  1. You'd be surprised at how fussy some of our rough sleepers are. Last winter, on a very wet and cold day, I went to the baked potato place on Halford Street for lunch and bought an extra one for a guy in a sleeping bag nearby. "No thanks" he said, "I've got plenty" as he lifted his covers to show his well stocked supply. The next one I asked said "nah, I don't really like beans, try them down there, they might take it off your hands". I couldn't give the thing away. I had to go to a hair dressers where I knew a girl who worked there and give it to her!
  2. What a great game! Made even better for me by being on the pitch before kick-off taking part in an inter-schools penalty competition, and getting changed afterwards in the players warm-up area of the changing rooms. The only slight disappointment of the whole day was that we all received free tickets but they were for seats with the old people up in the main stand, so I missed the fun and excitement with my usual mates in Pen 4. We even had our names printed in the match day program but my mum threw it out years later when she had a clear-out of the attic!
  3. Placed a small bet with Ladbrokes on-line and they've provided me with a stream of the game .... in case anyone else wants to do this.
  4. £5 on Harvey Barnes scoring 2 goals 20-1. Come on Harvey!
  5. Yes, I did wonder if it's coincidence that this 'huge spike' in injuries occurs just at a time when families want to spend time together!
  6. Was great today and showed a nice bit of confidence at times which was pretty cool in the circumstances. I'm a definite fan now I've seen him in a full game in his proper defensive role. He should get some more game time now and he'll open up some new options for us. Brilliant day for him.
  7. Brilliant result, and huge credit to the lads who have played so little this season. Great performance by Justin who I was a bit concerned about before the game, but he looked really confident at times. Gives us another option now as he can link up with Ricardo further forward.
  8. Fooking short run-ups for penalties
  9. He definitely attacked well and looked confident, but I thought the ball broke well for him a few times and could have easily gone the other way and made him look bad. The same a bit with Nacho when he's played recently. Still, am looking forward to seeing more of them both today and obviously hope it goes well.
  10. Slightly concerned by Justin in defence behind that midfield. I actually thought he looked a bit dodge when he came on in other games so I hope this isn't too much for him today.
  11. Would like to see 2 or 3 changes today, just to freshen things up. Fuchs, Gray and Hamza maybe.
  12. Yeah I think this might be right, especially after his remarks that the players would not be able to play all games coming up, so would have to be rotated. I've been wondering today if his instructions were as you've said.
  13. Really hope he actually does something this half time to change things. Albrighton on for Barnes should give us something more.
  14. Ha! That's a good reason why he didn't come on then! In my defence, I was watching on TV with a bunch of drunk people so we weren't listening to commentary or noticing much at all really, including who the subs were. But it was clear we had to change something.
  15. Should have brought Hamza on after 15mins to sit with Wilf, It would have helped Chilwell too. Was amazed we didn't change things at half time. Lucky to get away with 3-1 I think.
  16. It might not be a diamond. Maybe Vardy up top with Maddison and Iheanacho behind him. Good to see Praet in, him and Ndidi should keep the Villa midfield quiet.
  17. Can't see this working out I'm afraid. For all sorts of reasons.
  18. Talksport actually announced on Sunday that they "have heard that Leicester and Utd have come to an agreement to sell at £80mil"' I rushed on to this forum to check the news... and I now know where they 'heard' it from. I won't take any notice at all of what they say about anything really. I don't think he'll actually go. Utd seem to have dug a hole for themselves by this 'we're Man Utd and we don't overpay' stance.
  19. Nice to hear that he received so many messages from players after he left. It shows some definite respect and/or like for him, contrary to the claims of universal dislike around the club which the whispering campaign tried to have us believe. It makes me feel happier that he'll probably have some good memories of Leicester, and not just think that everyone's a c**t.
