  1. Hope Kuhn Top also realises how much his ownership is disliked amongst sections in our fanbase too. Don’t care about Vichai’s legacy - you’ve driven this club into the ground by complete negligence. Please sell the club you div.
  2. Rallying when the game is lost is this team all over.
  3. Can anyone PM me a stream?
  4. Allardyce is still loved by the Sunderland fans though. When you consider the predicament that Leeds are in, they aren’t going to appoint somebody to implement a long-term vision. If he keeps Leeds up, it’ll be a massive success. It’s that simple. I doubt he’d stay either, he’s 68 now, I’d imagine that he would pick up his £2.5m and leave on good terms. I wouldn’t bet against him keeping them up either. Nobody expects anything from him, but you know he’ll demand nothing less than 100% from the players. It will get the fans onside.
  5. I think you’re missing my point. I am not questioning his ability, it’s clear, he is an excellent footballer. It’s about how he performs in big moments as that’s what separates the good players from the elite. Look at the breakdown of his goal contributions this season, my feeling is that we would have won the majority even if he had not been in the team That’s not to say that we are a worse side without him. I agree with the sentiment that he should start the final four games. However, my challenge is that he doesn’t contribute enough when it really matters. Can you name a time that he has scored a genuine crucial goal for us? Except from PSV, I can’t name any, it’s hardly like it’s a small sample size either as he has been at the club since 2018.
  6. Yes, I completely agree. It’s fine to say that he is talented on his day, I get that, but he isn’t alone in that department (especially at this level). As harsh as this might sound, players are ultimately both judged and remembered for delivering in big moments. It’s partially why Vardy and Mahrez are so widely liked in our fanbase. If you looked at his technical ability then Maddison is a great player. But seasons aren’t defined by good goals in games that we have lost. You need players to turn up in those crucial matches, he just doesn’t do that enough IMO.
  7. Maddison going missing when it matters, imagine my shock.
  8. I was literally about to write something very similar. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" would be a suitable phrase to describe this. Our fans love to romanticise the championship because we have not been in it for a decade and our closest memories consist of the season that we went up with 102 points. I understand the argument that we will get new grounds and new places, but it really is not the answer if you're seeking enjoyment (which surely every supporter in the land is?). The harsh reality is that the championship is a real slog. Of course, you can glorify it with the thought of Plymouth away in August, but it's not that much fun when you are playing Hull City and Rotherham on freezing Tuesday nights.
  9. If this is the evening that we stay up, John Terry will be cutting about in Bigg Market
  10. Highlight was him geeing up the away fans every time he got a corner and every single time he couldn’t even beat his first man ffs
  11. I think that what we saw tonight is probably the solution. Vardy is my all time favourite player but he just isn’t good enough to start anymore. It is genuine insanity to keep picking him in the eleven. There is no shame in this but age has caught up with him and I really don’t think that he has the legs to be considered as a ‘starter.’ However, we could preserve Vardy by playing him as a substitute. If you are in a dogfight (which we are) then he is a brilliant option. That’s what we saw tonight. He’ll always be up for the fight and his status will always make defenders nervous and this can create space for other attackers. I really think that this is the best option. Kel should be first choice and we should utilise Vardy as a player from 60+ minutes. This strategy is essentially why Kevin Phillips had such a long career.
  12. Yep, I get some people have mitigating circumstances for whatever reason, but the reality is that very few people have to go at that specific point on a Saturday in April. Despite that, it was still pretty minor. The view from the touch line highlights that, I’d say that around 90% were still in their seats. Either way, really enjoyed it yesterday atmosphere wise - I hope that we can create a ‘siege mentality’ for the final few matches.
  13. It really made me laugh yesterday. A fair amount of people around me left at around 85 minutes, so bizarre. I just don’t understand it, yesterday was the most exciting game we have had since February and we are desperately clinging on to a lead. I don’t leave early myself, but I do get why the ground has emptied out at games like Villa and Bournemouth. However, yesterday was the first time in weeks that the players had showed some fight, at least back them right until the end. Surely that’s more important than beating the rush?!
  14. Oh, I agree. I feel that the article in the Athletic was only the tip of the iceberg, however.
  15. Have you watched him recently?!
  16. Yeah, agreed. People will point towards the need to rebuild our playing squad because it’s the most visible thing for supporters, but it is evident that the management also needs an overhaul. Like you say, we can forget promotion if we can’t get the basics right. Quite plausibly, a cold week in November could look like this for us: Millwall (A) Hull (H) Bristol City (A) When you factor in our current trajectory with injuries, we would be totally screwed. The thought of us dropping is actually terrifying
  17. Somebody needs to start holding this medical team accountable. Not only is the volume of injuries an obvious concern, but the lack of transparency over timeframe is a bigger issue. It has been a recurring theme for about two years now. Players get injured (we can all accept that) but it’s just the constant “Player X” will not be available for Saturday and no indication as to how long it will be. Our players seem to get fairly generic injuries and then you don’t see them for weeks. I just don’t understand it. Barnes is a prime example, it has happened about three times now.
  18. Not true. Three / four wins and a couple of draws would probably keep us. If you want odds, we are 6/5 to stay up.
  19. With our current situation, it’s probably a sensible appointment. I do understand why we didn’t appoint Rafa, he would have wanted a three year deal on massive money - an interim is what we needed. Dean Smith doesn’t fill me with excitement, but it’s not necessarily what we need at the moment. I have always thought that he’s of a similar mould to Pearson, you just know that he’ll demand full effort and take us back to basics. What you see is what you get, no throwing players under the bus or blaming the weather. I don’t particularly like him as a person, but I have a feeling Terry will turn out to be decent. He was lauded with praise at Villa. We need somebody who can teach the dark arts to our players too. Also happy to see Shakespeare, very few people will know the club like him and he’ll get the fans onside. I guess time will tell, they’re faced with a near impossible task on Saturday but it gets ‘easier’ after that. After saying for ages that literally anybody is better than Rodgers, it’s nice to see somebody through the door. Eight cup finals and this isn’t going to be an easy task. However, Smith has the opportunity to make himself a cult hero here though, just imagine if he keeps us up at the expense of Notts Forest.
  20. I still think that he’ll be appointed, but I find it interesting how it has gone from an imminent arrival to us now ‘exploring other options.’ I reckon that there is an element of the club pushing the story through journalists like Percy and Tanner to gauge social media reaction amongst fans. Either way though, the clock is ticking and we desperately need to get somebody through the door. Feel sorry for Sadler and Stowell. They seem to be getting quite a lot of flack on social media, but it isn’t their fault that we are in this predicament. This almost feels like an impossible job, and when you couple that with the fact that neither have the managerial experience, it makes for a difficult situation. I can’t help but feel that the absence of any concrete plan is going to cost us massively here.
  21. We have gone from one of the best run clubs in the country to one of the worst in the space of about two years. I would love to see how this would hold up in a court of law, isn’t this freedom of speech, no? I would question what grounds the club actually has to ban the supporter. If it wasn’t controversial / abusive then you have to question what legal rights they have. I do not recall entering a legally binding contract with the club whereby I would not be at liberty to post whatever I wanted on social media (within reason). The club is run by charlatans these days.
  22. So, essentially you either play somebody who has never played RW or force another player out of their natural position. I have already said on my post that in an ideal world, I’d play Ricardo on the right but we have a shortage of full backs, so that isn’t possible atm. I am not saying that Tete is the answer (I don’t think he is for a second) but you have to think about balance.
  23. Well, the question was about our best eleven currently. You clearly didn’t take the time to read what the OP said.
  24. Currently: Iversen Ricardo Söyuncu Souttar Kristiansen Mendy KDH Barnes Maddison Tete Iheanacho Without injuries: Iversen Justin Söyuncu Souttar Kristiansen Mendy Tielemans Barnes Maddison Ricardo Iheanacho I would be tempted to push Ricardo up the pitch (when Justin is back) as I am staying to think that Tete is nowhere near good enough. I also think that it’s imperative for Mendy to start. I really like Ndidi, but in terms of regression, he is right up there.
  25. Cheers, Nige.
