I watched all the game and, genuinely, if he hadn’t been on camera walking back to the tunnel at halftime would not have known he was playing. Also that was in a team that played most of the football….. but not threatening the goal much obviously.

He may well be a striker that comes alive in the box but sadly, at this level, current City and previous Palace don’t get up the pitch in numbers to get quality balls in enough? Bournemouth however!!!! I can’t remember being attacked like that for years, if ever!! Looked awesome going forward second half.

It’s not crazy, Martin O’Neill’s City always had Guppy and Impey as wing backs, the clues in the title, Kristianson and Justin are fullbacks who get forward now and then, neither can cross decently when they get there.

Wouldn’t it be great, teams still seem to defend in a 4-4-2 so why can’t we attack with it ? I guess Shinji’s workrate in the title season made us more a 4-4-1-1 but still an attacking formation. With his work rate ( forgive me) couldn’t Ayew sit behind Vards ala Shinji to cut off play maker midfielder?

I don’t know if it’s lack of charisma, but Cooper does seem small and insignificant on the touch line not seemingly in charge or control. I’m concerned he’s lost half the dressing room already.

It’s only physically he may struggle. In tight areas he’s very good and his passing ability is something VK can only dream about. Thought he had a fine game last night always available and mixed his passing up nicely.

He won’t get exposed in a low block system, and let’s be honest we will play like that all season. And on the ball he can play.
