Begovic did nothing wrong and should have kept his place imo. He’d be catching some of what Jacob punched and flapped at. I like to promote and play academy players but keepers mature later , times on his side, but not ours!

How many times did Fatawu knock a first time ball aimlessly into midfield for the opposition to pick up easily? Get him on the left where his pace would take him by most in this league and he can cross from his natural side. Mavadidi on the other hand is in a better vein of form and looked more comfortable last night, but neither got a ball in all night hardly. Mind you, with no striker what would happen? I agree, he should have gone after Millwall, but only for tactical reasons, he cannot be blamed for the wage bill, nor does it show the best team, we proved that in 2016. We know who’s to blame and until we get a manager and recruitment combo we’re staying where we are. And obviously new ownership or a DOF who can run the club properly.

I think we are marginally better with a poor Daka up front. He’s not the worst we’ve ever had, although proportionally wage wise compared to the poorer ones he probably is, but Akinbiyi was better than him, he did score a few in the premier that season, his issues were the ones he missed. I’ve said before I think Daka has missed a couple of good ones this season, but we don’t create many.

He’s still better than half of them in the Premier, just needs service.

Under Maresca we had two no 8’s inside them as an option to pass to. Now the only option is to beat 2 or three men. As Wilder intimated, mark our wingers and you beat Leicester. Instead of two high 8s we play a luxury no 10 who apart from the odd goal has been anonymous. They been help no castigation. Marti out!
