I think the PSR rules are changing to a financial penalty next season from a sporting one.

When should the 22-23 punishment / points deduction taken effect, last season? Does the EPL have it in the rules that they can suspend punishment by a season? What if a club fails PSR, is then relegated and doesn't come back up for 5 years, do they then get the deduction for the breach in the EPL? The whole thing is total bollocks.

As there was no cross agreement to punish teams and there appears to be a year in arrears for punishment in the EFL punishment, i think the PL and EFL could be pissing in the wind. If we pass PSR by June 30th I suspect we may be ok.

The way I see this, and its a wild guess, is that our punishment could not be given to us this footballing year as we were not in the EPL. Are we to assume the EPL can suspend the punishment until the following year? If by some miracle we pass PSR this year by selling a player or two and Enzo leaving before the end of June then I suspect we may not face a points deduction at all. This could be why we robustly defended ourselves against the EPL and EFL, both which backed down. This will no doubt cause uproar across the EPL and could rumble on for some time.
