New defence team claiming expert witness has changed ages his mind.. This is a story never going away.. I wonder if there will eventually be some kind of quiet compromise and she ends up doing 15-20 years and then being released on appeal. The legal system almost hedging its bets. I don't think anyone can ever confidently work out what's gone on here.

Is pedigree petfoods in Melton still going? And Mcvities and Jacobs Crackers in ashby?
-
I'm guessing that was connected with the wonderful old Marconi site on scudamore road.

I remember doing my bit for Ward in a boozer watching the Qatar world cup when he came on as sub. Getting him a cheer as he came on (and meaning it, he was one of our lads, as you rightly say) Two minutes and two goals later Wales dreams were over.

Because, ruud's agent got in touch and presumably this guy's didn't. We only appoint manager's who approach us. The exception to the rule was Pearson from Hull. Who of all people, Birch was involved in recruiting him. Says it all. -

The thought had crossed my mind too. But then Iversen was on the bench for the league cup games. Which suggests he is available for selection. Also, the manager needs only play a straight bat 'Daniel isn't currently available for selection' if he's being prevented by the board from playing him. -
Love their stuff and love the factory is a proper old Aylestone hosiery building

Are Triumph motorbikes still made at Hinckley? Gone but not forgotten; Sketchley dry Cleaners Wilko's Premier Drum Imperial Typewriters Edit to add the old Thorn Lighting site on Melton road and fox's glacier mints 🥲

I'm worried that this Dawson is still around. His catastrophic experiment at Brentford showed up that he isn't cut out for this. Any normal coach who's seen Ward in training would've immediately warned Ruud it's a no-no.
-
Yup, on the face of it my comment seems absurd and childish. But it's deeper than Ward . Firstly we'll lose with him in goal. And probably heavily. But the real point is two fold. 1. To painfully watch a new coaching set up learn what we as amateurs already know. I don't want to watch Ruud learning on the job. He's paid to know more than us armchair pundits. No matter how little time he's been here. 2. That the club is in such a mess and so badly run that the lad is even still here. We all had to watch an agonising 26 games where his selection alone got us relegated ....I just cannot accept that he's still here two years later doing the same. The Top / Whelan / Rudkin axis is as bad as is possible to be. I just can't support such a visible symbol of their incompetence.
-
Yup, worth highlighting that comment. We should all never confuse being rubbish at football with being a nice guy. That's why, even tho I slaughter the guy on here, never resort to personal insults. From what little I've heard of him speak, I agree, he comes across as a really decent fella.
-
I like him but 25m was a joke. Same as spunking 5m on a little boy for the u/23s. And 10m on Cannon last year These people - Rudkin etc - wouldn't last 5 mins in the business world.
-
Haha ...for my own benefit/sanity!
-
I'll never watch a competitive (ie anything other than early round league cup) game again where he represents us. Live or on telly. Said it after relegation, I meant it and still mean it.
-
Err, JJ, VK and Vesty have all surely had the 'pleasure' ...Faes too

A well run, functional business would've pulled Danny in at the end of relegation and told that we'll honour his contract but his registration will be released and he's free to find another club. There's no need to embarrass him and make that public. Him and his agent would be free to negotiate a deal elsewhere without needing to find the money he is due. Likewise when Enzo purged the remaining coaching staff, leaving the club at the mercy of Enzo men, a well run club would've kept the coaches on in another capacity. Thick as pigshite down there

Football gods I'm afraid will throw wolves a bone with an injury time winner. They always do. Arsenal did us last minute. Following week the gods gave us Southampton.. Bournemouth fcked Ipswich last kick of the game last week, gods give them a gift at wolves..

We could get away with Iversen for the wolves man city and Liverpool games...and then hopefully mads is back or at very least Stolarcyk is ready Repeating the earlier point, the Sadler , stowell thing was yet another example of club admin boneheadedness....ok, Enzo didnt wants the lads but the club could've really tried to keep them and create a role. Maybe Sadler for example could've been seconded to work/coach/manage in another league, MLS for example. UEFA. Whatever. There's so little imagination down there it's unreal -

I agree that was probs the decision making process. Thems the details tho. A manager is paid helluva lot of money to know (find out) these things. Off on a tangent, bit it was one of the tragedies of Enzo (and the club) jettisoning Sadler and Stowell.. discussed this in a thread the other day. You need some long standing steady Eddie's at the club who can provide wise counsel and a frank commentary on what's what at a club. -

But Iversen is. A perfectly respectable championship level GK -

Because no decent manager would have Ward anywhere near a 25 man squad, let alone the bench.. Enzo demoted Ward to effectively be the GK coach and warm up assistant. That was his job last year. -
He doesn't tho. Two seasons ago I watched him closely exactly for things like that. He can't even set a wall up properly. He doesn't know what to cover. When mads arrived, it was marked how precise his is, squatting/leaning/squinting to get maximum angles covered. Ward sticks 4 fingers up,.left a bit, right a bit, that'll do.

Wasn't convinced when he was appointed and nothing - not even the 4 points - has convinced me since. We have a real raw deal with injuries at the moment. A decent manager then had to work around that. We were set up for a heavy defeat yesterday. A midfield stripped of its best players and he simply went like like with inferior replacements..it was a feeble,. unimaginative decision....it was clear to mug punters like us the midfield needed to be beefed up. Other red flags; *Coady wasn't good enough to make a championship bench half the time. *Ward on the bench. Watching him for 3/4 minutes in training allowing every shot in (anyone ever seen the training videos? And those are ward highlights!) ...should be enough for a manager *Vardy can't lead a line in a defensive set up. Never has. Plus he wasnt a regular starter last season, nor even relegation season. Now two years older and a level higher he's an ever present. * Not playing Buonnotte..i mean wtf?! *First two games not playing Mavididi. Again, wtf?! He got the job because top, Whelan and Rudkin don't know how to recruit a manager. They await an agency sending over a CV and go from there. -
I agree we could've been far more imaginative and found players if equal or better for far far less. But.... I kinda like him. Just yet another in a long long line who's been signed and then not played correctly. Like Soumare, he can operate in a three but not a two. Yesterday was mind numbingly obvious prior to the game we needed to pack midfield. We didn't - and paid the price. Doesn't matter if it was winks and Wilf, Soumare and Skipp, Hamza and Winks.... yesterday was always going to be too much for two in the middle.

It's like Liz Truss leading the Tories again. The whole situation is agonising to witness
