  1. I'd always be playing my sisters records (as I didnt have any) and amongst the culture club, paul mccartney, the specials records was this one.
  2. Such a talent, could've been the next big thing if his head was right.
  3. You're agreeing with me though, I never said there was no trouble I clearly stated there was. There's plenty of footage showing fights breaking out with no-one around, in some cases fans being knocked out and nothing, no arrests. All this done with little to no segregation and a lack of security. Add to the fact intelligence to combat violence in the US simply doesnt exist its more a reactionary response if something happened. Fans can be banned but its rare, and even if you were banned getting around it is easy due to the lack of any organization supervising it. It's completely different in Europe and like i said if we had the same organistaion of sporting events it'll be chaos. It's a complement to the US sport fans that it isnt chaos. Add to this the fact fans can turn up hours before and drink all the time including in the stands it makes it even more amazing their isnt serious problems in the states. I do often wonder with the growth of 'soccer' and the MLS that it might increase violence and maybe the auhorities would change how things are done, my guess is they wouldn't.
  4. Sport in US stadiums is quite odd from the experience of an english fan, theres very little in the way of trained stewards that we have, its just usually security/policeand as long as you dont run on the pitch don't seem interested in doing anything else. They'll be fights breaking out and people being knocked out without security doing anything, even after that there seems little time spent on finding out who did what. And theres no real segregation and anyone can buy tickets for anywhere in any stadium. Given how lax the security is and how little is done to prevent trouble, its amazing there isnt more violence in the US, I guess it shows how well behaved they are, because if those same 'rules' were in place in europe they'd be chaos.
  5. I hope we don't take the lead...unless its in the last minute of added time. England remind me of Leicester in the early 90's, we'd panic if we took the lead, but if we were losing we always seem to pull a result out of the bag, usually right at the end.
  6. Lots of reports about dutch fans attacking English fans.
  7. All this talk about its englands year makes me want to lay them off.
  8. I find wimbledon so dull compared to other grand slams. The crowd have a lot to do with it, I know we'll never get the atmosphere of the US open or the Aussie open but so little engagement is a little off putting.
  9. Good luck, the idea of Canada winning it with their first attempt whilst the USA looks on having never done anything would be hilarious.
  10. Holland will probably set up more like they did in the 2nd half, looked so much better, much more dangerous. We have been so fortunate in the draw. If we had played well and beated those teamm in 90 minutes I would be confident. Holland will be a big step up and I think this is where it will end for us. My prediction before the games yesterday was for a Holland v Spain final with Spain sneaking it, I stand by that. Even if we were to get past Holland we won't beat France or Spain. But or me thats ok, I no longer go into these tournaments thinking we can win them, been doing that in every tournament for decades and it never happpens so now I just try and enjoy them no matter how England do.
  11. How bad is this euros that england and france are in the semi finals.
  12. Crewe are charging £28 for general admission tickets....
  13. Yeah holland to lose in the final would be my prediction.
  14. Well they're british so a good chance.
  15. I don't 'get it' either, each to their own though.
  16. Yet to visit a football forum that's better than Foxestalk.
  17. American beer?
  18. It will never happen here. As a nation we can't handle our beer.
  19. If you think it's been bad in Germany wait for America in 2 years, the yanks love throwing beer around. It really seem to become everywhere after the video of england fans in hyde park went viral. Although TBF to the americans their beer deserves to be thrown.
  20. I caught myself singing along to the avril lavigne set.
  21. so be it, given the circumstances I wouldn't care....i guess some do, and paid the price.
