Chanel 404 on Sky

I wonder if this is why we didn't get Rohl. If he was told there would be major outgoings and hardly anyone coming in. Maybe it wasn't down to issues with Wednesday after all. And if (more likely) the club didn't disclose this to any new potential manager, what is Marti feeling now. Hi Marti, want to manage us? We've got some great players like Mads and BEK and Winks. Wouldn't you love to work with them?

Yes it is. Poor players in a week squad that looked on for relegation before Rohl rescued them. Now Rohl has gone and they've lost a lot of players and haven't replaced them and people are nervous they're going to give us a tough game? And for all the 'it would be typical Leicester' comments, that was Leicester pre Marti. He certainly isn't going to let us get dominated by half a team and a load of kids, and if we somehow do start to look as though we're struggling, he's got the tactical nouse to change it up. Don't fall into the trap of thinking we're back with Cooper and RvN who just put a side out and hoped for the best. We now have a manager who knows what he's doing. -
Apparently, they haven't scored a goal in their pre season games. Nuno is trying to change the way they play as they got found out at the end of last season. Could be a season of struggle ahead.

Was that the ghost of Bernie walking behind him on New Walk??

Read somewhere that the reason the fox on the badge is gold is to commemorate ten years since the title win. And there's a QR thing in the badge that if you scan it, it says 'Our glorious leader thanks you for your purchase, 90% of which will go towards King Power staff redundancies'

Christian Fuchs. He was a joy to watch every week.

Fatawu with 14, Luke Thomas with the other -
Let's turn this around. If we were in the Prem buying a goalkeeper that missed half the season with an injury and had just been relegated, and we spent £20m to £25m on him, people would be losing their minds. "Paying over the odds again for an injury prone relegated keeper"

An Arsenal mate of mine reckons they are in for Eze -
True, but Rodgers was happy to drop Kasper and play Ward in front of him. Puel bought him as back up. Rodgers wanted him to be our number one keeper. And anyway, Rodgers deserves shit for buying Ward, even if he didn't!

So if it is £16mil, with the Coady and Wilf money, that's around £26mil we've raised so far with possibly others going out. Wage bill down, nice profit overall and now funds for Marti to bring in a couple of his own players. It's not bad you know - with the caveat that we may well have sold Mads for less than his value.

Surprised Brighton haven't shown an interest. He seems like the ideal player for them. -

If there's one thing we're not going to be under Marti, it's complacent. He doesn't sit back after scoring, he wants the team to constantly attack. He'll see this as an excellent opportunity to not only get the first points on the board, but to put in an excellent performance in his first proper home game and also on Sky. I genuinely think we're going to rip Wednesday apart and that will set up us nicely. -
Hamza no thanks. Apart from his personal issues, we've loaned him out and tried to sell him and now we're going to make him captain? Thomas, you must be joking. He struggles to concentrate on his own game, never mind anyone else's. Warming to Nelson if he's going to be a regular starter but how about his CB partner (hopefully) Okoli. He's a beast and he looks like he'd get respect from the players, and I always believe the best captains are defenders.

After the miracle of the Great Escape, then Nige being relieved of his duties and Ranieri coming in, the feeling of absolute joy when we destroyed Sunderland was immense. I remember coming out of the ground and saying to my Dad, if those players had Chelsea shirts on, people would be saying they're going to win the league. We were genuinely that good. And then we walked past a sour faced Sunderland fan who was banging on about how lucky Leicester were....

Well we've just sold one of our worst players for over his market value so swings and roundabouts.

Does Guillem live in Croft or around there? He used to go to the Heathcote with Enzo as well. -
He was available on a free last year. He's just been relegated, he has injury issues and his form isn't anywhere near what it was. And now someone is willing to pay £9mil for him. Smart deal for us but no wonder football is in such a mess.
-
If he's staying then that seemingly farewell to the crowd yesterday was odd. Unless he was saying, See you all next week!
-
We appear to be learning lessons. If this comes off, just over £10mil for Coady and Wilf. Has Marti been given the DoF role as well as manager...? Wilf would leave with my utmost thanks and respect. We thought we'd really struggle to find a replacement for Kante but in came Wilf who just slotted in and was almost as good as Kante for a few good seasons. He never seemed to lose a tackle. Injuries have left their mark on him but he never gave more than 100%, never caused any trouble and genuinely seemed to love playing for us for all these years. Another era potentially coming to an end but at least we can look to the future with some hope and excitement again now. Cheers Wilf.

I really rate him. Wish he'd got more game time last season so we didn't have to watch the usual duds play week in, week out. But new manager, fresh start and a run of games will show what he can do. Saw enough today to see he's going to be an excellent CB in the Championship.
