I think we are, and should be fishing in the championship pond irrespective of division. The better players from the championship can prosper in the premier and won’t be earning stupid money.

How difficult is it to get promoted after being relegated?
ceebeefox replied to Heskey2011's topic in Leicester City Forum
Castagne??? I’d have driven him to London myself. -
This! I couldn’t believe the plaudits the goal got on sky! I’d back myself at 64 to score from that position with zero challenge and good view of far post! Mind you it’d have to be on the other side as I’m all left foot!

Only if you’re winning it.

Going back further the rest of the country couldn’t understand us wanting Peter Taylor out when we were top six, fans collectively are never wrong, we see it coming, and sadly we’re seeing it again. Football is cyclical as we know, if United or Liverpool for example have a downturn it means 7th, for us it means relegation and 10 years of obscurity. I’ll always watch us though, league we’re in doesn’t bother me so long as the football has me oohing and aahing not as is currently the case yawning. I find Man City boring too by the way and they win everything.

Anybody got any idea why the ref gave penalty yellow, but then when it’s outside the box it became red? A foul on someone clean through is a red, end of surely? Or did VAR correct the very poor Madley on both counts?

Leicester 1-0 Sunderland Post Match Thread.

Watched the game through my fingers, breathed a massive sigh of relief, then watched the last 15 of the Ipswich game. Pace, drive, passion, absolute night and day from our game. We are too soon out of the prem. The saying it’s better to travel than arrive comes to mind, that excitement that was in the Ipswich ground we just can’t get, be it style of play or arrogance and entitlement amongst our lot. -
Sunderland (A) - Tuesday 5th March - 7.45pm

You can cross low you know but the ball would be going away from the keeper and Vardy or Cannon would come alive. Both are decent in the air too by the way but are battling for scraps when the ball is swinging in towards centre halves and keeper. -

That side looks too balanced, shame on you sir! -
Can’t understand why the wingers can’t swap wings at times! When Albrighton comes on he plays on his strong right side, whips in quality without even beating his man. Surely for 10 or 15 minutes in the game we could have a left footer on the left and a right likewise, who knows we might even give our striker a chance!

When did we sign that fella Vesterbauer?
ceebeefox replied to Bluetintedspecs's topic in Leicester City Forum
Agreed, but regular playing has improved his fitness and he looks quicker now too. Brought the ball out with real pace last night at times. -
Leeds United (A) 3-1 - Post-Match Thread

And Vardy very very rarely misses one on ones. Nine times out of ten his near post connection last week goes in. Not convinced that Daka Nacho or Canon would’ve been sharp enough to get in that near post position either . -
When you’re coming in, near post from low crosses you angle your foot and direct the ball , just let it hit you if you will, nine times out of ten from that distance it goes in, in this case it flew over, Vardy did everything right.

As we’re likened to Man City’s playing style, he’s our Bernardo Silva, poor man’s maybe but has dribbling skills and can pick a pass too, bargain at 7 million.

LCFC Vs. Birmingham City (3-0 W) Post Match Thread
ceebeefox replied to OntarioFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
That’s because the modern way (very sadly) is for left footers playing on the right and right footers playing on the left! It’s natural for them to step inside, and then they get shut down so it ends up going back. Marc is the only one that plays in his true position, yet not in the title team strangely. -
Better club!!!! Nah, just flavour of the month like we were 8 years ago with our recruitment that clicked at the time. Those wheels will come off soon.

I really rate KDH, love him and don’t want him to go, I would however swap him for any of those midfielders you’ve quoted in a heartbeat!

Why do some teams play almost as well with 10 when we always seem to have a backs to the wall struggle? Couldn’t we have moved to a 342 or 441 and played it longer and turned them round a bit? I know it’s not how we play but we should have a plan B when ad if we go down to 10 men, it’s not as if it’s unusual in this non contact sport we watch these days! Tough to say but Cov were the better side today as well imo.

Who do you want for next season in the PL
ceebeefox replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
I’m not sure about writing Vesty off in the prem, I mean is he any slower than Dunk? Who’s got the highest number of passes in the league not unlike Vesty in ours. It’s about getting pace around him I guess. -
Agree with most of this. The second goal was a move that was on against high pressing Leeds, time and time again, the difference and reason it was effective yesterday was Daka, he is the only one of our strikers who is quick over a 30 yard run imo. Vardy used to be ( and still is over 10 ), and Nacho isn’t. With Fatawa also it was another option but one I’ve been screaming after all season. Don’t get me wrong Daka was awful at times last season and back to goal he’s been poor but he should have been an option more often with teams that push up on us.

I think at this level all our wide players are capable of hitting the byline and attacking the final third on their correct side, left footer playing left , right footer on the right. Teams are doubling up inside and congesting it up. If Mavadidi had a left foot he’d have scored into an empty net too. It’s worth swapping sides during the game at least. I think Fatawu particularly would have the pace to go past on any side. We do look stale and predictable at the minute up front so something has to change.

Thought he slotted into an unfamiliar position well. Not unlike the way that Nathan Ake did for Man City last year albeit at a much lower level of opposition, but he is imo a good footballer and is quick, so could progress and benefit from regular football which he’s never had here. Another player that has improved from good coaching to go with Ndidi, Vestergaard, KDH also.
