Development/Youth Squads 2025/2026 Thread - U18/U21

Its not unusual for players to dip in and out of u21s football and Mens football, and as has been mentioned millions of times now; unless the big expensive players go they won't have a sure spot in the team. -

Wonder what the reason is for Jake Evans not signing a deal? We’ve started to prove there is a path way. also surprising he’s not in any England youth team squads considering his goal contributions -

Hope people can finally see the true benefits to these facilities for the clubs long term future. Monga, Page and Aluko will be just the start! -
Not enough chances created in central positions, rubbish corners, inverted wingers meaning not enough crosses first time. These are just basics that need to be addressed
-
He’s basically become like Harry Arter was to forest but probably gonna end up costing us far more. I can’t see any quality in him that even shows he’s a championship level footballer, which let’s be honest he should be pissing this league! obviously doesn’t come across as a bad bloke and not his fault hes been signed for £20m but some sort of agreement needs to be reached to rid of him for his and our sake

Kabore is joining the list of fullbacks ive been impressed with this season, along with Thierry Small

https://www.cityam.com/gen-z-will-need-at-least-3m-to-retire-comfortably/ what chance have we got, I'm 28; think I've done okay but I'm about £3m short!
-
Ayew, Mavididi and Ricardo are great options off the bench
-
I'd be more patient with Page, he's got loads of development to do as we have seen when he played; u21 games won't be too bad for him whilst he trains with the first team.
-
Mate he probably is still our current best defender. Just accept this is the level and move on 🤣🤣
-
everyone was saying he must start etc now has a badish game everyone starts fuming.
-
the club has no money, we won't be getting an upgrade on him so just get used to him; I don't think he's brilliant but I don't think he's awful for the championship
-
wingers need to be getting closer to the box, need fullbacks (maybe stop the inverted fullback stuff??) or centre mids (like Ndidi used to) overlapping but we aren't getting that at the moment
-
formation doesn't seem to be working for me, would like a change up.
-
Obviously got those arms from lifting so many cards!

If you can’t win, don’t lose!

Or perhaps further investment into the newly successful academy! One can dream

I personally think Martin believed Faes would be off to Turkey, hence why he wasn't starting him etc; therefore Nelson would've had a spot. Sadly, hasn't worked out and should've gone out on loan in hindsight. -
well if he is lets hope its £40m+ a big fat sell on clause

I honestly can’t understand it, he looked one of our better players in general in preseason! -

First team is crying out for Aluko -
How can he talk about it on the tv without apparently any evidence and not expect a lawsuit to come of this? 🤣🤣🤣🫣
-
58p!!
-
I feel for him. Not once has he been a nob to us and clearly is trying his best but his form is dismal. i don’t understand it at all, not like he’s been begging for a move away or anything but just doesn’t seem right in the head.
