I don't think it's really said enough how he isn't captain material. He never wanted the armband in the past and I get giving it him because he's the goat but there is such a lack of leadership in the team now. Those core values you need to pick everyone up when you're losing just aren't there. No one looks bothered. It's so sad to see.

There was a genuine air of we should be doing better than 15th from the players though with Cooper. You'd think we were bottom and cut adrift the way Winks was going on. I think when Top went to speak to them all after the Copenhagen trip, he will have said right go and ****ing show me you're as good as you say. Problem is they aren't. I hate what we're becoming and we've had so many opportunities to turn it round.

The funny thing is that even when we were 14th/15th under Cooper (and clearly even undeserving of being that high), Winks did an interview where he was adamant they should be higher. There was/is clearly still a sense in the squad that most of them are much better than where we are (where we heard that before?) I wonder if recent results are making them question if they were all a bit harsh on Cooper's tactics, and it's them who need to look at themselves? Probably not.

What's this about him going up to Palace players at the end and going up to their supporters pumping his chest? Been good for us this season but disappointed to hear that.

I wasn't as against Cooper as most were but I don't think anyone can say it was working. We had more points than some below us but didn't deserve to. There wasn't any evidence of a coherent plan or that the players were buying into him. I think if he just had one of them he would have kept his job. Even if every stat like xG was well in the favour of sacking him. Sacking him was one thing Top has actually got right in the last few years.

And the narrative from outside will be that we sacked Cooper outside of the relegation zone and he was getting the best out of a terrible squad. I will not be surprised at all to see Ruud walk in the next week.

The real issue with this team, that I feel like they were trying to say on the pod but didn't actually word it right, is the lack of players who care enough about the overall team/club. You can't underestimate the value of the Kasper, Morgan, Vardy backbone to that team we had for years. They'll always Soumare and Faes types who either don't care enough or just simply play for themselves. Every team has a few. The difference is now our squad is full of them with not enough leaders, identity or a core who are Leicester. They'll mostly be off next year anyway so who cares. PSR is kind of making this the case now for a lot of clubs. If you have to sell your only local players to makes ends meet then what identity are you left with? It'll just be a revolving door of nothingness now.
