  1. There'd be equal players in Sunday morning football.
  2. I've never seen a luckier footballer. He played that debut at Spurs as we had the usual injury crisis and Rodgers literally had nobody else to select. For the next two seasons we had similar injury fiascos which got him the odd game and European campaigns where we needed a home grown quota.
  3. The difference Page is making, just by being able to keep up with play.
  4. Exactly. The only difference was he played in a good side.
  5. 100..Unbelievable that people cannot see this.
  6. He's been hooked off by a manager who prefers Luke Thomas and BdcR. Who froze out Ben Nelson. Who plays no tactics other than hoping for the best. Hardly an endorsement.
  7. Talk about missing the point. We have Bob Reid doing zilch leaving Skipp and JJ overrun and as the previous poster says, most of Skipp (and Nelson's) workload is doing Luke Thomas's job for him.
  8. Every single team targets him
  9. Manager's fault. We all know he's a parks player.
  10. No sane manager would ever have the lad in a squad, let alone a team.. He just grimly tries to survive each game and avoid humiliation. You can see it in his body language. Exactly what any fit, competent Sunday league parks 24 year old would do. Just hang in there.
  11. This is the standard BdcR when you take out his goals 98% passenger and the 2% involved he gets robbed in midfield. Atrocious.
  12. Baffling. I cannot comprehend how Derby could beat anyone.
  13. Luke first name on the team sheet fcking Thomas
  14. Bit of end of 2025 NYE mixed emotions and I land on this from genesis - what a classic piece to sum up the mood
  15. Crowe was a bit too avuncular a bit too likeable. Didn't quite capture the intellect and political menace. The Brian Cox performance, early 2000s, balanced it better
  16. Correct. But even if we have the wage bill (unlikely) where's the money coming from? We've spent the parachute money. They need the cash desperately. No sales = no cash for running costs. They can't even afford to pay stewards' food vouchers FFS.
  17. This reinforces my view that we (LCFC) are facing an existential threat. Every possible sellable player is up for sale until we raise enough funds to cover the wage bill and running costs for 2026. And likely again for 2027. And at that point, we'll have an ever diminishing pool of sellable assets. .
  18. Exactly my thoughts too. KP, Rudkin, Whelan and now the call centre team leader replacing her don't operate under normal business rules. But, raising 40m this summer via JJ, Nelson, Monga, Stolarcyk and Fatawu is essential but also delaying the inevitable. We will need to do the same firesale again in 2027, and 2028 just to keep afloat and at that point, there'll be no assets left to cash in.
  19. The sale financing the deal will be JJ himself.. We will activate the clause in January and sell in June/July
  20. The absolute state of league one Derby. That said, they are probably paying their players 300 notes a week.
  21. A poor man's Daka, but like Daka, something quite likeable about him
  22. Good player. But his time here is cursed. The football gods have decided that he doesn't belong here. I hope he recovers, gets himself right and gets a fair wind elsewhere
  23. I've likened more than once the KP brigade to David Koresh's Branch Davidians at Waco. Sandal wearing Jesus freaks who took on, and beat, US special forces. Never underestimate cult members!
  24. Four hours or so until we see Luke Thomas in the team and the mind numbing 4231, meaning any remaining interest that was in me evaporates at a speed roughly equivalent to twice the speed of light.
