  1. We’re turning our noses up on an England left back!!! Come on lads, if he’s asked to bomb on like Chelsea originally asked of him he’d be a great addition, if we ask him like Rodgers to turn back and give it the centre halves and keeper then no. I do believe though that Cooper would have him bomb on.
  2. Would be a great signing, like many home grown players, never given a chance. That’s if he was home grown? But good enough for our midfield.
  3. I know, they cost to much and the badges are stick on, go retro!
  4. Well it’s not a balanced team imo, particularly with inverted wingers. I didn’t rate Kristiansen actually but have warmed to him having seen him many times in the Italian league. If Cooper wants proper full backs then he’s as good as we’ll get.
  5. But Justin is not a left back! And just like Trippier in the Euros hampered us last season by coming inside on his right foot constantly. He is however a good right back and who knows how long Ricardo can stay fit?
  6. Ha, we had hundreds of negative quotes for Enzo ball last year too. All I will do is see how he sets us up, how we do and judge on Leicester performances not Florists, that’s all I’m saying. There’s plenty of cases of perceived failures doing well with a different set of players. Claudio for one! I get behind whoever’s in charge at least for a season.
  7. As we sit here now I agree, but in 2015 we signed N’golo and it all changed. Two signings in the pipeline who knows what they bring? We have witnessed the unbelievable in the past is all I’m saying. And Claudio was a rigid 442 man in the main not a great tactiition necessarily.
  8. Did we think that in August 2015, I think not.
  9. Attack with pace.
  10. Neither happy or unhappy. I remember me and a few mates during the end of Rodgers tenure saying we’d take Cooper in a heartbeat! He is a good coach with more strings to his bow than the intransigent Maresca, though with the make up of our squad wouldn’t be a bit surprising to see him set up to play the Enzo way….. then we’ll see if we can do it at this level.
  11. He’s twice the player he was when here. Scored some very important goals last year. And as a plan B would be a solid signing. Forest however won’t be selling someone so important to them last year.
  12. I thought The United Review was the programme.😜
  13. Little Iceland beat us last week ( and it could’ve been by more) playing direct diags to 3 fast forwards. It still works with the right players, in our title year we had full backs who could tuck in and tackle , wingers who made opposition full backs run backwards Vardy’s goals and Shinji’s selfless grafting. It can still work.
  14. Surely though you liken Cooper at Forest, certainly the first premier season, with Nigel’s great escape season?? We are now back to that and we will, as they did lose many games. His style of play though May suit us at a higher level than trying to pass through quality teams and full backs leaving their post and leaving huge holes?
  15. And you can’t deny Forest under Cooper played quick aggressive football, like a poor man’s Liverpool if you like, hell for leather 4-3-3. They simply ran over the top of us in the cup and their home league game, though we hammered them at the KP.
  16. Good job at Everton too. With little to spend at times. Upset the apple cart a few times against the big boys, something we used to do prePuel , Rodgers et al.
  17. All true, except wait, what? Castagne????
  18. I reckon a good 80% of the fan base regulars too feel this way mate.
  19. Now that era was the worst, team wise, that I have ever seen! He just signed his mates from Arsenal who were more finished than him! Little George Armstrong on the wing looked older than me now, and I’ve just turned 65! Check out some old pictures if you don’t believe me!
  20. When Megson went I couldn’t believe our luck, and I feel slightly the same again. Thanks for promotion but we were never progressing with that style against the rest of the world which is what the prem is I suppose, the good old championship is the best of Britain. One day pep will play 442 with quality and it’ll be flavour of the month again!
  21. Doesn’t mean much, the Dutch always fall out with themselves!
  22. When they beat us, both in the cup and the home league game the following season I thought they’d simply ran over us with drive and pace that we struggled to cope with. 433 played the Liverpool way ( though without the quality) if you like. I would be happy with that style if we can pull it off.
  23. And in Frank Worthington the best first touch I’ve ever seen upto and including now, tv or live. His feet thighs and chest appeared to have Velcro on them !! But the last 10 years have been the best, in fact it’s almost like we had to go down in order to win another trophy if we weren’t good enough to do it in the prem. Serial winners!!! Check us out Arsenal, Spurs, Villa, United and all the rest, never boring at Leicester.
  24. All I can say is Jamie Vardy!! 37 and those that think he’s lost it , watch last night’s game again, it was circa 2016 Vards! He was electric. Obviously Abdul will get most of the plaudits but that performance was special and will live long in the memory for me.
