Harry Redknapp!! Crouch, Kranjcar and Defoe are still better than anything we currently have.

Nothing they say can appease the fans after this season. It will be all be cliches like ‘we gave our all’, we stuck together’, ‘we fought to the end’, ‘nobody is hurting more than us.’ Yep, until you jump ship.

Get some more clappers and honesty flags in. They clearly make such a difference.

Feels like a long time since we had a scouting system that could find the likes of Mahrez and Kante. How the hell did we go from that to Soumare and Faes?

Too many of our standout players saw their form go completely AWOL while our investment was shocking when you look how bang average the likes of Daka, Soumare, Faes, Kristiansen and Souttar have been.

Beyond me how Rodgers and now Smith think Ndidi or Soumare are any better than Mendy. Team has been crying out for somebody to plug big holes in our midfield and the guy to do is it either on the bench or in the stands.

He’s had some moments of pure magic this season - but I don’t understand why an Arsenal or Liverpool or anybody in that top six looks at him and thinks he’s a player that can take us forward. Too slow to be a top level midfielder and sometimes very poor decision making.

Criminal to think in a season where at times our defending has been woeful, this guy has been sat twiddling his thumbs. Wonder if there’s more to the Rodgers story than him just not training well because he’s shown in the last 180 minutes why he’s a proven international defender. Absolute colossus

40 years a fan this year and over 30 as a season ticket holder. In that time I’ve watched some great times, good times, mediocre times and utterly crap times. But I’ll still renew and keep going. No other reason other than that I’d miss it. Miss the full range of emotions that come with being a fan. Whether we’re winning Premier League, stuck in the Championship for donkeys years or dropping down to League One. It’s the hope that kills you!!!!

Maddison seems to have reached the point where he’s realised that he can’t keep polishing a turd. Head and shoulders our best player and best hope of staying up. But he must feel like he’s trying to scale Everest in flip flops right now carrying very average players around him.

Not physically up for the Premier League sadly. A feather would knock him off the ball. Maybe with time to settle in and get accustomed to physical nature of Premier League, he’ll be a decent player. But he doesn’t look like the kind of player who is going to dig in for a relegation scrap.

Have just arrived in Melbourne for the Phillip Island motorcycle GP this weekend. Don't mention the rugby though. Touchy subject funnily enough down here. Haven't seen many Wallaby shirts downtown yet. Swing low and all that.
