That's probably the worst comparison I've seen! 😂 Winks has played at a reasonable level in the prem and has had ok games for us and Spuds. Jerome never played in the champions league to my knowledge.

Whilst true we shouldn't negate the quality of the squad to jeopardise promotion. It's a fine balance act. Hermansen, Coady and Ndidi is a good start but there others we should be moving on before Winks. I.e. Vesty, Soumare etc...

I doubt it. They need a starting CB in the prem which Nelson isn't yet they have like 3 development CBs in the house already. As Colwill has starting experience I reckon they will want someone similar.

Think some people need to be realistic some of the fees quoted, 40m having a laugh! He was probably the best shot stopper in the prem for the first 10 games, but he had 2 injuries keeping him out for extended periods of time. When he played in between those injuries he wasn't the same player. We were never going to get north of 20m looking at the previous season as a whole. The fee sucks and below what we'd want for him but we lost our leverage years ago thanks to the decisions made by the SLC.

5m for Kone and sent Evans there on a season long loan (after he signs a new contract of course 😅). Get it done Rudders!
