From the sounds of it, he'd make a good coach rather than a good keeper

This is the big one, the system keeps teams in their "lane". You don't see sustained success. You aren't able to really break out from where you are. Look at Newcastle the other year, champions league space, then year after struggled hard. Villa this year, Champions league space, struggling in the league.

Where's this news come from?

Fast track is probably a poor phrase to use, more give opportunities and actually be shown the pathway. Rather than sporadic approach we've used for basically every other young player we have.

If we're financially as ****ed as suggested, fast track him. Show him he has consistent, guaranteed game time as long as he continues to show his ability and progress..

The rules are unfair and do prevent ambitious clubs growing. And that did start our issues. We've then decided to continually chuck petrol on the situation and made it 100x worse.

We continue to show ambition to be one of the worse ran clubs in the country

I'm not fully against the cheaper fullback options. Absolutely no reason we can't spend smaller amounts and fine some absolute gems in the football league and abroad.
