  1. Lock it in my suitcase with my own lock. I never use hotel safes as the staff invariably have a master key
  2. Cheers, no interest in golf but seems a decent day out. Is the masters the one in Augusta in the USA? Apparently iconic, our client takes some of us but I’d still have to cover accommodation and apparently it’s v pricey so I leave it to the golf lovers at work. Looks beautiful tho, sure you’ll love it
  3. Belfast is fun, doesn't feel like Ireland or the UK, enough to keep you occupied. I'm staying there in July as going to the Open golf tournament in Portrush.
  4. Tbf he's done his research 'leicester aren't going to put these seats up for general sale, which I find disappointing' - is a good line to get the ticket office shambles posters up and at em. Then outs himself as a Gooner with the 'super appreciate' at the end unfortunately.
  5. London in the summer is a totally different beast. Few old fashioned's on Madison rooftop after work before going to some world class (probably free) culture in a park followed by a Michelin star dinner all before it gets dark surrounded by young people with energy before they've had all the life sucked out of them. What's not to like.
  6. You think we are on the cusp of furiosa now!? AI is going to solve a lot of problems and find efficiencies, renewable energy sources are steaming ahead, James Webb has made insane discoveries to aid human life, proportion of people living in extreme poverty continues to go down, people dying in conflicts is still relatively low historically, we are still working and physically active at an age where most people were long dead about 100 years ago as life expectancy rises, child mortality rate has fallen off a cliff, hunger rates are going down. Hell, even if you're fat and can't be bothered to take responsibility for your own health, there's an injection for that!!! I get the popular narrative is to make everyone sad and depressed because it is so phenomenally profitable, but that's not the whole truth. Granted you can prob counter my good points about the world with loads of bad points....
  7. Agreed but the attempts need to be well informed and educated, whilst considering and listening to what concerns people have. Because getting it wrong has dire consequences, as we are seeing now. It's far from a 'got nothing to lose so might as well have a go' situation. If you don't know how to effectively communicate with people, just zip it. Yeh can see why that could be misread tbf, I wasn't suggesting 'ignoring' populism to beat it, but leave it to people that know how to talk. The 'best' political communicators are clearly not the best if they have spectacularly failed to see or solve the problem. Especially if they are being outwitted by orangeman's brigade just shouting 'fake news!!!!!' and then they have no comeback. Sort of a microcosm of the West to an extreme extent, we've had the baby boomers who have got so fat, lazy and stupid after years of being spoiled that they have no idea of how to resist challenge. And the current generation have all got anxiety and a lack of resilience, so just assume we can't solve these problems and it must be the other person's fault.
  8. That's why most people, especially those in this forum, should simply not even try. And when they spectacularly fail, not blame it on other people.
  9. If you’re consistently getting accused of treating people stupidly and talking down to them, it would prob be wise to assess how you’re communicating. I’m naturally liberal but leave the communication with daily mail readers to far cleverer people than me, who never get accused of the above
  10. Fantastic mate, brilliant. Look forward to hearing about no.16 next month and keep on doing what you're doing so well.
  11. Nice one, I always look out for your posts, you seem to do your trips properly. Keep posting with your plans and reviews.
  12. On the day a panorama doc on mould in houses was aired on the BBC as well. Just shows that being rich creates not only the resources to fight issues like this, but the time, intellect and attitude to go through the system and keep fighting, knowing you have very little to lose. They are right btw and should've won this case, it appears.
  13. It's defo irksome, more so to me because I live on an island and the dry robe wronguns are trying to flex by creating the impression they're well 'ard and have been into the sea at 6am in -3. A bit like wearing military gear in the USA.
  14. Nice one, good to know. I have heard it is a fun city as well. My wife has been twice so I won't be able to do the usual 'WOAH flights to Valencia seem really good value we should go on that weekend and OMG you wouldn't believe it but I've just seen the local football team are playing at home as well JUST WOW we have to go to that game' kind of trip. Will try and rope a friend in.
  15. Same when I had 3 weeks off at the start of the year. Longest period since I was 16. Would love to write one of those LinkedIn posts like…. ‘I had three weeks off from drinking and it changed my life. From better sleep, higher performance at work, an elongated penis, fifteen new eyes and the ability to walk at 50 mph, here’s why I’ll be carrying on sober. A thread’ But in reality it made no difference
  16. Didn't realise the Mestella was getting knocked down!!! That will be the new priority stadium to get to this season then. Valencia is prob an easy two day Ryanair trip
  17. Very fun day out, the ground is unique. Standard of football at step 3 is so bad because teams can barely string 4 passes together so it’s hard to follow. An 88th min leveller and 94th min winner was fun. Some fantastic Harvey’s beers during the day
  18. All of you absolute luddites who posture about hating VAR. Pat yourselves on the back
  19. I tend to organise myself to watch city games wherever in the world I am, and make plans dedicated around our KO times. I have only missed Villa away and Fulham home of all our games this season. Tonight I am simply going out and hope wherever we are will have the game on, no problem if not. Unheard of for me. Maybe this is the first signs of me becoming one of those miserable internet people who have had all the life and soul sucked out of them, and are left as a human wreckage of unfulfilled promise and malaise, someone who once had some energy and hope. If you see me posting about how much of a shambles everything is, send HELP.
  20. They would’ve seen how far we dropped a few months back when we separately shipped 3 and 5 at old Trafford
  21. Every single game of ours is televised worldwide. If the world is bothered they’ll have seen how far we’ve dropped last Saturday
  22. 2019 Arsenal, remember walking home drenched but thinking this club is really big time now. Just easily swotted aside Arsenal who came to the KP, sat back and hoped for a draw at best
  23. Beginning - West Ham home April 2015. That game really could’ve gone either way, was basketball at the end. End - Roma away May 2022.
  24. No chance, defo watching live at 4am. Will be a long day of sport with city kicking off at 7pm on the day
  25. Totally agree, if you don't want to go, stop posturing, grow a backbone and simply don't go. It is selfish
