This is the way football has been designed to work.

There's very few positives, people say we'll be able to play the kids to get some identity back but any decent kids might get poached too for a fraction of their value. A great reset might not materialise really.

Used to go there with Lancaster boys too, can't say I particularly enjoyed it.

Shite team mates, shite atmosphere within the club, shite manager, shite tactics, no direction from the board, most likely fed a story of how things will be if they sign up, crappy or no signings for several transfer windows in a row. It's a bit like working at a firm that you know is on the way down and morale is at an all time low.

It's going to be mega tough in League 1. We might not have a budget for a new manager or players as any funds from player sales will be needed to cover existing player contracts and to keep the lights on at seagrave. Other teams will play a low block and we'll have to try and break them down, it's bleak.

Could we go down to league 2?

It's quite often easier to buy the plot you want with a house already on it and knock the old house down and start again. That's what everyone I know has done. Can sometimes work out cheaper too with the price of some land being ridiculous right now but it all depends on where you want to do it.
