Both Tosin Aderabioyo and Lloyd Kelly linked with Newcastle on Frees. Two smart pick ups there
-
Sorry to be really pedantic but… The obligation for Yunus is €10m = ~£8.5m The obligation for Fatawu is €17m = ~£14.5m

Not exactly us… but, after beating United on Monday, Palace are guaranteed to finish on, between 40-49pts for the 11th consecutive season. In that time Leicester have: - Won the Championship 🏆 - Great escape season - Won the Premier League 🏆 - Made the Champions League QF’s - Won the FA Cup 🏆 - Won the Community Shield 🏆 - Made a European Semi Final - Been relegated - Won the Championship (again) 🏆 Know which I’d rather! Never dull being a Leicester fan🎢

For the midfield I’d go Bernabé and Gronbaek. Bernabé could cover either KDH or the Winks role at a push, shouldn’t be too expensive and has worked with Enzo before. Gronbaek again hopefully shouldn’t be too expensive, and on lower wages coming from Scandinavia, and would suit the other 8 position providing a more naturally attacking option. Then if Ndidi leaves, Brownhill on a free. Not the most exciting option, but played in a similar system at Burnley, imagine he’d be on a smaller wedge than Ndidi and has a good engine. Gronbaek - Winks - KDH subs: Brownhill - Hamza - Bernabé (Braybrooke) - (Alves)
-
Tried to consolidate some of the names that have been mentioned/ or we’ve been linked with before. Although typically imagine our signings will come from completely left field. RB - Hume, Sigur RCB - Van den Berg, Nagalo, Edwards, Adarabioyo, THB LCB - Nathan Zeze, Greaves, Doyle, Burrows RCM - Gronbaek, Brownhill, O’hare, James, Barkley, Hamer, Sensi LCM - McAtee, Sara, Bernabé, O’Riley LW - Nanasi, Johnston, Philogene, Hamilton RW - Hutchinson, Rak-Sakyi, Whittaker ST - Ioannidis, Hzolek
-
Didn’t see the sliding incident after the game, which knee has KDH supposedly injured? Is it me or has he got a protective boot or something on his right leg at the awards dinner??
-
Perfect opportunity to give Alves and Braybrooke half an hour in the league. Nelson from the start. And Albrighton (on as Captain) and Cannon, for Vardy and one of the wingers for the last 10/15 mins. Hermansen Nelson - Vestergaard - Justin Ricardo - Winks McAteer - Ndidi - KDH - Mavididi Vardy Stolarczyk / Coady / Faes / Hamza / Braybrooke / Alves / Fatawu / Albrighton / Cannon
-
Maybe putting McAteer in the shop window… Also wonder if he’s testing possible back 3 for next season… although I certainly hope not!!

Next Seasons Squad - Can we now talk about it?
Foxes96 replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
Initial thoughts below minimum. Ideally sell Daka and get another striker in as well - Hlozek? Dependent on someone paying his residual value I guess. Imagine incomings are going to be free’s/ loans/ low value id imagine ie. Brownhill or Barkley. Hermansen / Stolarczyk/ Ward Ricardo / Trai Hume? New CB / Nelson Vestergaard / Coady New LB / JJ Winks / Hamza / Braybrooke New RCM / Ndidi KDH / Yunus / Alves Fatawu / New Winger Vardy / Daka / Cannon Mavididi / Wanya Renew - Vesty, Vardy and Wilf. Release - Iheanacho, Albrighton, Praet Buy - x5 players Sell - Faes, Soumaré, Souttar, Kristiansen, Thomas, Iversen -

Imagine we will start with the usual 11 for this one to hopefully wrap up the league, and then some rotation for Blackburn. Either way would like to see Alves, Braybrooke, Cannon and Nelson get minutes. Hermansen Faes - Vestergaard - Justin Ricardo - Winks Fatawu - Ndidi - KDH - Mavididi Vardy Stolarczyk / Coady / Nelson / Hamza / Braybrooke / Alves / Albrighton / Yunus / Cannon -
Championship team of possible transfers. Who has impressed you?

Mikey Johnston from WBA also has an agent who we like to do business with. Could be a cost effective alternative to Stephy. -
I think in that atmosphere it’s more likely Abdul would get a rush of blood to the head and go flying in similar to the Cov game. Either way think Yunus deserves a chance after his cameo on Saturday.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Foxes96 replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Guess this is good news for us. Can see us getting similar punishment? 6 points for breach for 3 year period ending 2022/23. And then a further 2 when we inevitably breach for the current period ending 23/24. If that’s the case, in particular the +2 so there’s not double jeopardy, we might as well keep KDH et al. and take the 2 point deduction rather than selling our best players in June to be compliant. -
Can’t afford to lose either Ndidi or Pereira. After Millwall the fixtures are spaced relatively more evenly meaning Ricky and Wilf should hopefully able to play all of the remaining games. Vs. Millwall Hermansen Coady - Vestergaard - Justin Hamza - Winks Akgun - Praet - KDH - Mavididi Vardy Vs. Plymouth Hermansen Faes - Vestergaard - Doyle Ricardo - Winks Fatawu - Ndidi - KDH - Mavididi Daka
-
Mad to think KDH could end up winning the Championship Player of the Season, but not our POTS… For me Ricky has been our best player this season. Adapted to his new role really well, and everything he does oozes class
-
That’s now 26 apps for us, when does the option become an obligation again?
-
5 subs Enzo. FIVE?? That’s insane 😂
-
Might be going against the grain here but don’t think Daka played too badly against Norwich. Didn’t get involved much but our strikers rarely do these days. Cannon likely still injured, and Vardy better to come on for the last 30 mins imo. Would start Coady over Faes, but imagine Enzo is worried by the lack of pace in the back 3 then. Hermansen Faes - Vestergaard - Doyle Ricardo - Winks Fatawu - Ndidi - KDH - Mavididi Daka Stolarczyk / Coady / Justin / Hamza / Praet / Yunus / Wanya / Iheanacho / Vardy

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

Covid losses apply to 19/20 and 20/21, which is taken as an average for the purposes of PSR. So £105m permissible losses for (avg. of 19/20 & 20/21), 21/22 and 22/23. The next 3 yr accounting period is 21/22, 22/23 and 23/24, with permissible losses of £83m. -

With everything going on with Transfer embargo’s etc. the one shining light if we don’t go up is we will get to see much more of the likes of Nelson, Wanya, Alves, Braybrooke and Briggs in the first team next season! -
Does seem premature. Giving us a transfer embargo for breaching rules we’ve not even broken yet. Hopefully the EFL have messed up here. Although they do seem to be going after us with extra vengeance. Probably because we’ve embarrassed them!

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Foxes96 replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yes very true, will edit my post as that could be misleading. As you say still likely to represent a huge loss after allowable deductibles, which will make it very challenging for us to be compliant for the three year rolling period ending 2023 and again ending 2024. -

Foxes96 replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Exactly this. And in our case 21/ 22 we lost £92.5m overall (will be less for PSR calculations due to allowable deductibles. But will still be a huge figure). Where we signed Soumaré, Vestergaard and Daka and didn’t sell anyone for significant amount. So every three year period that includes that one, as per the two highlighted above, we are going to really struggle to fall under the £105m threshold. (Will be even less for next year due to 23/24 being in the Championship). Including the current three year period up to last year, 22/23, Which includes massive sales of Fofana and Maddison. -

Would also argue this is why we need to increase our commercial revenue, so we can spend more in the long run. So the Stadium expansion needs to happen - which would also be exempt from PSR calculations, now we have planning permission!
