  1. If he gets an injury in a league game, so be it. But if he was to get injured in a cup game, when he could have been rested is another matter. You can’t remove the risk of injury every game, but for games like this you can, and we should.
  2. And if Winks gets a season ending injury?
  3. Because of a monument collapse due to nothing other than pure negligence from those that run the club, for which (Top is mainly responsible) that has potentially put the future of this club in jeopardy. I think that’s enough to have a moan.
  4. Stolarczyk Nelson Coady Doyle Hamza Raikhy Albrighton Yunus Marcel Abdul Cannon. Cant afford to lose any key players, those who want us to go full strength need to just have a sit down and think about the potential fatal consequences of not getting promotion. This needs to be our complete priority, our position is perilous and it’s extremely concerning that some fans are genuinely wanting us to go for this… the FA cup isn’t going anywhere, it will still be there next season and the season after that, this is not the time to be nostalgic and fall for the love of the cup, likelihood is we’re not going to win anyway, we could well end up coming off the top of the table this weekend too , which will further increase the pressure on us going into the final game of the season. Take no risks, get through the game without losing any players and then forget about it. We’ve got 9 cup finals coming up anyway, and we need absolutely everything to throw at those.
  5. I think you’re bang on with KDH. I think they wanted him in January but we agreed to complete the deal in the summer, like you say to give us the best chance of promotion and then let him go in the summer. I wouldn’t be devastated to lose him, provided we spend money wisely. Can see winks potentially going too, which would be terrible, but if we can avoid punishment by selling players then you do it surely? Unless you’re happy to gamble with the points deductions…..
  6. They’re such an odd bunch of people. And that’s not even saying that as a Leicester fan. But the way they talk you’d think they haven’t been absent from top level football for 20 odd years. The lads I work with are always taking the piss, and it’s not banter, it’s genuinely because they think they’re far, far superior to us…… it’s weird….. one of them even suggested they would get a lesser punishment because they’re Forest?
  7. 2 points is what is circulating within their fan base at the moment.
  8. I agree, which will happen. You’ve got the league cup as an example, Man City V Man United for example, could easily be taken away to be played in a different country. The fact is some of the most financially powerful nations are desperate to have an established top level football network on their doorstep. The WC in Qatar was the start of it, Ronaldo heading there was another example. They can’t build an established league overnight, but they can make one….. which is probably what they’re going to try and do. We all know money talks, and they’ve got it to burn…..
  9. I’m not so sure, there maybe some resistance, but I’m pretty sure if for arguments sake it just happens out of the blue (which obviously it won’t), those involved would soon move on and accept it. For me, the dangerous thing is the rise of the NFL in Europe. Over the last few years it’s popularity has exploded to the point domestic games are being played in Europe….. I’m sure if you asked NFL fans about 10 years ago if regular NFL games would be played in Europe they probably would have laughed you out of the room. And along with this more American consortium’s are showing an interest in football. Like we’ve seen with Spurs, we could start swing alliances being formed with the NFL stakeholders and teams, which again could increase the likelihood of this happening. It’s the way world sport is going, everyone wants a slice of it, and the respective governing bodies are losing a degree of control over it. At the end of the day, football is the worlds most popular sport, and those nations that are heavily investing in it want it to be a closed shop elite league where all of the worlds best teams play each other. Whereas it’s still probably more unlikely that likely, it’s probably more likely than it’s ever been before….. for the right kind of money, anything is possible, the government wouldn’t stand in its way either with the potential of how lucrative it would be. I just don’t think it can be ruled out…
  10. I don’t get this either (us included V Everton) but shouldn’t we be sticking together? It’s just another example of how ****ing pathetic modern day football is becoming, clubs turning on one another. The current English football pyramid is as close to evil (in a sporting context) as you can get.
  11. It’s starting to appear to be the case. It’s definitely going to happen, that original attempt was to test the waters I think, they will just announce it’s happening one day and that will be that.
  12. This is exactly it, the fact clubs actually voted for this is a bit crazy…… surely the financial personnel within the clubs could have just seen how this wasn’t going to work? But like you’ve eluded to, this whole thing makes no sense, so it’s fine for the super rich clubs to exploit loopholes and escape punishment, but the more modest clubs will get strung up for making mistakes, and the irony of it all is, the bigger clubs just want to piss off and do their own thing. We worry about our club, but the reality is, since Everton’s deduction, every single club outside of those “big six” are in danger. In fact, I think every modest club will end up being punished, for competing and in some cases surviving. The whole system is evil, and the collapse of English football is now is likely rather than a possibility. Certainly in the EFL and the worst part is, they don’t give a shit they want to go after teams and punish them, which is ****ing stupid because they will end up with 6 teams left on the league…. Do they actually enjoy doing it? Because if the worst happens and we don’t go up, and get ****ed by the EFL, it leaves our future in the balance….. “Another club gone” as the EFL chiefs head off into the showers for high fives and bum slaps. ****ing ludicrous.
  13. This. Football is definitely on the way to being completely destroyed. The EPL and EFL have signed their death warrants, give it five or so years, and I would be surprised if there isn’t a pro evo style closed league with the worlds “best” teams competing with one another, NFL style. It’s only a matter of time I think.
  14. First thing would be to release all the players out of contract. Then you’re just going to have to gamble on young players, championship players with prospect, as we know the lower leagues are financially worse than us in some respects, free transfers and utilise the loan market. It’s not the end of the world, it just means we’ve got to be really clever with what we do. Plus.c there’s lots of teams going to breach FFP and PRS over the next few seasons, so provided to come up with a better more sustainable plan, we can keep our heads above water. Listening to the @BSLBPod it’s clear that we’re victims of our own success, and possibly the clubs naivety showed operating at such a high level.
  15. The more the change it, the better case of appeal we have. I actually think any charges put to us we can successfully appeal. They’ve got to be careful, because they’re literally applying one rule to one team and another to another team. They can’t possibly issue lesser punishments to Everton and Forest, when both blatantly failed to comply, when we tried to, and got relegated in the process. The people who oversee this are ****ing incompetent ****wit dingleberries.
  16. Why is this thread still open? 😂 Is the question still seriously being asked?
  17. Everything was going well, we seemed in complete control, then there was the Leeds game and since then everything has unraveled. We’ve looked like a different team, since then, we even layer well in the Leeds game….. perhaps the manner of the loss has hit the team and Enzo hard. They need this international break to really regroup and kick on. I fancy us to come back strong after the break, and hopefully go on a winning run to finish the season properly. We need to just take a moment to regroup. It’s been a heavy week, thanks to the media trying their best to put us off.
  18. We miss Ricardo badly. He’s the glue that holds this whole thing together.
  19. I think the problem for some of us is just how reluctant to change anything he is. The beauty of team sports is that small tweaks can make the world of difference. We’re in a position where we are playing a lot of teams who are scrapping for something, and we seem to be getting out scrapped. Sometimes if it’s not a style change it’s personal, we are lacking leadership on the pitch, times like this are ideal for turning to older heads to just calm the games down. Yesterday was chaotic, we were desperate for a leader and yet Coady is still sat on the bench. He is also making pointless subs, usually like for like, and that makes no change on the game at all. It’s hard to enjoy, because the stakes are so high if we fail to get promoted. It’s essentially do or bust, so there’s definitely panic starting to set in throughout the fanbase. It’s incredible what four weeks can do, four weeks ago we were about 12 clear of Leeds, and looked untouchable, since then we’ve completely lost our way on the pitch, and have been told we’re getting hammered by the PL and the EFL. Brilliant…. That’s a hell of a lot to deal with.
  20. I did actually yes. I’ve said throughout that I’ve held some reservations about Enzo’s reluctance to be flexible. You learn nothing about a team and manager when you’re winning, but you do when you’re losing, and at the moment Enzo doesn’t appear to be dealing with it very well. Is it lack of experience or stubbornness.
  21. I think what can be said, is Enzo Isn’t playing football to suit this teams strengths.
  22. It probably is the best squad. But it’s not being used properly. Enzo is ignoring the teams strengths and is trying to force his philosophy onto them. And in times of hardship that doesn’t breed confidence. It’s interesting looking at talisman’s body language, and KDH does not look remotely impressed at the moment.
  23. It’s about how YOU set up. You have to tempt them out. There are ways of drawing teams out without just standing with the ball at the back waiting for something to happen. Any team will press when given a chance, you have to be clever with how you deal with it. We look to control every aspect of the game, and seemingly can’t. Sometimes you can place the emphasis onto the opponents and try to sucker punch them. And I don’t mean dink it over the top to Vardy, use the pace on the wings to attack the spaces.
  24. Faes isn’t, Hamza definitely isn’t. Vesty isn’t, Kristiensen? He’s not even hear. Iverson is wank, Daka’s first touch rivals Rolf Harris’, and Praet is made of paper mache……. So where are these 15?
  25. Looked ****ed off today. I imagine he’s frustrated with himself, he sets incredibly high standards.
