  1. Said at the team announcement that Souttar should be first reserve for Faes. Still think that now.
  2. Not so sure. I've felt Souttar has been an excellent stand in for Faes. Barely perceptible difference. But, I'm always a guy who leans towards better the devil you know
  3. Strange innit. Our lot, bluepilled and Covid booster jabbed to within an inch of their lives, would still trot out the work/school-in-the-morning / I-live-a-34- hour-drive-away. Reckon Bill Gates must've been bashing his 'leave now' button on 86 mins last night and bemused it didn't work like normal.
  4. Yup, obvs they are different players, Wilf has far more to his game, as he should, he's at his peak - but I liked seeing Casadei driving 30m-40m up the pitch with some very strong direct running
  5. Big blow about Wilf. I mean we can't complain, tens of millions sitting on the bench...but even so, an elite player down
  6. I find it unlikely they will dissolve themselves to avoid paying
  7. Agree, but it all starts with a claim. Lost TV money, lost shirt sponsorship, lost other commercial revenues, devaluation of Barnes and Madders. It'll be a good two or three years as you say to reach a compromise, but 40m+ would do nicely you'd think
  8. So, if the PL recommendation is taken on by the independent committee, we use the arses off them for lost revenue, right? Open and shut case.
  9. I have missed feelings on the tactical pulls to prevent breakaways. I despise Man City doing it and felt refs should've pre warned them prior to games that they wouldn't hesitate to book or send off. That said the feeble, weak, meek gamesmanship from a Rodgers team appalled me too
  10. I can't read your entire post, as I have work to do (and can't devote half a day to it) But indeed, fine margins eh? Had Cov gone 2 ahead as they should've, had Cardiff held on for 19 more seconds, had Macateer not produced an out of the blue finish at Rotherham ...we'd have had 2 points from three games, crowd restless with this bizarre new system etc etc Lots about football - and in life - is about maxing out your luck
  11. What an absolute waste of oxygen both Sheffield clubs are. Always have been (since about 1829 anyway)
  12. Thought the extended round of applause from the east stand he got last night was a lovely moment. He's not had the best time. He seems a nice lad. He scored a few decent goals for us. He's been isolated for reasons unknown. I thought his warm welcome was a nice touch.
  13. Been Swansea twice in the PL and both times thought it was fantastic. Feels so much more than a 20k stadium In fact l, Swansea is a tremendous,.safe night out..pissheads everywhere from.18-80 but the old hands keep it all under control as they all know each other
  14. Some great doubles there. Vetch Field / Liberty a great one.. Nobody done Ninian Park? Me neither.. Not City away but I've done Northampton County Ground / Sixfields Following city, I've done The Dell / St Mary's
  15. Nothing to do with that. And I'm hardly 'supporter of the year' I prefer watching is on the telly tbh...but when there, it's about solidarity...even if it's a bit personally inconvenient at times. It's about choosing to watch or choosing to be part of it. These dunderheads are watchers. Footballing peeping toms. Curtain twitchers. It's the behaviour of the lily livered.
  16. It's the weakest of weak arguments. The exact same people leave at the exact same minute every single game, regardless of day or kick off time. The people I see who leave appear to be feeble souls. Meek, selfish, frightened, timid people.who see leaving early as a 'little win'...what kind of existence is that? 😂
  17. The Union FS singing section is anything but ,'Green Street' 😂😂
  18. Nothing, absolutely nothing, is more important in life than getting home at 10.45pm instead of 11.05pm
  19. Sunderland played better and were absolutely committed to the manager's plans. But our players are just too fit, too fast, too strong
  20. We had three world class players, who would've made the starting xi for any team in the world that season. Barca, Bayern, Real, Man City etc Not having a dig, but Ollie Watkins and Douglas Luiz and John McGinn wouldn't
  21. Very noticeable. Though if that's to be a permanent feature, kels is better at dong that Agree. Tho that may have been helped by Swansea. We repeatedly had space in midfield for once, rather than 11 men ahead of them He has at least one a game and)or gets robbed in midfield at least once per game. I'm still yet to be convinced of his role and still wonder if Hamza might actually play it better
  22. That Hull game is gonna p1ss me off all season. Everybody, absolutely everybody, was gearing up for between 8-11mins of added time (i wouldn't have expected it, but had all the time wasting been added, there'd have been 18 mins of stoppage time) . When 3 was held up, we lost a minute in disbelief. I'd like to think we'd have scrambled an equaliser had we the full allotted second half minutes
  23. Also not as many fans as it seems. The whole family goes down, artificially swelling the support. Grandma..Mam. Dad. 3 teenage kids. 2 babies. And a random fella who lives on their sofa.
