  1. Any other dog would have either been muzzled or put down by now. Once or twice you can say there might be circumstances. The way they dress and act might startle a dog. 20+ times says there's an issue. I am amazed that it hasn't, at the very least, been moved to a different part of the White House or only sees him in a safe, private area.
  2. Evidence shows January purchases, unless they're part of a long term strategy, often don't work out. Athletic did a youtube short on it and I was shocked to see 40% of strikers bought in Jan don't actually score for the rest of the season (top flight).
  3. BBC got an article about what's gone wrong at Celtic. I can think of two words.
  4. I'm with Jon on this. If the intelligence proves that Hamas are hiding among "safe" civilian areas, then fuch both sides for continuing to engage with this stupid cat and mouse game. At this point, I feel Hamas leadership (who are no doubt very far away in a safe place) are convincing young men to do deplorable things to sacrifice themselves, in order to goad an incensed Israel into doing equally bad things. No one wins this. However, in other news, Tories lost both by-elections. Quite badly.
  5. Someone glue him to the stadium. He's not allowed to leave.
  6. I am amazed we try and deal with Italian clubs these days
  7. That's very "if you're not with us you're against us" rhetoric and doesn't often win support.
  8. I'd go along with that but I meant more in his complete dishonesty and lack of respect for the office of PM
  9. Left in the US is quite different to what we would consider over here in Europe. They generally start at Thatcher and keep heading right. I've been told to see Democrats as one nation Tories and Republicans as something generally beyond what we have traditionally had as Conservative (up to Boris Johnson).
  10. In theory, we shouldn't actually need to change too much. Other than Kasper, Madders and Youri, the squad is very similar to the pre-relegation team and they did well. I don't think we need to spend loads, really. Certainly not to survive. To crack top 12 then maybe so but I am happy to go back up, take a solid return and forget this year
  11. Quite agree. You cock up twice, that's on the player. Not the ref.
  12. The Democrats have had FOUR YEARS to sort out a competent successor. Biden should have been a one termer to steady the ship and allow them to sort things out. But, no, this is what they've done.
  13. Through work friends, I gather the top top academies are making efforts to let the kids know there's a 1 in a million chance they make it and push the education side. But below that, many are still selling dreams that would never come true.
  14. Friends of mine who support other teams - Manchester and London clubs - have told me that we should just replace Sheffield United now and they can't understand why we went down.
  15. "You - Scottish/Australian. Run at him."
  16. I must admit, as we were edging closer to deadline day and it wasn't done, I felt it was never going to pass. Either the player had second thoughts, we did or he was given sniffs of something elsewhere. However, I was not prepared for the comical "oh fuch" ending to this saga. Would he be the sort of player we'd still want on a free after going up? Or, even if we did, would he still come?
  17. Is it 5 needed to qualify for championship winners medal?
  18. The "I'll do my homework before the start of lesson" mindset sticks with you
  19. I would absolutely be ecstatic if Enzo gets us up and stays with us a few years, stabilising in the EPL - a la MON. If has us top 10 EPL in the next 3 years then he's a hero, in my eyes. Brendan was the absolute best and worst you can get from a manager. It was exciting and exhausting. What we need is the passionate guy who gets on with it, consistently. The more I see of Enzo, the more I get that vibe.
  20. Absolute scenes when we just sign Bradley Dack
  21. Given we have Cannon, Vardy and Daka, as well as goals from the wings (finally!) I'd cash in. He's given us some great years of service and, for my mind, paid back the fee. Yes, he had a rough start but the lad played a big part in the cup run and the top 5s.
  22. Get out
  23. Oh christ I've got to do maths now. Would have been easier to just put a vague position on the table. I'd have thought we'd be around top 10 and sniffing for play offs.
  24. Not comfortable with him having played on Monday, if the club knew.
  25. Sorry I live 2 and a half hours away and I'm up at 6am for work??
