I listened to Brendan’s post match interview on the BBC. It would appear the fans reactions to the performance against Chelsea is due to COVID and oh that (and I paraphrase) they, Chelsea are currently the best team in the Universe. I think his main point though is we (the fans) have all gone a bit loopy because of COVID .

When the ref assistant showed 7 mins injury time at the end i still wanted to hide behind the sofa as I was so nervous we’d concede again with so little confidence in our defending. It is not just the defence we look so easy to play through. Hey ho, we won in a bizarrely entertaining game, lets push on boys.

BR has rightly taken a significant amount of flak on here but he deserves praise for his decision to continue to rest Vardy in the UEL. Vardy was brilliant again today. The man is a machine and a footballing god. What a player.

1. Not really, he is just not ready for the pace of the Premier League. That said he needs to be withdrawn at half time.

Soumare is still adapting to the pace of the English Premier League. I also think he looks a bit too heavy and this is perhaps limiting his agility. I think he has huge potential but needs time.

Defensively still a worry but going forward looked good. Maddison, Barnes were especially good and even Perez played well when he came on.
