How is it possible to hate so much the club I love so much?

I think it is increasingly debatable that we have a talented squad. What is absolutely beyond debate is we do not have a hard working, win every first and second ball if your life depended on it kind of team. That is pre-requisite in professional football and we don’t have it.

I am sure you’re right but isn’t that such a lazy and complacent attitude. “better the devil we know” BS. The club is morally, financially and intellectually bankrupt. I am f’ing sick to the back teeth of the lot of them.

Luke Thomas epitomises everything that is wrong with Leicester. He is not professional league standard player. Yet the club reward him with a new FOUR year contract. What am I missing????

Leicester have regressed so much. I’d never thought I’d say that after watching last season. Were dreadful.

How he has made it as a professional footballer is beyond comprehension.

Good analogy. To be fair to you it’s seems highly unlikely you would have been aware of the toxic culture before you joined your organisation and I bet you didn’t trumpet your own ability to re-shape that culture. Cifuentes knew what he was letting himself in for.

I think that was comically the worse passage of play from any professional player - Soumare - I’ve ever seen. That takes some level of coaching 😩

We’re in a real mess. Any optimism I had when Cifuentes took over has completely disappeared. The football’s flat, lifeless, and joyless. We’re a club in slow decline, and what’s worrying is rock bottom still feels along way away.

Last nights second half performance had so many red flags. It was the complete inverse to his words about how he wants us to play. Does the fault lie with him or the players many of us have come to despise. We know Ayew, Thomas, Faes, Soumare et al are not going to change, so the fault now must lie at Cifuentes feet. He can’t dig them out again, he’s already played that card. The last card he has in the deck, is the youth card. Will he play it, probably not.

What the hell has happened to them in the second half. Just dreadful.

It’s not just you mate, I feel exactly the same. That second half performance was horrendous. Marti called his players arrogant. Need a performance and win in the Principality before the next international break.

I thought Cifuentes would be different but at the moment his actions don’t match his rhetoric. Playing the same players that have failed miserably in the past doesn’t scream progression. It’s abundantly clear to me that playing with Vestergaard (who ironically has been one of our better players) means we have to sit deep because his lack of pace leaves us exposed when we press and try to compact the play. This is having a knock on effect that there are lots of gaps in the midfield and we’re not getting enough attacking players in the box. He said his philosophy was the 3 P’s but he is currently compromising his principles so that we remain hard to beat. I don’t think we have the players to optimise his philosophy meaning currently the 3 P’s stand for Piss Poor Performances.

I think people are overreacting. He is a very young keeper and is learning his trade. If he was 28-30 years of age I’d agree then the criticism would be fair. Some posters said he was at fault for West Brom’s goal which was ridiculous.

We’re stuttering badly atm. I hope this is blip but these performances feel awfully familiar. Cifuentes is all talk and no trousers so far. Needs to up his game.

Cifuentes said he understood the club did he mean by playing the same old deadwood that got us into this mess in the first place.

Excellent summary. My observation from the stand and I saw this away at Oxford is that playing Vestergaard means we are set up to play rather deep. The gap between the defence and forwards looked stretched. For much of the first half against Cov we had no one in the box when in the attacking phase of the game. This set up helps Vestergaard and gives us defensive solidity but does help with the press.
