  1. Anyone doing this? Or done it? Having jacked my corporate job in last year and trying to establish myself as a freelance, I've pretty much got carte blanche. I'm a little old - and a bit too conventional - for the Bali / Da Nang / Change Mai trodden path Wondered if anyone on here works and travels and,.if so, what your experiences, suggestions, tips might be.... Personally,.I'm looking at doing 2 months at a time working away,.maybe three times a year. So visas aren't a problem
  2. Calm down love. I was expressing an opinion. Never claimed it to be correct. I mean, obvs I think it's correct, but have the capacity to understand he (and you and others) don't. It's kinda how things work.
  3. It's an odd reply matey. What's pleat's excellent opening 6 months got to do with anything? Secondly, nothing is a 'have to do'. The question of what has to be done is an individual choice. You've already answered it. You prefer not to interrupt the craic with your mates. And we 'might' win, taking us from 13th to 11th. I think it's a bit short sighted and, even a bit selfish. I guess you don't. C'est la vie.
  4. I don't think it matters if sky see it or not. Or if KP lie about the attendance. Those there will know. The players and manager and club staff will know. .This I'm afraid is the problem with so many City fans. They can't see past the next result. It's not new. I think a sizeable portion have always been like that. Im old enough to remember the Pleat protests. It was the same then. At the risk of sounding incredibly patronising, as I often tell my kids,. sometimes in life you gotta do things that you just don't want to do.
  5. Gotta feel for the lad. Horribly out of his depth. Embarrassing for us and for him.
  6. Another thing down to the manager. It was obvious to anyone with half a brain he wouldn't be able to play an energetic full back anymore. He needed a new role at the base of midfield. Winks type thing. Limit his running. Hide his defects. Oh, and another thing, his selection as captain was another weak decision form the manager. Ricky bless him isn't in any way a leader of men.
  7. End of January might work nicely timewise to ramp up pressure on the club. The current Trust regime would take weeks working on the wording of a.members' survey, then months to evaluate the results, then need an EGM to write carefully worded polite letter to the club that's binned inside 3 milliseconds. A new, muscular,. conscientious,.media savvy and proactive Trust will embarrass the club into action and accountability
  8. Mate, don't over complicate with an 'it'd be better if....' West Brom is a boycott..Simple as. Organise yourself a walk out / protest / banners another day,.another game. For this,.just skip it. Nice and easy.
  9. He's far worse than Ward. Though as you say, not as obvious. Ward could collect crosses to a very decent professional level. And was actually Ok (enough) with the ball at his feet. Means he had two facets to his game.
  10. 2 days into 2026 and we have a contender for the worst post already! 😅
  11. That's a well trotted out line - but unlikely to be correct. Whilst Luke Thomas was being humiliated at Sheffield United and Middlesbrough, VK was qualifying for the Champions League at Bologna (or whoever it was in Italy) We can argue about subjective views on his ability all day, but factually VK is taller, quicker, stronger. For those attributes alone, he's way above Luke.
  12. He didn't. It's a myth. That debut game against spurs when he played due to an injury crisis he looked exactly as it was; a literal boy from the youth team who was given a free hit - and he survived. Probably adrenaline alone. Some of us had major concerns about him right from the outset.
  13. But predictable. If anyone cared to look beyond his goals, he contributes the same every game.. Weak, anonymous, slow.
  14. Very realistic and if correct, we might soon be able to open negotiations to end the situation now. That's assuming club know how to open negotiations.
  15. You're right, but it's just the basic dumbness of thinking a boycott works by somebody attending in your place. All because they want 20 quid for a takeaway. The average IQ in the stands is off the scale
  16. Resale? Ffs. Sums our fans up. So fcking thick.
  17. That was a colossal improvement on BdcR tho,.right?
  18. Apart from the Salah game, his best performances have been a 6/10. On his 160 performances for us,.I reckon he's logged 5 games at 6/10 (and above for the Salah game) Probs bagged 30 odd at 5/10. An easy 40 at 4/10. Another 40 at 3/10. The remaining 45 at 2 or worse.
  19. Dunno why people are digging him out. Him and Nelson are a perfectly serviceable centre half partnership for a half decent coach. The defensive issues are down to the manager fielding players and formation that leave us short all over the pitch. Ayew and BdcR not fit enough to lead a press. JJ and Skipp overrun in midfield because of it. Full backs not fit or fast enough to overlap. Lightweight players in Like Thomas and BdcR and Ricky unable to stand up to a physical challenge.
  20. It's the frog in a hot pan syndrome isn't it?
  21. This is a terrible take. We only need to field a professional footballer - out of position - and they'd fare better. Because Thomas isn't professional level; speed, stamina, positioning, touch, dark arts, heading. Whatever. Ricky..Hamza. Faes. Okoli..Skipp. Abdul. Ayew. They'd all be better options. I'd probably go as far to say that ANY player, outside of BdcR, would be an improvement at left back.
  22. First name on the team sheet. The manager has been banging on how marvelous he is the minute he walked through the door. At first I thought it was pity. Then I thought it was satire. It appears, in fact, he meant it.
  23. Not just this evidence. There's about 150 prior games of evidence
  24. At least the Dutchman used to lose games on purpose! This guy is actually trying!
  25. He's basically the Luke Thomas of management
