  1. Wrong! I've heard the same club went for both! And spent upwards of £20,000,000 😬😂
  2. Didn't hit for me, but that's probably because I've never been less optimistic for anything in my life. We do need a call to arms though. We've no chance if the fans don't play their part, and we need to go big from the start. Especially whilst we're trying to attract (shit, old, over valued) new players.
  3. There's no point in forums if you can't speculate though! He could prove to be a brilliant signing but on the face of things we appear to be overpaying for a player that doesn't really solve any of our glaring weaknesses. And it's not the first time this has happened in this window! Gut feeling is that we are being taken for mugs whilst all other relegation candidates are making smart deals that strengthen their chances, whilst also making wise financial decisions (not that anyone would expect that at lcfc anymore)
  4. Has anyone checked his agency? Might answer some questions?
  5. Big week for the lad. Could be career defining.
  6. £20mill. I understand this club less and less by the day.
  7. We're literally going into the season with an OK championship side. It's going to be a long and embarrassing season. I suspect those running the club will desperately spend in Jan too, having learnt nothing in 2022-23
  8. I think it's now too late to hit the panic button
  9. I stopped reading after 1. That'll be nightmares for the next month. Cheers lcfc
  10. Bertrand was a good example of the club totally neglecting what had made us so successful. A money grabbing, selfish, injury prone joke who couldn't have cared less about the club. Soumare is a similar example, but at least looked to have potential. Ward...with another keeper we'd have stayed up. I'll never understand how he was selected. Or even a professional footballer. Which I guess takes us to Rodgers, who I still often think may have actually accelerated the club's demise for his own good. He was good for a few years though!
  11. "John, publish something about us maybe not being in the shit so some players may join us, good lad"
  12. My god. We're still in an era where a missed penalty defines a player's 5 year career at a club. I forget shit like that sometimes.
  13. He's also the reason we weren't relegated in March. Also won an FA Cup and Community Shield here. I didn't say applaud him taking a corner. I said don't boo him, and it'd be absolutely pathetic if anyone did so, in my opinion.
  14. Can we please not boo Maddison. Of the 22 players on the pitch, he'll have done the most for this club, and especially during that disaster of a season.
  15. 10 mill for a year is pretty eye watering
  16. Am I the only one who hates these types of tweets? I'm imagining 20 other clubs now piling in. Please happen 🙏
  17. We've missed out here. He'll do well
  18. He's a pure arsehole but we need whatever we can get and this is better than most. I'm hopeful we get it done.

Thank you. I'm nervously excited about the proposition, but it's likely going to be out of my reach financially anyway. Appreciate the advice 🙏

Hello. I'm in the market and weighing up 2 very different properties. One is seemingly very straightforward but the other needs a lot of work. It's stuck in the 1980s but aesthetics are generally OK for me to slowly tackle. However, I do need some advice on the following, please, if anyone is in the know... - the layout is not great. A very small kitchen and no open plan living spaces. All the internal walls are solid. What are the likely issues, costs, timings for knocking a couple of walls through? Would it even be possible? - electrics, et.al. A smaller issue but clearly nothing has been touched for decades. It feels like a very well built house, but are there likely to gebe hidden issues with other such aspects? Any help much appreciated. It's a big project and I've no experience or expertise, but if I could make it work then I'd be very happy there I think. Thank you
  22. I think, in all honesty, Buonanotte is a better player and with more first team experience. Hopefully I'm wrong.
  23. This does not make enjoyable reading!
  24. How the **** have we let that happen?
  25. This club confuses me so much
