There may well be truth in this but it always strikes me as odd when a manager's sacking is seemingly based on a single result. Given our erratic form we may well beat WBA but if we do it's unlikely that we'll gain any momentum from it as we'll no doubt lose the next 2 away league games afterwards. Surely they either back Marti in the transfer window (if only with freebies) or they should have sacked him after the Sheff United game? They may have even persuaded more to ignore the boycott if they'd done the latter.
