I mentioned in the non-league thread that I'd attended a game at Marine AFC the other week. Woke up this morning to an email sent out from the Chairman to everyone who went to a game this season. It's obviously a completely different level so there are different priorities, but I feel more valued after showing up to one match than I have done at any point in the last 8 or so years as a Leicester fan. The continued silence from our owner and board continue to be deafening.

We've basically got 2 Ipswich-type momentum fiends with more cash coming up - alongside our fellow relegate-ees - all being tipped as potential automatics challengers. If we don't get things right this summer, we're in deep shit, because automatics will be out of the question. And that's before you consider the likes of Sheff Utd. may still be in the division. We won't know until a ball is kicked how we'll cope, of course, just like last time when we got the late win against Cov and never looked back. Wrexham and Brum may turn out to be crap at this level. Southampton and / or Ipswich may struggle even more than us. But to me, this division looks harder to get out of than it did last time, even taking the decline of our squad quality out of the equation. All we really had to push us last time was Leeds and Ipswich, and we still barely scraped the title by one point. This time there could be 4 or 5 other teams there or there abouts. Personally, right now I'd bite your hand off for the top 6, given the parlous state of our squad and amateurs in the boardroom. Time will tell.

Can he be recalled after Cardiff's last game next week? Would be nice to see him get a few minutes for us before it's all done and dusted. Then again, RVN is clearly not interested in blooding the youth so I doubt it would be worth it.

As awful as he was, he does have the honour of being the only player I've ever seen score live after singing 'If (X) scores, we're on the pitch'. Took him about three slices of the ball before he bundled it in, and there was no invasion. A shitshow all round.

Last I heard they're 3,000 down on this season. Disappointing it's even that high an uptake really, but that's still a lot of lost revenue for 'em. Getting desperate.

Nah, at this point anything that minimises Forest's Champions League ambitions is the preferable outcome.

Farke says hi As for Piroe himself, a lot of us here - myself included - did a lot of mental gymnastics to convince ourselves we'd dodged a bullet not signing him and that Cannon would be a better signing. We were wrong. I'm still hoping we have a go at getting Kone from Wycombe, but more than anything I want Evans to be given a go. If he doesn't cut it then fair enough, next season is far more about rebuilding the spine from the ashes than an instant return to this shitshow for me. I'm cool with Ayew having a part to play, but if he ends up being the main man we'll have learned absolutely nothing and deserve everything we get. Daka, no, take whatever we can get for him. He was painfully average in the Championship last time out, he is not the answer.
