Week 5 of marathon training (out of 18). Had a bit of a cold but booked my accomodation. Big tip to everyone - don't do Edinburgh if you like money. The cost for two nights hotel, not even in the centre, could get me a weekend in Europe. Unreal.

Annnnnd back to the Ruud thread I go

With Trump, China and Russia, I can't help but feel that not only are we not going to have any impact on limiting climate change but we'll also see the worst impacts of it within the next decade or two. I could get to my 60s and see the likes of Norfolk/ Lincs just crumbling away.

Could it be that both managers don't suit us or the players? And also the players aren't good enough? And the board have cocked up, repeatedly? -
Just get Michael Sheen

Didn't have this on my bingo card

Well it's 11 players. Good start.

How long have we been on a downward trajectory?

If I were to be asked I'd say Mismanagement of the club, given the context of where we COULD have been. Most expensive squad to be relegated, when we had more than enough to stay up. Continued poor signings and poor decision making. The stalled stadium development. Seemingly taking on an unregulated bitcoin crypto scam as shirt sponsor. None of us expected to be regularly in Europe after the title win but what we did expect was to hold onto 4th when we had it, two seasons in a row and to have a financial plan in place that would avoid PSR cock ups. -
Jesus christ this is hilarious

Had that slightly spoiled by BBC, who flashed the score up a few seconds before. Crazy game.

And Rooney... let's see if he can handle the new challenge of speaking clearly
-
If he wants to be a top defender, he has to go into borderline hopeless situations and try his best. Look at Robertson. Played in a one season Hull side who had no chance when they came up and won himself a transfer to Liverpool, where he's won everything. If Okoli can't handle being on the end of some bad scores and having the mentality to keep going, he can't ever make it at the top.

It's my sticking point. I'm hovering at 70kg, 11 stone flat which for my height is a bit over. It's that damn belly fat causing aggro. But I'm down from 13.5 stone in early 2022 and I'm lifting far greater than I ever thought I would. I can squat and deadlift over my own body weight. Marathon training should hopefully sort it.

Preston away was something else. A rare beast.

Will I sort of agree that it's been blown out of proportion, I feel there's a real split in Man City's fanbase - those who will support the club if/ when they drop back down to lower tier and the money dries up and the arrogant ones who expect trophies.

Well, that's my dinner coming back to say hello

This season really has been a car crash, given only brief glimpses of success. Does feel like the monkey's paw for all the wishes we were granted. -
At this point I've just lost the desire. We're heading for a Stoke scenario. Mid table championship after a good run in top flight. If Top wants to sell up - fine, whatever. Your club mate.

Seen on the news this morning a load of tradesmen going down to Parliament to highlight tool theft. One bloke said he was in a house for 20 minutes, came back out and they'd cut a hole in his door to nick £8000 worth. Absolute scum. The damage that does to productivity as well.

KP. Easily. Love having my prawn sandwiches away from the rabble. -
Oh yay, I'm so glad I interrupted my lovely afternoon drink to check the score

2-0 Everton, all day long. Last week was a freak result.
