There’s a lot to consider. When to make the appointment to stay online with FFP. They’ve spoken to all of the representatives and potentially candidates and are making a decision. They’ve made a decision and are awaiting the candidate to make a decision. There’s a fair bit to consider with this role, and these things do take time. Also, we weren’t planning on losing our manager, so unlike Brighton, who knew De Zerbi was going, we fully expected Enzo to stay, he even gave us his word. So, this is why this is taking time.

Ricardo might not be able to play in that position again at the pace of the PL….. if he can, then he is a shoe in to start.

JJ isn’t, he often gets played on the left side, and he is right footed. On the right, JJ in my opinion is quality. We just need to see if he can still play that role following his injury, which I think he can. I think our fullbacks will end up being VK and JJ, and Ricardo will more than likely be bit part, potentially used as a midfielder.

Did he turn us down? Or was he just wanting to take a mini hiatus?
