Under Maresca we had two no 8’s inside them as an option to pass to. Now the only option is to beat 2 or three men. As Wilder intimated, mark our wingers and you beat Leicester. Instead of two high 8s we play a luxury no 10 who apart from the odd goal has been anonymous. They been help no castigation. Marti out! Fatawu’s pace will drive him past any right back in this league, but with the absence of a high 8 alongside him on the right as an option as in Enzo’s system, he just runs into traffic, as does Mav on the left. Obviously under this bloke we have no system or idea. All the managers after Enzo said they’d set up like him, none have.

Get an old school manager in with a young innovative coach under him, do away with an expensive DOF ( if their job has been to set a style of play it ain’t working.) and work directly with recruiters, these coaches get pellets for signings they didn’t make! MON did well at Celtic for instance and he ran this club from top to bottom when he was here like Pearson. Top and co won’t admit it but that’s what they, and the club needs.
