Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21

You’ve to be of a certain age to understand the Ewing connections 🤣🤣 -
Just don’t how to call this. It’s pointless trying to predict any results. It’s doing my head in if I being honest. How is it possible that the 3 teams who have gone head to head, winning against all in front of them, all of sudden none of us can’t buy a win. Totally bizarre 🫤

Is there a maximum point deduction in the EPL? Obviously we will need to sell KDH, we will have HB and Castanga, fees going into this years account, as well as the saving on wages for players that left on a free last season. Definitely we will get a transfer embargo(which will might help reset our finances), but I am so sure about the point deduction but. Some have said 15/10 points deduction. As that done before?

Not a chance in the playoffs. I just can’t the agony anymore. From where we were to where we are now, it’s an absolute disgrace. You can blame the board as much as you like, but this is down to Enzo and the players. Where I would defend Enzo, is we just can’t get the ball in net, however, where Enzo has got in wrong, it’s clear to see that Daka lost confidence since the Leeds miss and after his 1st miss in the 2nd half, he should have hacked him off, that’s afraid Enzo showing inexperience. Enzo style of play isn’t the biggest problem, but the lack of flexibility in match play situations. Surely it’s not that hard to adapt his playing style to apply more pressure to the opposition goal.
-
He was brilliant before his injury. Not been the same since. Perhaps he’s signed out, not risking injury before the end of the season!
-
What do you do, when we miss so many chances. I want Enzo out, because he’s so inflexible, however we created chances, and this is where the players needs to take responsibility. Niddi shouldn’t play, clearly he’s either not fit or he’s running down his contract and looking not to get injured of his next move. Something needs to change and if Enzo not going to chance our set up, we need to get rid of him. This is so embarrassing, we are the laughing stock of this division. Another weekend ruined. Thanks Enzo😡

Plymouth 1st home win in 6. 1st clean sheet. Leicester you should be embarrassed 😡😡😡

Do we still have a transfer embargo? -
Is this the most stressful season as a Leicester fan ?
Lad1966 replied to marcymarc666's topic in Leicester City Forum
So true. We don’t do stress free seasons. It worse now, because of the recent success we had, which has raised expectations. I remember telling my son, when we won the PL, enjoy this, because will at some point go back to a yo-yo club! I love the club (almost too much) and it hurts more the older I get, when we are struggling. I now need therapy before and after each time we play, this season🤣 -
This team and Enzo can’t play against a team who set up like Millwall did. Then they go and score a worldie. I didn’t understand why he needed to swap Niddi and Kdh around. It’s so frustrating, but I was expecting a game like this against Milwall, but I was hoping we would shithou*e win, at worse a draw. This is become such a nervy run in, not just for us either. I hope Enzo keep it simple and not trying to over complicate things !

Get another striker on, Enzo

These saving are from players whose contracts expired or we’ve sold. For example, we sold Maddison, players like Tilemans, Evan, Perez, etc running their contracts out. They will all be excluded from the 23/24 accounts. -

Next years accounts will show approx £26m in wages (offset by lost in tv revenue) and further saving of another approx £21m in wages of players contracts coming to an end for 24/25 accounts. Thats why getting promoted this is so important. The clubs financial viability isnt at stake there, but meeting financial FFP is, which will some sort of penalty depending which league we are in. I suspect the EPL will hit us harder, with less wiggle room. I guess we will need to use the loan market and free transfers until we get back to some so kind of normality -

These accounts are for 22/23, surely the relegation clause will show in the 23/24 season? -
We need to concentrate on what we need to do. It’s far too stressful worrying about us, as well as what our rivals are doing! Not sure my heart can take the stress for much longer. Just glad we won and played well doing it🏆🏆🏆

Were they terrible, or were we good and made them look terrible 🤔

I feel happy - not had this feeling for a while. Thank you. COYB

CYOB🏆🏆🏆 3pts please🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

The team/players are obviously struggling. Let try to get behind the lads and give some encouragement. I know it’s hard to do that, when they’ve been serving up the rubbish recently and we might not all like the style of football we are witnessing, but what we can control is the support and encouragement we as fans can give the team, and boy do they need us know.COYB🏆🏆🏆

If we don’t go up this season, we have to accept and plan to stay in the championship until we sort our finances out, as this has been the source of all our recent problems. We have money, but our current wage structure is so bad that we have clear out some of our high earners (most of which will be gone at the end of the season) in order to move forwards. and spend some that money! -
It’s more the people advising him that should be sacked. We have to remember that when Top father was with us, he was in sole charge. He had the sole power on decision making. This is clearly not the case now. Top become more reliant on the likes of Rukdin and Whelan. That’s where the changes need to happen and start rebuilding the club with clear strategy to firstly get us out of this mess and a plan to get us moving forward again, both on and of the pitch

Everything you read about LCFC is gloom and doom, whether it the financial situation, men/women teams and our board. We need the players to lead the way for the fans, we need the fans to get behind the team, which them the courage to take the attacking options. It’s not all down to Enzo, although he’s got a lot to answer for, but since when the 1st news broke re our finances broke, we seem to gone into our shell, almost if it’s saying heavy on the players. It’s a horrible situation we find ourselves and I don’t know the answer, not sure sacking Enzo is the answer right now, that’s for discussion once the season over, which ever the league we are in.I don’t think this would benefit the team, the upheaval would be huge, with all the issues we have going atm. As a fan base, we don’t seem to get behind the team when we are down, total opposite to Forest/Everton, their fans seem to rally the players during match and even lift them. our players need this, no matter we think of the players/tactics or the manager. I hope we get a positive result tomorrow and a bit of luck( we not had any for a good few matches)🤞 and start showing that we deserve to be promoted in one of the automatic places.
