  1. Absolutely awful. At first I thought it was some mass allergic reaction to some food they had but reading a 76 year old man arrested for intent to poison is not what I expected. Sadly, nothing surprises me these days.
  2. "He fell over"
  3. Typically, yes. There was a very significant case a few years ago where an Oxford med student was given leniency by the judge for her crimes. The crime of stabbing her boyfriend. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-oxfordshire-41389520 The really ridiculous thing is that, instead of taking that as a win, she tried (and failed) to appeal her conviction.
  4. A very fair and reasoned statement. One of the main issues the education sector has is that it seemingly can't satisfy everyone. Kids can be pulled out of sex education and when certain topics ARE covered, parents get up in arms. There needs to be a national, sensible discussion as to what people need to know. It's not just porn available on every device, though. It's also websites like watchpeopledie and ebaumsworld. The issue is less that kids can find this stuff and more that it can just appear in their DMs. I have never seen some of the more salacious stuff knocking about - beheading videos, animals being kicked to death, etc. That's because when I was growing up, you couldn't just send it in the same way. Now, you can embed a gif of a beheading into a DM and off it goes. Porn is kind of the misnomer here. It's peer to peer comms. The other, very useful, solution would be a cultural shift away from giving kids smartphones. That CAN be done but it needs the will of parents.
  5. This sort of raises a few questions and points, for me. The first being why did it fall to you to talk to them and not their parents? Based on my experience 15 is far, far too late to be having any kind of talk. As someone who was sexually active from 13 (along with most people I knew), this kind of thing needs to start at the back end of primary school. Even little things like calling it "the birds and the bees" talk is subtle code to kids/ society that sex is somehow different and needs colourful language. When we talk to kids about drugs, self harm and other issues, we don't really use euphemisms like that. So why do we feel the need to do it for sex? Just some thoughts. I'm personally against the implementation that they've put in place and would always put education first. Smoking rates were cut through years of education.
  6. An academy I work with sent their lot down to Arsenal to play their under 16s last year. The kid is absolutely insane. He absolutely bullied lads 3-4 years older.
  7. Overlaid with a banging euro techno dance track circa 2003 and flashy graphics that say SKILLZ
  8. Christ she couldn't even muster a half smile
  9. Technical skills and arrogance. They had a ref on their side and an absolutely knackered England in front of them.
  10. Spain will be absolutely ashamed they didn't win that
  11. Jesus Christ this is torture
  12. FOR FUCH SAKES
  13. Just play the Spanish at their own game. Get in the box. Go down.
  14. Taking it to extra time is better than I thought we'd achieve so fair play. Don't think it gets to pens, though.
  15. Ref's let a lot go as well
  16. Get in! Nice work Kelly
  17. Unsure why James started but here we are
  18. Nobody expecting that cross in then?
  19. Wow. My mate was convinced it was basically his funeral and considering they got EVERYONE over, it makes sense.
  20. It's the same reason GPs first off prescribe exercise and activity. Physical and mental wellbeing are immediately improved. It's not them fobbing you off.
  21. Would snap your hand off for any of those
  22. Top 30, 3rd in my age category and sub 25:30!
  23. No. Shame he went out on relegation but he's 38. He has had the kind of career most players can only dream off. Call it a day with dignity. Go enjoy the money and get auditioning for who plays him in the film.
