On the basis on what we’ve seen so far this season we’re going to struggle big time. This is the third game where we have very little if any control. Depressing so far.

Choudhury (Wrexham interest, Football League World)
Philkeavo replied to Sly's topic in Transfer Talk
I think this is the reality. Great to clear the decks of as many of the deadwood as possible, but we need a refresh as much as reset. We need an injection of fresh blood if we are to mount any sort of challenge this season. This might be the loan market, we cannot rely on the academy boys…yet. I’m with Alan 😂 on that one. -
He had a difficult game but Ben will learn more from last nights experience and performance than any other this season.

I can’t agree more. Yesterday’s game was a watershed moment for me. Everything good and bad about Leicester was laid bare before us. Senior players setting completely the wrong example to our emerging and talented young group of players - who needed them just to do their jobs. Choudhury as Captain is Cifuentes first mistake, I hope he corrects this. It’s not that he simply isn’t a good role model or leader, he really isn’t very good at football. How can younger players follow the lead of a guy who must have misplaced his first dozen or so passes. You then have Faes, Daka, Soumare and Skipp playing so badly how can we possibly expect players like Alves, Nelson, Monga and Page to thrive. Yesterday’s experiment failed miserably, I hope Marti saw that.

This is the stark reality that is dawning on many of us.

Shout to all the fans who made the journey to Huddersfield. Feel for you all driving back after that depressing display. On the game, I watched a dysfunctional display from a dysfunctional team, playing at a dysfunctional club. Atm all Marti has to look forward to is the closing of the transfer window and pray he has the semblance of a squad that can compete in the Championship.

Loans if anything.

Post of the day 👏👏

He’s not really a footballer to be fair 😹

Great goal but really how much room did he have. No closing down the space.

Cheer up Winks you miserable f**ker.

The lack of quality in the play tonight is staggering.

Horrible performance so far.

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

What about the alternative. Clubs unwilling to meet the release clause but offer below the release clause after its expiry date. BEK agitates for a move, the club need the money to meet financial constraints, he leaves before the window closes. This is also a possibility. -

Your recent optimistic posts are starting to concern me 😬 -
We are an aging-striker injury away from having no backup. I am sorry we cannot rely on Daka or an emerging Evans to get the goals we’ll need if promotion is a realistic aim.

Wout to Monaco (loan with ~€8m option, official)
Philkeavo replied to CloudFox's topic in Transfer Talk
I think if he could just focus for 90 mins on the game, just do his job and take some f**king responsibility for his errors. This is what grates me, it is when he makes a mistake (which is normal, we’re all human) he just never takes responsibility, we get amateur drama histrionics, finger pointing and arms thrown aloft. Own them Wout and you might be shown a little more respect. -

We’re gonna lose him aren’t we. -
The game yesterday screamed we need a striker like Kone, a target man. The amount of crosses we going to see from our wingers cries out for a finisher. I thought Ayew struggled in the front man role in the first half but was excellent in the second when he dropped deep. We need a another striker without doubt.

So little impact, what’s the word… anonymous.

Great win, very average performance. A win is win though so we move on.

Mads Hermansen sold to West Ham - Official

Yes this is what I heard was the fee when the deal with was done. Tbh £15m is on par of what we should come to expect from the incompetent Rudkin. We should always preface his name with the word ‘incompetent’ because that what he is and always will be, incompetent.
