First half, plenty of bodies up the pitch, Thomas barely in his own half doing what he’s better at, not defending. Ricardo in midfield too, moving the ball quick and forwards. Second half, neither fullback got forward at anytime, couldn’t defend, never stopped a cross all half. Winks became anonymous too.If it’s on the players, I’d like to have seen Kingy bawling at them to push up the pitch but saw nothing.

Yes that set piece coach is worth his weight in gold. I’ve got an idea, in pre match meeting allocate a player to mark an opponent man for man, that way you won’t see Luke Thomas up against a central defender (as has happened). If they score it’s his fault. Set piece coach wages saved. And whilst we’re at it, leave Fatawu and Mavs on the halfway line to empty the box a bit.

In this league a25 year old King would do all the ugly midfield stuff that goes unnoticed but still get in the box and score as many as BDR, and as many as Winks and Skipp will score in 4 seasons.

I thought that, with 11 on the pitch we showed a marked difference in getting bodies up the pitch both in possession and pressing , that’s on King. So frustrating that the invisible man that is BDR had a moment of madness.

We continue to play a non existent 10 instead of two 8’s to help out the easily marked wingers. This Man City kid better be good because these brain washed coaches ain’t changing.

My belief though is that the coach doesn’t have anything like as much say as they used to, which when their job is on the line ( not our almost redundant recruitment team) is poor, and we’re getting worse because of it and our indoctrinated style of play, if you can call it that.

Playing a number 10 and not two number 8’s to support the wingers was and still is scandalous.

One thing Winks would be raging about and maybe upsetting the harmony is the fact that none of the last three managers set up like Enzo which was scandalous considering we won the league that way. We should have at least started last season playing that way. I’m guessing he niggled on about it and quickly ( but wrongly) lost heart and interest. I’m not condoning him nor do I like tippy tappy, the sooner 4-4-2 comes back in vogue the better, but it may be a thought.

Yes and Marcel, Monga, and Silko, would be equally effective/ ineffective. Apart from a couple of worldies his overall game has been poor.
