  1. Next May is a long long time away, possibly that? The f1 has also moved to a May slot, that is in Montreal but they might be anticipating more passing tourists hence hold rooms to sell at a higher price nearer the time. I know Montreal is impossible on f1 weekend, I tried to go when I worked in the US and the city is virtually full on race weekend.
  2. The game this Saturday, 12pm ko, is on the Bundesliga YouTube channel
  3. It's a whole different thread if you're talking American snacks. Pure cancerous poison but so so good. Chik-fil-A original chicken sandwich and nuggets. WOW. Salivating
  4. Absolutely yes, forgot how much I liked them
  5. Have the K times been confirmed yet? I don't think they have. I am in Brussels in November
  6. Brits are obsessed with the weather, when it's hot, it's news worthy. When it's cold it's news worthy. I can imagine every office this morning began with people talking about the weather. Brits choose holiday destinations solely based on the weather. 'Let's go to Tenerife' 'Sure, what is there to do?' 'Nothing, but it's hot' 'I'm in'
  7. Drumsticks squashies. The chemical/carcinogen ingredients work so well. Just cannot stop eating them
  8. Media will probably put it down to ‘a strikers challenge’ but he’s tried to hurt him there rather than being bad at tackling
  9. Obvious red. Gordon is a little ‘insert banned word here’ just like Harry Kane. Skirting around the edges trying to hurt players under the radar. Deserved to get sent off
  10. Hahahah that’s mental!! Daggers got away with everything anyway. I remember a poster got banned for saying ‘cancer’ and one of dagger posts on the same thread was an unhinged drunken sweary rant. Great great reading
  11. Daggers was exceptional entertainment. Is the poster still around? Deranged borderline psychotic and drunken madness, but so witty.
  12. I’m the first to laugh at the palace Nigel ultras but an ex colleague sent me a video of their banner today. He sits with the Nigel fanatics. It’s brilliant, so funny. Can’t believe the Nigel’s had it in them
  13. You should defo do Auschwitz, it’s a must see for every person in the world. If you’re not doing that then two days is more than enough
  14. That’s common across many areas of London. Notting Hill, Queensway, Dulwich, Golders Green and East Finchley spring to mind. In east Finchley, billionaires row bishops avenue is spitting distance from a council block and best pub in the world the five bells
  15. Used to drink at the rose and crown, trinity and Dover castle a lot when I lived on Southwark bridge road. There was (may still be) a picture up at D Cas of when a bunch of us bought 50 jäger bombs and lined them up in a perfect train. Surprised storm bird is still open, seems a prime contender to be another closed pub
  16. I don’t mind. In fact maybe quite like it. What don’t you like about it? Kelly somers and jadon Mohamed are o good enough to read out the scores
  17. Over a year!!!
  18. I won't hear a bad word against PayPal. The hustle whereby you could pay your own PayPal account from your Amex and still earn points was exceptional.
  19. It's so bad it's funny now. Especially the anti-UK right wing bots on Twitter. Constant posts on 'this is why I'll be leaving the UK to Dubai soon, let's compare tax burdens...' A) It's all untrue B) You are talking to anxiety-ridden middle class numpties who have been working for the same employer for over a decade, and will never have the balls to leave their 50 mile radius, never mind move to another country!!!
  20. Did anyone just see the dog tied up in the Charlton end!!!!

Even better when you fly over it!
  22. When media hysteria about the supposed failings of Millennials peaked a few years ago, one of my kids posted a photo of a 17th century woodcut on social media. This lambasted Tudor youth for forsaking such improving pursuits as sword fighting and horse riding. Instead, they were smoking tobacco in long-stemmed clay pipes, dicing and — most worryingly of all — wearing floppy lace cuffs. Older folks’ worries about younger people are an eternal constant that tell us more about the characteristics of the former group than the latter.
  23. It was shelved by then surely. It reminds me of the early part of the 19/20 season when we were smashing everyone in sight. In particular the 2-0 win v Arsenal in torrential rain
  24. Who knows the name of it. You know the one though. Real blast from the past hearing the chorus
  25. I heard a jazzy remix of the old goal music in a cafe today. When did that stop? It’s a good song in a cafe context. The best goal song was kasabian - fire
