  1. Middle aged people in the office still moaning and whining about how much their pensions have gone down. I have politely noted to them the following helpful tips: - Continue to work hard - Stop buying avocado on toast on weekends - Live within their means - Get rid of Netflix - Bring a packed lunch - Find a pair of bootstraps and pull them up I am sure if these pointers are followed these people will have a prosperous retirement.
  2. He's still around because he's still got plenty of cash to make, even at his age he is still clearly a very marketable asset. He's looked after his physical health superbly, the benefit of that is you get longer at the table when there's money on it.
  3. Unfortunate. But reading the comments on this thread prove the severe lack of self-confidence and inbuilt weakness of some our fans. They haven't got it in them to produce a banner. 'I really don't care about the club BUT continue to relentlessly post and think about them, please believe me!!'
  4. If you draw jersey bulls in the fa vase you will have to come
  5. The best part of watching this is albrighton on commentary. Clearly still in tune with the club and giving good insight into the club during his time
  6. Unless you have black edge you are not going to 'understand' the market. So get some black edge or accept we are wedded to a capitalist system, so you will more than likely always end up with a risk premium over the long term if you do invest. Which over a 10-year ish period every decent global ETF will have left you with a very healthy risk premium.
  7. 2 years is nothing. If you're going down that route the best investment by far is overpaying your mtg.
  8. Back to back games for Jersey bulls v Redhill this weekend and next. Both teams locked on 89 points in 1st and 2nd spot, so these two games will decide the title. Over 100 fans flying from Jersey to the away fixture in Redhill today
  9. Ok understood now...So if you're phasing you don't need to sh1t yourself because the markets will swing back. And if you're taking a lump sum, by now the majority of your pot should be bonds-focused, in which case you've done well out of this. As usual quite a lot of hyperbole and OTT before reality appears.
  10. That's what I thought. I thought the pension provider automatically eased you further into bonds and certainly away from equities the nearer you got to retirement. I thought you actively had to choose to stay full blast in equities if you were nearing retirement. In which case you know exactly what you're getting into and cannot start moaning when equities do what equities do. Is that not the case then? I cannot imagine a world where you're 66.5 and still heavily exposed to the whims of equities in your pot, but maybe I am too risk averse!!
  11. A few bad days yes but as arteta wisely says ‘trust the process.’ There’s been some insane and totally unjustified gains recently, a bad day and a correction was always due, the recovery will take place. Keep putting money in that pension young man
  12. Clive Clarke game in 2007, sure we didn’t sell out, at least there were empty seats dotted around our end. We’ll be back or they’ll be down soon enough
  13. You said it yourself mush, paper losses! Grow a backbone and keep going snowflake!
  14. Yeh UK tax residents only, that's why I clearly said that in my initial post. Which I am not.
  15. I think the BoE analysis showed over 10m people took up an ISA in the last available reporting period, 22/23 maybe. That's not a minority. Furthermore, every single employee should be investing into a pension, which is obvs affected by the tax year dates. There's no arguments or deflection necessary here, unless your approaching retirement, Trump has got something very nice 'done' for you.
  16. Exactly, need a bit of a dip as buying opportunities have been few n far between of late. Good value companies are still good value companies. And this is perfectly timed for all you UK tax residents, new year starting on Sunday, new ISA allowances. Trump is an idiot but his timing is magnificently prescient and amazingly advantageous. As his voters often say, Trump gets things done and he certainly is doing so here.
  17. Decent post. We are only one memecoin owner away from winning the Champions league within the next 10 years and Forest away in May being equivalent to Yeovil away, meaning 50,000 city fans really believed in the team and went to the match. At least I am confuddling my 'algorithms' as my two outstanding bets are 'Leicester not to score another goal in season 24/25' and 'Leicester to win the Champions League/equivalent premier European trophy before 30 June 2034' Elon and the DOGE team wondering - does this guy believe in Leicester or not!?
  18. magnesium is insane. Very light sleeper, never slept more than an hour or so at a time over 5-6 hours a night. Tried magnesium spray and now regularly sleep for 5 hours undisturbed. Been doing this since late November so a long enough period to be statistically significant. https://www.pharmanord.co.uk/all-products/daily-supplements/magnesium-supplements
  19. It ends with the champions league final in Doha in 5 years time. Then another few years down cycle including a defeat to Coalville in the FA cup 4th round qualifier and all the ticket office shambles crowd proclaiming they've been non league fans since day 1. Then back up and winning the expanded 256 hybrid club/country world cup in Yemen in 2042.
  20. You can. Let me know the details and I’ll join
  21. Tbf I know of one dude who was asked to sit in his actual seat at Boro snow game 2013, he said there's 20k empty seats so I'll sit where I want. Argument with the steward ensued, vowed never to come back and has stuck to it to this day. Missed the title, Europe etc etc. Now that is a person with some guts/insane lengths of ego which I morbidly respect, a lot. The rest of course will make a huge song and dance of not going for a few years then will be going again within a few years.
  22. Boycott is a good idea, have not seen this mentioned before.
  23. Nobody needs a medal for going to Hooters on a sunny spring weekend. Just pay by cash so nothing appears on the credit card statement
  24. Flew in with Ryanair. Got on the bus. Very quick transfer and £15-20 rtn fare. I’m sure bus is the best option
  25. Happened to me a few years ago. Got a few random bits I didn’t order, as did others on the street. Someone said it was a scam whereby sellers send items to random addresses so they can put positive reviews onto the product page themselves. I sold all the junk and didn’t think about it after that
