  1. I see the 85 minute brigade are off
  2. Shin splints - warm up. And I mean WARM UP. 5 min walk round your house Go up and down your stairs a few times Then follow this youtube video for stretches Then jog on the spot for about 2 mins Then walk round the block for about 5-10 mins Then start your run. Honestly, I started off getting them bad but warming up and stretching properly saved me. Your legs will get used to the work soon after.
  3. Having lived there and known families in the south, there's actually quite a strong sentiment from Northern Cypriots that they see themselves as Cypriot Turks and don't actually WANT Turkey. Simon Reeve did a great bit on it a while ago. If you can find the episode of his Mediterranean series, it's well worth watching
  4. Playing football
  5. Would assume insurance, as it's injury related. Must have found something chronic that is too much of a risk.
  6. The problem is what does a peace summit look like? Is that "look, you lost. Accept it and we'll go back to trading with you" or is it "well, you might as well keep the land you invaded, just promise not to go any further ok thanks"?
  7. Quite agree. He just seems a bit aimless and not quite sure what to do. I've seen him run himself into trouble when an old, smarter player would make the pass. If he was from our academy he'd get much more leeway but the Chelsea label doesn't help
  8. Be careful out there at the mo, lots of black ice. I did 2 outdoor runs this week and both times I ended up just running on road where it was clear.
  9. Interesting but not surprising
  10. I did Italy for the first time this year - Genoa and Milan. Really liked the former, not so much the latter. Hear good things about the Adriatic areas
  11. Amazed Arsenal haven't skipped Toney and just gone straight to Iheanacho. They've been linked before, I think? And he's quite a capable player for them. Also would cost a hell of a lot less than Toney, doesn't have attitude problems and hasn't been seen slagging the club
  12. It is very concerning but it's hard not to see the links between Russia and Iran, without thinking that this all stems back to Feb 2022
  13. Just further evidence of bias, really. Some teams just have it in for us and like to throw blame. That it's come from a Spurs fan is no surprise.
  14. Interesting. I think the ones I know moved there.
  15. I don't actually know anyone from West London who supports Chelsea. Spurs and Arsenal have the biggest followings, by far.
  16. Seen it all now - Spurs fan saying we're the reason FFP exists
  17. Maybe there's an agreement he comes to us permanently?
  18. Too late. Typing this in handcuffs.
  19. My heart just sank as the pub changed the channel from Sky to BT for Chelsea v Fulham
  20. So glad I saw some good gigs at the Charlotte. Sticky floor.
  21. I never tire of seeing him put defenders on their arse
  22. Bit nauseous over the whole Wrexham thing, now. I saw a bit of the documentary and while it is admirable that the owners (of whom I am a fan of their TV stuff) are emotionally invested, they've basically Man City'd their way up the league. The kind of sponsors they're bringing in are ridiculous for that level. Normally it's a local firm or maybe something regional but they've got multinational logos on their shirts.
  23. A solid, sound choice. Even if he doesn't get them far up the table, just steering clear of relegation will be enough. Probably puts another nail in the QPR coffin, though.
  24. What I've seen of him, admittedly only a few games, but he seems a bit young and lost. Like he doesn't know quite what to do. Hopefully these things can be coached into him. ...before he, inevitably gets sent back to Chelsea a better player
  25. Morons but that's Millwall. I've seen Man City and Liverpool fans mocking Munich air crash, people sing about Scousers in poverty and there's definitely been some Jimmy Saville statements directed at Leeds. Name, shame and ban. More than effective enough. The Wednesday lads mocking Sunderland's Bradley Lowery apparently were known for being idiots and were banned from every footballing pub in Sheffield, as well as from games and supporters groups.
