I'll send you a polite pm, all of this is probably of little interest to LCFC forum members (altho LCFC had and still have strong Scottish connections ) and forum "squabbling" is time consuming and undignified to us both. I had a great friend who came from Hinckley and our 2015/6 run of pride and pleasure was probably trebled by being able to share the results and stress until about March /April when it became all pleasure. . I used to be actually afraid to switch on for the results all through January and February. If we ever get a similar run we might meet for a beer (I thought we might do it again this year up until Everton and I'm one of those I'm afraid who think we would be top of the league if BR had simply not played Perez or iheanacho in those matches) . I wouldn't want to lose BR though. As I say there's a lot I don't know about Scottish football and I'm sure I would learn a lot about Scottish Football and this forum. I don't feel i can send you a pm without permission so I hope you'll get back to me to do that. You can certainly email me, no problem. I presume you can read my email off my profile. Sutton, Hartson de Boer were all good players ,I don't know much and have n 't seen much of the others but I'm sure you would n't claim they were in Larssen's class either as a player or as an example of gentlemanly conduct. He was a sot of Vardy in many ways .De Boer if I've got the right guy was the only player ever capable of scoring through a concrete wall. RGDS. A ps . I've just noticed Foxyladies post and picture. I'm 77 and now harmless but if she'll forgive me saying so ,I think I'd probably ,with all due repects, rather meet her for a beer.

About the so called "guff". Sorry delay in replying, LCFC 's fortunes were devouring most of my allowed posts. 1/ Rangers and Celtic have higher home attendances . Their gate receipts might be high .Unfortunately even the Scottish PL will not let them ,even Rangers, play all their games at home. They have to play half their games away in tiny stadia compared with EPL clubs . I have no idea of how gate receipts are distributed but I assumed that the away club receives less than the home club. The season ticket picture is as you say although I think Rangers season ticket revenue which Craig "Crook" used to buy the club for peanuts is still the subject of various court actions . I have no idea where C and R figure in the various worlds wealthiest clubs lists, I only look down as far as Leicester (we are usually around 20th, I think slightly higher at the moment, where we are dwarfed by both Manchesters ,Chelsea. Spurs Liverpool and Arsenal . We are slowly gaining ground. You'd have to tell me where C and R were, fairly well up I should think but then they probably would be if they didn't play football at all. 2/ Per population you are probably correct. I did not include those words. 3/ My words following said something like just as Celtic recovered Rangers started drowning or words to that effect. Both clubs got ECL income every two years on average , despite biannual participation in the ECL neither club usually lasts until Christmas. Dropping into the EFL before elimination. Despite this money Celtic went within minutes of total bankruptcy in the mid nineties , Sam McGinn ? stepping in at the last moment to save them. As Celtic were recovering Rangers went worse than bankrupt with the tax authorites owed millions still . I think that in the last 100 seasons all other clubs combined have won Scotlands top division 19 times Rangers and Celtic ,the old firm taking the rest (81). The total statistics are even worse. Had the clubs been in England in the PL they probably would have ceased to exist had PL and FA rules and company law been applied . Thats probably true in Scotland too but when so much of professional soccer is wrapped up in just two clubs, rules were bent. Of course Tax Law can't be so easily bent and Rangers and the tax authorities are still in dispute as far as I know ,the only certainty being they still owe millions. The only other city of any size ,Edinburgh has two clubs Hibs and Hearts teetering on bankruptcy regularly. I can't remember which one is currently in trouble but I think its Hearts. They were certainly offering meals in a tent on the pitch during the covid crisis not long ago to raise funds. 4/ Virgil van Dijk when he played for Celtic was a £1. 4 m player . He went to Celtic ,I think from a Dutch club who were trying to get rid (he had a lot of medical problems). They got no offers despite asking around Dutch clubs until Celtic offered. He did well at Celtic ( they were I think then absolute rulers of football in Scotland . Rangers having been relegated to the 4th tier by a combinattion of legal and financial problems were preoccupied in clawing their way back to the PL, a 4-5 year job). Eventually he became valued at £14 m which Saints paid for him and due to their development of him and probably the overcoming of his medical problems he became the star player Liverpool have to day. I'm not sure who Andy Robertson is ,Roberts and Robertson are common names in football. He's a good player ,if he's the Liverpool defender, and some no doubt might include him among the world's best. England 's PL currently has a dearth of good defenders. At RB probably 20 players and at LB slightly , very slightly less. At LCFC we have 4 possibly 6 defenders who could be described as considered by many among the best in the world at their position. Note I mentioned Larssen as a "player" in Scottish football , neither Robertson or Van Dijk are playing in Scxottish football and certainly Van Dijk only touched Scotland briefly between Holland and England, as a developing player. I presume you are Scottish. As I said when I went to Scotland about 50 years ago I preferred to watch Scottish football. Aberdeen and Dundee United were challenging the old firm and Scotland had more good ball players which I prefer to watch. Sadly as everyone over fifty will know Scottish football has plumbed many ,many lows since then although I am glad to see the National team is definitely on the rise in the last year . Before accusing anyone of writing guff you should check your facts. before writing a load of guff . That includes reading what is actually written . As I said early in my post I don't know it all regarding Scottish football. I now don't follow it at all except occasionally checking the Celtic/Rangers matches just as I check out the English Championship matches. When I moved to Scotland the country, which could always give England a good match was alive with football chat and meant a lot to the nation. Living there now the only conversations one would have were concerned with "whats gone wrong with Scottish football ?". Its been the subject of so many STV programs .If you visit Scotland still you must have noticed how football has dropped down the list of conversational subjects.

I've run quickly in my head through Jack Charlton, Calvin Palmer and a few others . I don't want to type rashly and I try to be honest. He is a bad player by PL standards .In fact the gap between him and the rest of our team might be the biggest gap I ever remember seeing in a professional football team. And thats with iheanacho playing. Sorry nacho , you are improving and might make it . Just remember selfishness is as bad for the team as not working hard enough.
-
Hooray ! BR does what he ideally should have done about 60 minutes ago and then about 15 minutes ago at HT.
-
Thats half the trouble. He's getting stuck in for Wolves.
-
OK BR . Gotta make HT changes . How could you gamble with these vital 3 points . Perez and Iheanacho ? Perez has practically a 100 % record of costing us possession 1st half . At one point Wolves who are outmatched made their best chance of 3 good ones when the Wolves 12th man (cunningly playing in blue ! no. 17. Is that legal) ) gave a perfect pass into an isolated Wolves player in the centre, Iheanacho nearly passable .He s making presses ! Barnes is showing him how to really press but Nacho is definitely getting the idea. We would have been probably a couple up had we played a footballer instead of Perez. Cognitive perception be buggered he's a teenager playing a man's game. Even without changes we could win but its such a silly risk . How can we guarantee a win with a forward player giving away, losing the ball , incredibly even fouling twice , every time he's involved . I don't have to tell you BR did n't phone me early this morning to check his selections . He knew I'd never have OK' ed them. No major chenges necessary , just Perez off replaced by anyone.
-
Another domino tumbles at Fulham. I'm already warming my car for the 300 plus mile journey to Mike Dean's house as I've been selected by the PL to perform the kneecapping . I might (I hope) develop a shaky hand resulting in a castration, or at least a double knee capping. Brendan, Wolves are not just TNM and therefore most important , they are now far more important than that. We must get 3 points . We've let the Manchesters and L'pool off too often. If you want to check your selections with me I'll be back about 7.30 am tomorrow morning. I'd hate to develop a shaky hand near an LCFC manager.

Good point but there's always lessons to be learned from other clubs, particularly Celtic and Rangers. I've lived in Scotland for about 40 years but would n't claim to know it all. Both clubs have been remarkably good at incompetence, particularly financial. Buses normally leave from all over Scotland every w/e to ferry supporters to whereever Rangers and Celtic are playing despite which their gate receipts are lower than most PL clubs. It does n't do the rest of Scottish football much good either. For clubs other than C and R gates are unbelieveably low compared with England for obvious reasons. Both clubs have been practically bankrupt in recent years. Celtic recovered first at about the same time Rangers started drowning., and are probably still in better financial shape. Usually ECL cash keeps them afloat although for either to survive beyond Xmas is rare. I doubt either would survive in the PL without ECL cash, for many seasons and believe me you would n't want them. The financial scandal of Rangers finances reached national government level as have s Celtic's Covid breaches. I've never risked attending a match at either except as a Coporate guest. I dare but don't. I'm English. If we draw Rangers in the EL I will.if my son will accompany me, but won't wear any blue and I'll assume a Scottish accent. I'm not kidding. For a reason I don't know the extraordinary supply of talented Scottish footballers dried up in the 1980s=90s. I don't think anyone in Scottish football knows why. The result has been an annual decline in gates , international ranking, club support, and the old firm.I suspect Rangers and Celtic may have unwittingly caused this somehow. The same effect has to some extent happened in England but less so and masked by a much higher, all seated population. I personally would say the last civilised and real quality player in Scottish football was Henrik Larssen . I think even many Rangers fans liked and respected him. The clubs don't even have goal line technology let alone VAR, Too expensive. Regarding Lennon i think if he had n't been a footballer he'd have been a good guy. His treatment in Scottish football has been disgracful over the years (wrong religion I think). Celtic fans are not too civilised but as most countries in Europe know, Rangers fans are probably worse. There are also an awful lot more of them . When I moved here I was a big fan of Scottish Football who probably had more skilled players than England.I was warned early on never to take my young son to Rangers or Celtic . This from a man who had played at Hampden Park. When I said surely a man with a seven year old son won't be a target I was told the bottles, bricks and piss won't know his age. Good advice then but things have greatly improved mainly due to drink restrictions. The hatred between many Celtic and Ranger's fans still leads to some deaths each year although again, things have been greatly improved due to legislation, and they don't usually die in the stadiums now.

My f/c to end of season is we will finish with 73-76 points . 73 points should be enough to guarantee ECL football next season. To do this we need to slightly improve which should be possible as I would expect our home form to improve to a point which more than compensates for any falling away in away form. Average luck should see our injury problems lessen for the rest of the season relative to other teams. I also think BR will have learned from points lost to date due to imo occasionally poor selection, compounded by lack of correction at half time. I think he'll still be here for 2021/2 season which I regard as very good news. That to me will be a good season. 2021/2 I think will be even better. This post is meant for me really as a record and has been dated , printed and pinned up but it may bring cheer to those who won't get their covid jabs until end May, What ever happens in the FA Cup and EL is less important financially but could be a wonderful bonus if we get past Brighton which I think will be difficult.

Clearly one of the good guys and a good manager. Football varies in importance in my life depending on other interests and altho I followed LCFC 's very good results while NP was manager I never had time to delve into the manager but people I trust have said he contributed so much to 2015/16 , I don't doubt it. He's been unlucky and has often suffered unfairness I suspect because his first emotional reaction is not typical of his deeper character and had he stopped to reflect longer he could have ended up managing successfully a big club such as LCFC are hopefully becoming.(as long as they don't pick up big clubs bad habits). The interviewer was awful as I've come to expect from the modern BBC. NP came across as admirable , honest , and a man with the right views on life IMO and would have appeared even better had the interviewer known his job, shut up, and been possibly a bit older. He will probably go a long way in what now passes as the BBC. I hope NP himself continues in football, and to be content with life. The written piece by Nigel Pearson posted on the forum comes across better imo. Forget the thread reference.

Money. If by some magic we could get the genie back in the bottle. !/ Most footballers would play for say £100k per year, and feel privileged.. 2/Most football managers would struggle to find a management job in other disciplines at over say £150K a year. 3/ Most footballers skills are way below the skills of other professionals. 4/ Most matches are not worth £60 to watch as entertainment. 5/Most talented people earn less than in the entertainment industry which football has now become. 6/ Most football pundits, commentators etc know little more than the average fan and are poor and overpaid. 7/ VAR could be good as line calls technology in tennis are. Money is at the root of VARs incompetence. 8/ For football read any sport attracting large interest. 9/Much of football is corrupt. 10/ As you say there is more money in the game here than in Europe sod we suffer the above more than Europe. 11/ I'll say nothing about football agents .Least said the better Notice I say "most" not all and I am referring only to top level football say above championship level. The further one goes down football towrds the amateur game the less true the above statements are.I could type many words justifying the above sweeping statements. and am prepared to if anyone doubts any particular statement. Most are imo so self evident as to be indisputable. But sigh I still love the game even as entertainment and not sport and how do we get the genie back.? Jimmy Hill had you known what you were unleashing I doubt you'd have done it. It costs us all a great deal of money, The billions don't grow on football pitches in an agricultural sense .

Greetings Sorry about the duplicate (i;m an old fart too) and been supporting Leicester for 58 years. The years from 61 to 63 must have been rough as I've always thought we were always pretty special but admittedly Vichai made us a club maybe capable of real greatness. He also kept us civilised while doing it.

Being a bit wiser than usual and posting after I've rewatched the highlights. Confirmed for me most of my older posts and impressions. Worried when i saw the team. We needed 3 points and could have fielded a stronger team . Perez body language better and he seemed more relaxed but his lack of pace, physique, and positional instinct mean for me, he'll never be a good first choice in any PL team. Too many times he's seen joggng slowly towards action he should have been in. Doing the things any pl player would do, but more slowly is not good enough. Iheanacho is definitely a Pl standard player but too lazy for a PL team of our quality. He started well pressing from the whistle which highlighted to me he can do it, but almost never does effectively, took his goal well . Towards the end of the match his lack of effort was showing more and more. Maddison is a puzzle ,he did many things well , and has the ability to always save his rating with an assist or a goal as someone else has posted.but as usual I expected more from him. His ball to Barnes for the goal against Leeds was far more difficult than it looked . Barnes was moving fast and nearly surrounded but Maddison returned it to him perfectly. Watch it on the view from behind the goal and you'll see how difficult it was.Maddison is well worth his place. Hes stronger than he looks but if he wants to be a great player which he could be he needs to do some gym training and more fitness training, maybe in the summer I don't think he'd handle it now with all the matches. Justin and Barnes will always be a threat in the penalty box. Soyuncu showed enough to see it would n't be stupid to employ him further forward., just as Fofana and he showed occasionally v Leeds but we can't afford another Leeds and Evans is the man to sort (on the field ) who and how many go forward. Kasper and Vardy both deserve to be captains , but I'd prefer an on field captain to enforce who goes forwrd and who takes set pieces and that has to be someone playing well forward of our goal and behind Vardy. Evans I think would have the player's respect. Brendan of course would be ideal but he's not on the pitch where Evans is more likely to see more. My feeling is against Leeds if Evans had been captain their second goal would not have happened. He realised the danger even before Perez or Maddison (not sure which) failed to foul or slide tackle the Leeds player breaking away. Hes already moving but too far away to catch Bamford despite a valiant try. I think the fouler /tackler should have been Perez . He was jogging and kept jogging, looking quite unperturbed.Apols to him if it was Maddison. Everyone else good or excellent but we can't afford to fail to put out our strongest team for all the matches remaining. We need all the points we can get. That means JV and Wilf are must plays, along with Barnes and Justin. Sorry for length but included Leeds match as well. Usual disclaimer if BR disagreed with any of this I'm voting with BR , not me unless he picks unohu again.and even then I'm sure he'll have a good reason so I'd abstain.
-
May interest some people -Should interest All people. Rarely have I seen such an intelligent and inspiring interview. Honest, no cliches, Intelligent, humble. So glad Kasper won the premiership. So he's a bloody footballer; to me he came across as a great man. I'm grateful he confirmed my impressions that LCFC was a great club with all the right attitudes. WE are special.. Great credit to the interviewers too. I hope next time Kasper goes back to his old school it will be when he wins his second PL with LCFC of course. I did n't like his Dad as much, after all he played for Man U. I think we assumed he was German, all those years ago ,we did n't think much about the Danes as footballers and how we laughed when he drew back his arm to throw out and threw it into his own goal.We knew he was a great goalie though despite that. Well we were just jerks but seeing this interview he obviouly made a great job of bringing up his son. Glad you like LCFC Kasper, we were and are lucky to have got you. I've always thought you were a big contributor to 2015/6 both on and off the pitch. Glad I was so perceptive. Being a sentimental fool. I'd love you to win those other four PLs, or more, even if its eventually as LCFC's manager. You seem to have most of the qualities for that to me, hopefully all of them. Maybe hopefully you'll turn out to be our second great manager. We've been waiting a long while ,maybe they're like buses. Best of luck

I'm still finding featues on the Forum. As i refuse on principle to belong to any social media for two reasons ,one of which is Groucho's . its probably why its taken me a while . Bit early for a vote on this but so far (the season has n't ended and I presume a better title would be Player of the Season but my early thoughts in oder of preference are:- PLayer of the season. Evans, Kasper. Barnes , Thielmans. are all runners in my book Young player Justin, Fofana, Thomas. (is justin eligible for player. ?) Goal lots of good ones ,probably have n't seen it yet. Current Leader Barnes v Leeds Performance Man city Expecting it to be Brighton in FA cup.

Absolutely pointless, not a bit, a lot. Neither. Interesting last night v Fulham, Perez seemed a bit more integrated with the team and actually smiled once with Nacho. Two outcasts together? He was better last night but still pretty bad and hopefully BR saw something at last that led to his coming off, and the whole sorry episode is ended. Iheanacho at last showed something. I'm not divided between the two..Perez will never make a PL player and Nacho looked lazy. A press by Nacho is a caress . At one point last night in the second half a high ball came to him from our defence and he could n't be bothered to jump. Nearer the end he had the ball on his own one on one, Vardy might have had a 30% or higher chance of scoring, nacho prodded it forward and took no further interest. I abstain. In fairness he took his goal well and contributed, just not enough. Presumably Nacho will find a buyer here. For his own sake Perez should be sold in Spain or France.
-
Strongly agree, and likely to end in more disappointments and dead wood . BR has already indicated several times ,and correstly, that all posts calling for a new striker are just wasting ink and everybody's time at the moment. Typical Manchesters and Chelsea fan responses totally inappropriate to LCFC
-
You could be right as I've assumed that Barnes would carry the ball forwards into the striking area (sonething he's excellent at and improving) which would crowd or replace Maddison. I think we'd both agree that when JV comes back he should obviously be central with Barnes and Under supporting.I've suggested Barnes would be more central than Under (and than you would have him) who is still a little bit more untested than Barnes. You are certainly right about being on the half turn but his physique I think would mean he could take and hold up a ball before laying it back to Tielemans, Ndidi or Madison for a shot. Admittedly I have n't seen that or looked for it. The advantage of my plan would be the avoidance in the medium term of buying a replacement for JV ( expensive and carries risks).Fitting a new forward in is imo one of the biggest potential risks in football. If Barnes and JV as twin forwards worked it would extend JVs career, and improve our pressing. IMO Iheanacho and Perez do "token pressing" .They are terrified any more might win the ball. Moreover I think JV and Barnes would enjoy each other's success, they'd love it. If BR selects Perez or Iheanacho tonight imo there's a big risk of no points against a weaker opponent ( as with Leeds and Everton). That could effectively kill our top 4 hopes and the effect on morale would dent Cup and EL hopes. Nice to get a thinking reply for once instead of the obsession with every player playing where his label suggests.A square peg in a round hole is often a better replacement for a worn round peg in a worn hole.(I'm an engineer by training).
-
YES. he'd obviously be even more of an attacking threat in the centre. Have a look at all his recent goals . He's often in the centre and receiving the ball in the centre. Barnes does n't feel pressure . he's very Vardy like . when he gets it wrong or fails he forgets it quickly .He is very under rated at LCFC . I suspect he's loyal, I know he's a worker . Other clubs and pundits are starting to notice whats under our nose. Kepp underating a player and eventually he'll get wise. Thats how you lose even loyal players. Almost every week he performs wonderfully. He must be getting a bit pissed off no one notices at KP. Do the obvious, he'll be even better with the confidence that will give him and when JV returns and they both play up front he'll be learning. next season we won't have to lash out for a striker. It will extend JV career. Just imagine defenders pressed by JV and Barnes or having both running fast at them.

Perez appears to me pretty isolated on the pitch and even in Tunnel cam videos. By and large our players look a gregarious , friendly lot. Some introverts, most extroverts. Can't be otherwise ,they are human.By nature I suspect Perez is an introvert. Lots of us are. maybe half the population. That does not mean he is a bad player and in fact there have been many good players even great players who are introverts, but you are more likely to get better results from players who feel part of the team and who are enjoying their football. Read about the effect of their time in Italy on Dennis Law and Joe Baker, not particularly introverted players and the effect on their form. I suspect playing for us he enjoys more than he did at Newcastle, but not enough. Anyone who has managed people successfully could hardly fsil to spot this. Perez obviously has courage and continues to try his best . BR is reputed to be a good man manager, Gerrard said the best he'd come across and he had a few in his playing career. BR has always struck me as a decent guy and the only way I can see he continues to play Perez when he has much better options is he is not ruthless enough. I don't think he will ever become ruthless ,or has to but in any field including football one sometimes has to be to do your job.well. In fact you are usually being kinder to the rest of the team, and long term to the player.. I believe these bad decisions are affecting our results and our success. I can assure that I would not be playing Perez who I hope eventually ends up at a club where he' s content. I don't think myself, that will ever be in the PL. I can't be sure this is correct but as I've quoted before I made my living from watching body language and faces. I was n't always right. but right enough often enough to make a good living. Have a look for yourselves. Theres.s plenty of video on the club match day page both match time. Tunnel cam etc. Incidently some members seemed surprised to find players followed FT. Believe me human nature says they all do . You do get actors and film stars who claim not to read their notices. There may be some but that is not the way to bet. Unless BR has found some way to stop it they'll all read the Forum. If you think you would n't you don't know much about yourself imo. I dislike this sort of opinion in a public forum but as I've said before I'm more interested in the progree of LCFC than individual players . Read Guy Roux, probably the greatest football manager , certainly the greatest I know of, On handling players. He has an entry on wikipedia which will lead you to more about him. He loved all his players and was one of the good guys imo but ruthless when he had to be.
-
I think expecting the opposition to move four men back at a corner is optimistic (and Ancelotti certainly would n't, based on recent Everton) but getting Vardy, Barnes and maybe another couple out of the area of the goal would imo certainly help our defence (especially Kasper) when the ball arrives. I like it , that is bringing Vardy back sensibly, (see my other heretical post, this thread.) and Barnes should be the "winger". far enough back to discourage short corners. I don't know their sprint and acceleration times but Barnes must be nearly as fast as Vardy, with or without the ball.. A tall quick midfielder ,who is smart maybe, could be, our best chance of eventually replacing Vardy economically. He ought to be young (almost always good) as well as he'd have to cope with accepting a change of label. Heresy almost in the current football world. Chances of it happening. Practically zero. This forum often has good points , mostly mine;-) in my opinion ,all it seems ignored by the club. BR is good (except re Perez, Sunday hopefully has solved that) but probably thinks "inside the box" ,However he does say he's looking for a midfielder first. And he said it after Vardy's recent injuries. Maybe hopefully he's smart enough to know what Vardy really does which makes replacing him slightly more easy. Knowing the specification is half the battle in successful replacement. We might even have one already who could be re=labelled. I made a point of watching Luton v Chelsea which was n't hugely encouraging but did n't rule him out although he's not tall. but neither is Vardy.I call "tall" six feet and up.

I've had a beer and cooled down a bit. Football is puzzling . I don't understand how BR who is largely responsible for building such a fine team , and squad ,man managing the players so well, can make such mistakes in selection which imo cost us 3 points today. Football has given BR a couple of bad personal knocks from which he has recovered well . I certainly rated him as a very good manager and had outside hopes he might become one of the few great managers . As yet we have n't had a really great one, by my definition, and are due one. another Pl title would have been a good start, now almost impossible. Its disappointing to have hopes dashed by bad selection ( in my view we have a squad which contains 18/19 class players with another two aging but capable of a good 45 minutes or even full match.) That has meant a strong team has always been available probably since New Year, and to select outside those 18/19 players by selecting Iheanacho or Perez may have been necessary before New Year but never since. Losing to Man C, L'pool or at the moment West Ham I think would be acceptable especially without Vardy and Ndidi , and in the case of Man C likely. To see the good perfomances of players stepping up from the weaker part of the squad in 2020 eventually wasted meant today was a big disappointment. That',s football of course, the price of being a fan. BR has greatly improved not just the team but the squad as well ,quite rapidly, so I still have hopes we achieve top 4, a very good EFL perfomance and maybe given a bit of luck a cup final. That should give us the cash to further upgrade the squad, but a couple more bad team selections could blow all that in 3 hours.
-
So Sad. That has probably cost us any chance of the PL this year which we had some chance of doing. Perez does n't pick himself which means its not 100% his fault. I can only guess at the effect on the rest of the team when they find out he's playing and I would forgive the below par performance of many of the others after ten minutes of playing with him. I don't think its too outlandish to say we might well have done better to play with ten men. Its soul destroying watching him.. His only contributions I remember are his offside ruling out a goal, his possibly preventing a goal by Evans off Soyuncu's header. He's like a teenager among men ,always in space because no one bothers to mark him knowing that in 3 strides they can catch him and take the ball off him. He can't keep up with the forwards when they attack and when he loses the ball he can't keep up with the opposition going the other way. I'll be blunt .Anyone who has failed to recognise (difficult for the wilfully blind) what a liability he is bears a tiny part in the responsibility for 3 points lost. We can't afford to give Man C 5 + points start. The club and BR obviously ignore this forum but a unified forum might have been heeded. He must be a very unhappy man. He seems a decent guy and must be aware of what he's achieved today . No. I'm not overeacting .It would have meant a great deal to me and others to finish at least second, possibly top again. Still there's the cup. EFL and maybe a top 4 finish provided BR , who after all is responsible for much of the greatness in this team, wakes up. He saw what I saw today. I feel almost as sad for Under. Why was n't he sent on at half time ? 12 minutes to turn a match around would be a big ask even for Messi. Gutted, I don't think I fancy MOTD.
-
I don't think many. Their heading has n't progressed to that accuracy yet. Much, more practice please . Few seem to realise that a corner needs much the same skills to score from as a cross altho there are differences. Practice ,practice ,practice attacking headers, corner taking, and mix them up.
-
Sorry, you want to change our formation to a formation ,unspecified , to accomodate Perez and Iheanacho together ????? Hopefully our formation will continue to change minimally to reflect our changing opponents, injuries and other non-availabilities. Never to do what's best to accomodate arguably two liabilities. So we play Perez and Iheanacho as replacements for Vardy and ANO (two for two as -per the rules- eleven a side)..We don't have anyone who plays anywhere as near as badly as ANO to make this balance. We probably have contenders for the role.
