Just so mentally weak.

I understand teams can be inconsistent. But I don't think I've ever seen anything like this. We're literally capable of shipping 3 (now 4) goals one half. Then scoring a bunch in another half.

The next sentence in my post was literally agreeing about what you posted saying that. Big foreign business doesn't care about their employees. But they do care about PR. Especially receiving bad PR when it's entirely avoidable - their owner had to come out a few weeks ago to calm his customers because they're turning on him. Even the usual KPFC cheerleaders can't defend this. It's such an unnecessary public own goal.

Something like this is the only other thing that sort of makes sense if it's not an error. Cause they gained nothing from doing this. Especially the way they did it. They're only really paying their staff 5 working days later so I doubt it's cashflow. I can sort of understand aligning payroll dates, but you have to give people enough notice. It does scream how badly King Power is run as a company. Some clueless clown in Thailand has made a decision not fully understanding the ramifications. Then if people have complained, they weren't important enough to be listened to. I genuinely don't think this happens if Susan Whelan is still in place. This is what happens in badly run companies: the people who speak up slowly start to leave and are replaced by weaker employees or sycophants. As someone else said foreign companies treat their employees very differently. You're just seen as a replaceable number. Especially if you're low down on the rung.

If that's true it really is bad on a lot of people. Especially the person who made the decision. Most people's wages in the UK are paid by BACS (over 90%). It's cheap but slow. You have to fill in two dates when you create/send a BACS file. A process date and payment date. It's like 3 working days including the day you submit the file. Even if people disagreed with the decision and tried to stop it. They'll have known days ago people were not going to be paid today. There's no reason to wait till the very last minute if it isn't human error. If anything like this happened where I used to work and people incurred charges from their banks for something that was our fault we would pay it. Or issue Faster Payments to correct it.

I agree, but the way they communicate nothing surprises me. This was just the first thing that came to my mind - it probably didn't happen. I just don't understand given how unhappy the fan base are with them why they'd do this on purpose knowing it would hit the media. Everyone is still going to be annoyed, but they'd be less annoyed with more notice. But let's just say this did happen. Technically they could recall the BACS transfer and correct it - it would be possible. But it's highly irregular and not easy after the process has started. They'd have to pay fines/costs/admin fees to the different banks. Which they wouldn't want to do. So that could be why they wouldn't admit it. And I guarantee you if they made that offer to all staff, then almost everybody would claim financial hardship and ask for their money around xmas.

I'm not a KP defender at all but I am someone who once worked in a payroll department. This could just be an admin error and nothing more sinister. Payroll software can be complicated. I used to work for a company that payrolled over 100 different payrolls a month and I saw a situation worse than this. Someone will have had to go in and manually change the pay dates on the system. If you forget it's a special month it can be easy to miss as it's rare, but there should be controls in place to prevent it. Where I worked two people missed that it was set to a bank holiday and so did the supervisor who authorised it. All the paperwork had the correct dates. But on the system it was still set to the last weekday of the month which happened to be a bank holiday. If someone has run the payroll and submitted the BACS Transfer with the incorrect date it's not so easy to recall it without paying costs - it's probably thousands of individual payments that have gone in bulk. It's so poor to just give people a days notice at this time of year. As shambolically run as we are I just don't understand why they'd do that if this was planned. But then nothing would surprise me with these clowns.

They were bleaker back then. There was literally no hope. We have players like Skipp and James in midfield. Back then it was Gavin Williams and Stephen Hughes. I think Andy Johnson might have been around at time. I think some people forget how truly bad we were back then.

Still remember being there when Gudjonsson scored that goal not quite believing what I'd just seen. Fatawu just gave some people a great memory - his goal was better. Always remember when Gudjonson went to Burnley after AZ because we couldn't afford the £150,000 transfer fee - and he wanted to come back here. God how times changed. Those days were bleak.

Maybe it's not ideal, but if the contract is favourable for 6 months it could work well for both parties. Especially if we have no transfer funds. Our strikers are beyond bad. This guy can't be any worse. In 20 games they've got like 4 goals between them (even less excluding penalties). I don't see how he can be any worse. I've totally given up on Daka now. At the very least he's physical, can hold the ball up and head it. He might have struggled to get into the West Ham team in the Premier League. But we're a mid table championship team with League one strikers. It can't do any harm.

Daka is so frustrating in this situation. He can stretch defences and presses well. But as soon as you pass the ball to him 9 times out of 10 it goes back to the opposition. His ball control and passing really is bad for a £20 million player.

One thing I like about Skipp is he covers his full backs. If they go up for throw ins, corners, or are just out of position for any reason. He'll fill in. It's a small thing but it makes such a difference.

It's crazy watching this guy in the Championship at age 29 and remembering he managed to get 10 caps for England. He never stands out and most of the time looks overmatched at this level. Sort of shows how players can be carried by other players or specific tactical systems.

Really impressed with the central midfield. Skipp has really impressed me. Getting stuck in, covering for defenders if they go forward, and passing the ball forwards. Winks does nothing like that. James pushes the game forwards, gives everything and gets in the box at the right times. They complement each other well. Made such a difference to the team. Just bin Winks off now. Skipp's clearly a confidence player. I've been so impressed with him the last few games. I really didn't think he had this in him.

Don't know much about Silko Thomas but I can understand from watching this why he gets brought on if we're defending a lead.

I can sort of see why he's keeping Ayew on. If you pass him the ball he tends to keep it. He's slower than Daka and doesn't press as well which is fair. But Daka doesn't keep the ball. If you pass it to him it tends to end up at the opposition quite quickly. Don't actually mind the Hamza sub. It's negative. But we've been on a bad run of games and probably have a lack of confidence.

We actually look like a team today. Not a dysfunctionally assembled bunch of 11. It's so nice to see.

I've run in Saucony Speed 3 and 5 with a nylon plate and Nike Zoom Fly 6 with a carbon plate. I can run a half marathon in the Saucony's and their nylon plate and at the end of it my forefoot will sometimes be a slightly sore but nothing too bad. But I have to be careful with carbon plates. Zoom Fly 6's were said to be good long run shoes/baby alphaflys by the youtube reviewers. I find after 13km I've bottomed out the foam and it's painful. After 15km I'm just basically running on the metal plate and it's impossible to carry on. But I have set my 5 and 10k pbs in them and they were fine for that. My heart rate is lower for what feels like the same amount of energy. It's weird, I don't feel like I'm going that fast then I look at my watch and I'm flying. I just have to remember I'm 13st not 10-11st like the online reviewers and everyone has different running mechanics and what works for one person won't for another.

He's the least of our problems. Wingers are always inconsistent and go through patches of form. We're so bad going forward the opposition know our wingers are our main threat. They get doubled up on and their passing lanes are shut down. He's still young (he's the same age as Ben Nelson) and coming back from a year out injured.

No. We were lucky how it turned out last time. Also worth remembering even though we were relegated we still had one of the best defensive records in the league. We only had a -3 goal difference. We still had team spirit and organisation. We just couldn't score.

I forgot he'd gone there. Yeah ignore me. I thought he was still unemployed.

One person I can see them going for is Potter. They've courted him before and he's turned us down. We're in such a poor place that if he wants to bring in his recruitment people he might actually get his wish. But given where he is in his career he'll probably turn us down. He's in last chance saloon and I doubt we could afford him. Unless we sell it as a project and give him lots of power and give him a chance to rebuild his reputation. Which I'm not sure is a good idea. But he's at a point in his career where he might take a chance on us if its a project based thing. This is on the border of realistic and unrealistic.

To be honest when I wrote it I was looking at it more from a: I like Andy King and don't want him saddled with this lot. And don't want his reputation tarnished. The only way this squad will work is if the 'hard man' actually has enough authority to put people in a bomb squad and banish them. I think now we are reaching the point where everyone is starting to realise that it's the only way forward and it's pointless carrying on with the likes of Faes and Winks. Even the most delusional players can see how bad they are in the Championship.
