The quality in this league is so poor

Do UK fans make a difference to these clubs? Stadiums are mainly built for corporate and holding other events. The overseas TV and media contracts seem to eclipse UK revenue. It appears all commercial revenue comes from abroad, I cannot think of one UK based sponsor in the PL. I don't think the junkie followers make any difference, if they disappeared overnight it would not matter. Don't have any numbers to back this up tho.

Multi billion dollar industry is corrupt. Hold the front page. But seriously, define broken. It's a great money laundering exercise and billionaire play thing at the top level.

Woolwich Arsenal are a docklands club through and through. Prob did get called the 1913 version of plastics until the generation forgot about it, just like youngsters now will think AFC wimbo and MK dons are two distinct clubs. And Arsenal moving out of Plumstead was for v similar reasons, low crowds and not enough money before a new investor took them over and moved them North

After Arsenal at home in August 2016, first home game as champions, after the match at the Highcross i overheard a bloke at the bar say ‘I wish we were back in league 1 as it was so much better then.’ I have no context as to why he said it, but over all these years I’ve thought about him frequently. During the champions league run, the champagne football of 2019, fa cup win and in Rome at the semi final. Well today that m*****++++++cker got his wish

Home and Away Support/Atmosphere

Weird isn’t it. But maybe the world we live in today? People will care about this club despite it being cannibalised Infront of their eyes. Similar to happy clappers blindly voting for Farage and trump despite the open hatred they have for said voters -

Yep agreed. Weird bringing a tea set to a football match but it’s not the biggest issue. We’ve got loads of uniformly dressed and barely coherent happy clapping kids in our fanbase who can’t handle £10 of coke to balance the afternoon tea drinkers -

I went to drink with two friends and go to a new ground. Had a cracking day out, throat is sore from laughing and shouting. Left bang on 90 mins too, they don’t deserve any of my emotion. If you’re going because you’re thinking this team will perform any differently, you’re the definition of insane -
Football is an anchor point, myself and many friends are not gonna come back to Leicester to have breakfast. Fine to say if you live in Leicester and never gonna move away, but obvs many city fans and their friends/family have spread far and wide.

This is elite professional sport (or supposed to be in our case) the whole business model is chew them up and spit them out. My pal who is a sports lawyer has a lot worse stories than this if happy clappers want to get offended about the brutal reality of sport. It's not like the civilian world where we raise a collection and anonymously sign a card with 'soooooo gonna miss you!!' when random colleagues leave. My colleague is leaving to NYC next week and we all chucked in a tenner to buy him vouchers to a strip club there

If we get to Wembley v Tranmere all the happy clapping ‘games gone mate’ types will be queuing up to go
-
Anyone know good pubs in the area? Not football specific
-
No, will have to be pick up from the ground for me as I am away until matchday

I have previously used Integrar - Contact us - Integrar - for smaller resi issues before and they appear reasonably priced but man I really hate/distrust high st solicitors. Often it's more effort overall because you have to chase them and provide all your records anyway. Would understand if you can't be arsed to do it yourself but defo worth considering if you keep getting silly quotes
-
Lol yeh that’s mental for the work involved. You don’t need a local solicitor for work like this, if you deal with a broker or mtg provider often you could ask them to suggest a solicitor from their panel

Had exactly the same on Friday. The 4.7% ale. I thought it was nice

5 cans of Chang

Bunk (chicken restaurant) in town is decent value for food, all cocktails £6.50. Nice venue. Went after the match today
