  1. I do hope so. Luke is probably a slightly better defender (when not in a one on one situation, at which times opponents just breeze past him) But VK, at this level, brings the necessary energy and physicality. Plus, personally I'm keen to see what the lad can do when not playing in a car crash of a team. Confidence can do amazing things.
  2. Yeah, sad.. I think the German authorities have done as much as they can to try and get this guy bang to rights and remain locked up. He is, quite literally, a danger to society.
  3. He's the sort of guy who seems hard to like, but at the same time lots to like about him. No, doesn't make much sense to me either.. I try to view some players through the lens of the opponent. If he lined up against us for, say, Watford or Middlesbrough, he'd be an absolute pain in the arse and cause problems for us all game long.
  4. Tbh with that bench, it'd be difficult not to positively change games. Monga, Winks, Faes, Ricky have all directly contributed goals and/or points coming off the bench. Which isn't a surprise, as all of them are light years ahead of 98% of this division
  5. Watched that Amazon thing over summer and found him extremely meek and underwhelming..Obvs the news was all about Rooney being insulted by Brady. But Davies seemed (even allowing for positive editing to fit the narrative) totally in awe of the job, even at league one level
  6. Hamza absolutely has to play. Shouldn't be an either/or with Ricky. Both need to be accommodated
  7. Be interested to hear @StriderHiryu thoughts on if we might have to adapt our style to be less reliant on the wingers? Despite the wide men being on paper our strongest area, every opponent so far has seemed to cope fairly well. Stephy and Abdul are more effective out wide when on the break. Seems to be nullified when we have the ball. Could we pack midfield more and play two/three of Abdul Stephy Daka Ayew Monga Carranza much narrower and pick teams apart?
  8. So much for my post a couple of weeks back asking us all to cut the lad some slack.
  9. Do us a favour. We are second (and probs end of day top 6) and we haven't even remotely got going yet. Barely into second gear. If we click - and I think a click is inevitable at some point - we could take the division apart
  10. The bench could potentially get promotion on its own, adding Nelson, VK, Aluko, Page to those names and removing BdcR
  11. Hamza has been excellent. And I like his vibe. The argument should be around Ricky replacing LT at left back. Hamza at RB is one of the first names on teamsheet for me.
  12. Let's see if Bob has learnt how to kick a ball Has put on six stone in bulk Can run a 100m sub 20 seconds Can do more then just run around a bit and watch faster, stronger, taller players glide (or even walk) past him
  13. It must've been some kind of macabre skit. Footlights stuff, selling out at the fringe.
  14. Just had MasterChef on. Have they AI voice dubbed Wallace and Torode? The audio doesn't follow their lips at all.. On a wider note, Wallace really isn't well. I've been following him on Insta, desperately trying to pretend he's fine.
  15. Always been the same with them lot. Whatever they do, it's the right decision. 25 years being shit? All part of the masterplan. Their faith is unshakeable. On another note, who knew Nuno was categorised as a black manager? I didn't. I swear his skin colour has never once, not even slightly, subconsciously or curiously, crossed my mind.
  16. Was scrolling this thread for the first time and thought exactly same. He was a top class footballer. And wasn't a kante role. He was a Cambiasso, except fit. His build gave myth to the fact he wasn't particularly fit or quick. Great engine. Read the game like a book. Shuttled about all match to be continually available to his colleagues to receive the ball under pressure. Muzz and Lennon. Basically our Lennon and McCartney!
  17. I try to be rational in my hatred for them, but they've had an extraordinary run of luck for a while.. A fortunate play off win (which can happen, it's 50/50 after all). Then all sorts of crash bang wallop goals under Cooper after being largely outplayed in most games. Then a four point deduction coinciding with a woeful promoted three. Even we'd have stayed up. Then, last season, fsirnokay they were decent before fluffing Europe. Lo and behold, they are the beneficiary of the first ever European tournament 'swap' with Palace.. I guess after 25 years of being utter garbage the luck condenses itself into three seasons
  18. Exactly my take. I went for my first booze in ages a few weeks ago with a mate from out of town. I'd kinda dreaded it. However, there was something rather unfiltered, unapologetic about the place. London Road for eats, new walk, a rough & ready Granby street, town hall square, St Martin's bars, spoons on high street for some 'real Leicester' characters, back to New Walk. Throw in Curve area. I've seen many worse cities. It looked surprisingly ok.
  19. How on earth have I only just heard this?. I've had to listen to it 20 times and more this last week. A stone cold minor classic
  20. Although Taylor was the worst by a distance, he at least tried The Dutchman firstly wasn't a professional manager. Taylor was. Additionally, the Dutchman attempted absolutely nothing to arrest the slide. Either through inability or through spite. Either way, whichever version you choose (one has to be true), he's a disgrace. Taylor was simply a fool totally out of his depth
  21. That's possibly the worst take I've ever heard. In football. Not just City
  22. The Howard home game v Leeds. Was in Spain for Easter. Was very lumpy and nervy about the game. Saw a couple of chalkboards outside bars and just thought it was a 5.30 type kick off. Went to the bar and MK Dons were down to be playing on the screens (dunno why no PL games or championship were on) and only then looked at phone to see we'd won
  23. Eric 'Smig'. Sounds like a school caretaker.
  24. He's laughably top notch for this level. His difference was instant. Literally within seconds of coming on the pitch. He's gotta go for his own sake. But as I've said repeatedly on this thread, he's just about our best player. and this nonsense about his attitude. I've never seen ANYTHING to suggest he has a bad attitude.
