  1. You were clearly too quick for me!
  2. I agree with you totally. Coady shouldn’t be playing unless it’s stepping in for Vesty. I do completely agree, I do think Coady will significantly weaken our defence, to the point where I’m concerned it will scupper our entire game plan……..
  3. A bit worried about this… Coady will completely upset the balance at the back…..
  4. All good bar Coady….. that’s an odd decision. I don’t rate him at all.
  5. It’s because Vesty can’t be moved away from that central position. His passing ability is far superior to Coady…. Coady appears to be a great leader, but he appears to be the weaker of the defenders.
  6. Would be concerned by that. Coady doesn’t impress me at all.
  7. I think Rodgers benefited massively from the side Puel has assembled. The squad we had was still pretty good, and then the year after this it was probably at its peak. Initially things obviously started well, but there was clear regression over Brendan’s tenure….. letting quality leave and not bringing quality in. Rodgers lost heart as that began to happen and well, the rest as it is, was history. We need an attitude like Enzo, someone with the drive and determination to actually put the effort in needed to see a plan through.
  8. I’m a little bit scared, but, if we turn up we beat these. They are going to leave a lot of space for us to exploit, but I’d suggest we’re at risk of being complacent…… if we don’t approach this game properly we could end up with a Leeds situation. We know on a bad day we can be hopeless in front of goal and equally as ropey at the back. We have to be aggressive from the offset, Ipswich could potentially be nervous coming to this, or overzealous to try and impose themselves. Either way, we’ve got to get into them, get Mavididi and Fatawu to run them rigid…. Basically, get into them, and **** them up.
  9. Slightly controversial opinion, but I actually miss it….
  10. This is the best squad the championship has ever seen. You’ll see when we’ve got 117 points on the board.
  11. Get the record? We will piss it. 117 points is my guess.
  12. Mate of mine was at the Leeds game today, said Ipswich were shite, aggressive coming forward but absolutely crap at defending. Reckons Leeds could have had 6 or 7 comfortably. We turn up with the right attitude and look to exploit the gaps they leave we should pummel them.
  13. He would need a Time Machine to join a premiership side.
  14. His instincts in the box are second to none…. He has an incredible ability to be in the right place when needed. Most of his goals will be scrappy tap ins, but that’s the beauty of him.
  15. @Unabomber I think we’re flogging a dead horse with respect to atmosphere and people leaving early…. It’s happened for years, for as long as I can remember, even when we won the PL it wasn’t until the latter part of the season that, that largely stopped. I don’t think it will change unfortunately. Bloke near me leaves on 80 minutes ever week without fail……. Imagine the amount of late goals he has missed over the years….. all to beat the traffic.
  16. This lot are getting ****ed up……
  17. They were beyond shocking. Just sat off us all game, must have been ten yards inside their own half with little to no press. I didn’t think we were poor first half, thought we played well, and clearly looked the superior team, we just needed that extra bit of juice to break them down. Second half was much better, Daka is proving how vital he is, off the ball he is a mess, but he has an ability to get into the right place at the right time, I’m a fan of him at the moment, he’s going to score a lot of goals in this league, and they are just through being in the right place. We looked even better with Praet on the pitch, Wilf isn’t as good against teams like this, as he just hasn’t got that tight technique you need to unlock a low block, Praet created a lot of space with some clever movement. Mavididi had another funny game, I wish he would take on and commit his full back more, sometimes he looks like that overzealous lad at school who just spent 15 minutes twitching without actually doing anything with the ball! Other times he’s devastating! Another odd observation was Praet, not changed his boots for a few seasons, hasn’t had his hair cut for a fair old while either…. Usually that’s a sign of a “run out of ****s” look, you know the kind, when you’ve got a week or so left in your current role, because you’ve got a new job lined up, and you’ve pretty much at 10% of ****s, if that, so you looks a bit scruffy, don’t cut your hair, leave turds in trap two without flushing…. That kind of thing……. He’s normally well presented, but he seems a bit scruffy and looking like he can’t be anused at the moment.
  18. Posting whilst drunk isn’t big and it isn’t clever!
  19. He’s doing well at this level, but…. I’m still not convinced he would be good at premier league level. He’s too inconsistent at this…. Both he and Fatawu remind me a little bit of Tony K and Mahrez, Mavididi is more the Tony K type of player, does well at this level, but you can see that he’s likely to not be able to replicate the form in the premier league. Fatawu I think will, he’s far more dynamic he just needs to add a few more goals to his game.
  20. I’d take a narrow win, change the team around and rest some key players for Boxing Day.
  21. If his cameo is for the statue department then perhaps so. Im not convinced he’s even a footballer, he looks terrified when he comes on, a bit like then you were at school and they took you on the dry ski slope trip, and on the forms where it asks if you’ve done it before, you tick expert, and then get to the top of the slope and realise what terrible mistake you’ve just made. Perhaps he is still injured? I don’t know but he’s not shown anything at the moment to convince me he’s an improvement to what we already have……
  22. He was electric last night. Unplayable, both he and Fatawu….. are we living in an alternative reality? Two wingers? Actual wingers? With pace and everything! Love Fatawu, he’s like a big kid, he just was like “wind up the Birmingham fans, sounds like a good idea to me”
  23. If you’re referring to who I think you are, he was showing plenty of signs that he had something, it just needed work….. Cannon just appears to not look all that arsed but doesn’t at first glance appear to have any outstanding qualities either.
  24. They preferred Simms to him, and Simms can’t even play football. Im surprised we’ve signed him, you at least like to see a bit of pace, a decent first touch, or some creative runs or something, tonight, he would have been more useful as a traffic cone…….
