Very true, but we’ve probably found our level now and if he continues to play the kids they’ll grow together. My only disappointment is not including young Hutchinson, l he let’s face it, if we were still in the premier we’d be loaning him to someone in this league!

Yes they were, but Martin and someone on Radio Leicester said they’ll be up there at the end, if that’s true it auger’s well , because that was a good fast moving display in the main and if the final third was slightly more polished we’d have won easily. I hate tippy tappy, but that performance was not that. Page superb, Braybrooke excellent, both fullbacks and centre backs decent , Bristric good back to goal and improved. Both wingers poor I thought and Alves and the Brighton kid looked much better. I can’t believe that MK are going to be any good but if they are then we’ll win plenty this season. Still need another striker though.

I will say this in his defence, he has never had a run of games at the base of our midfield that I can recall, and looking at his performance on Saturday he may have found a level to help what I hope will be a young midfield with Braybrooke and Page. Give him ten games.

We can’t counter attack with this squad, the kids are brought up with sideways and back and most importantly, we have absolutely zero pace in the team. I watched Fulham last night (even Fulham!) and they scared me to death with their pace. We can’t live with that. As for counter attacking football, it would only work in the Premier when teams come at you. In this league we have to mix it up.

I can’t believe Cullen, to date our new invisible man replacing BDR, is getting a game in front of Page. I hope, if we start to get control of games ( can’t see it happening though) Cullen may pop up edge of the box and do something, but to date all I’ve seen of him is him having it took off him, he’s not got a pass or shot away yet in both games! Page did more in ten minutes.

The biggest worry for me is that County didn’t look any different to a Charlton or a Stoke for instance last season. These teams are all fit and quick and once out of the Premier the main difference is chances being taken? Stoke or Charlton etc would’ve scored 2 maybe, Brighton 5 in the Premier? Seeing Skipp, BDR having the ball nicked off them because they’re not quick enough is a big concern, particularly when Martin says we need a couple of old heads/ experienced players!

Can’t lie having watched the game, I’m feeling quite down about the season, we gave away more chances than we created, on a better day they could’ve had 4 or 5, and us 3 maybe at a push.
