Part of me thinks they can sense which way the wind is blowing with the club hierarchy and don't want to have to learn their craft from a coaching perspective in what they know will be a fairly tumultuous few seasons with a lot of churn on the side of both the playing staff and coaching setups.
I still think there's a role for the likes of Marc, Wes and hopefully Kingy at the club in the future, but I'm not sure now's the right time. I'd rather they were part of some Pearson-type rebuilding exercise after the dust has settled, to help get some sort of club culture back. We might have to slump back to, and then spend a few seasons, in the second tier to get there though.
