I can't believe someone who was partly to blame for the shambolic season of 22/23 is still at the club! Too many of those upstairs have their heads in the sand, investigate themselves, and then find nothing wrong with themselves!

Has Ruud never seen Danny Ward during the calamitous season of 22/23? He should be nowhere near this club, it is obvious the players are shit scared playing with him. -
It just beggars belief that those upstairs think this squad is good enough for the Premier League, and Steve Cooper was the cause of the dogs**te we see every week. You can't polish a turd!
-
He hasn't played all season, and it looked like it. He looked like a headless chicken at times today, but so did many others in the squad. I suspect the poor performance by those around him made his lack of game time stand out even more.
-
I actually think Danny Ward has PTSD from the season before last, he looks like he's shitting himself everytime Newcastle come within 25 meters of goal
-
The quality difference is scary and Danny Ward should be nowhere near the club.

Brighton Home 2-2 Post Match Thread

There are only so many times you can play 'the get-out-of gaol card'. The team lacks some quality, but it does have heart. Will that be enough? -
Men against boys, you can see the quality difference, we are all huff and puff!

Good luck to RVN. All I want is some fun put back into our team; the "joie de vivre" has been missing recently. -
He was always the bargain basement choice. As soon as the club turned PSR on its head, he was going to be served his P45; it was only a matter of time. They knew he wasn't cutting the mustard, but it was just about being seen to give Cooper a chance!
-
We are the Keystone cops at the back, but I think Cooper's negativity is exacerbating the problem rather than alleviating the bomb squad at the back. He has no trust in our back four, hence the 3 DMs, which, in my opinion, invites pressure on our already fragile defense. He was always 4th or 5 the choice and it shows!

Southampton 2 - 3 Leicester POST MATCH
Le Renard replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
Cooper masterclass, the team plays shit for 60 mins, the opposition becomes complacent, then hit them hard. -
An "Identity", the 80's was generally kick 'n' rush. If teams are losing they seem not to have an identity, but when they are winning we somehow can see an Identity. It is one of those phrases du jour that seem to be bandied about by pundits these days.

I have been keeping the powder dry on Cooper, but I think I've nearly seen enough, he still has a few matches to turn my opinion around, but I think the writing could already be on the wall. I never understood the logic of replacing Enzo with Cooper, it is night and day. I think we have too many people locked away in their Ivory towers, who still don't accept that they were part of the cause for our relegation. So I don't hold out much hope for Cooper's replacement.

I worked as a revenue manager for an airline, dynamic pricing is applying the same method to one-off events. The tried and tested "it is supply and demand" (a capitalist wet dream) will be trotted out every time. It is only a matter of time before more extreme forms of revenue-grabbing will be employed by the big six, and then the others will try to follow suit.

Give the guy a chance.......for some on FT, that means at least 0 mins. Yes, we all want a bigger name, but who would want to take the poison chalice of Leicester with a whopping points deduction incoming?
-
I don't blame Maresca for going, we've all been at jobs where we are told one thing only to find that those above were bullsh*ting all along. It's just that most of us have to stay in the job, because we don't earn stupid amounts of money, and can't pick and choose when we want to 'flip the bird' to the boss.
-
I don't think I will be too bothered if he goes, I like him but I don't think he'll keep us in the prem with the players we have and the lack of signings incoming. The replacement will probably be in the style of a Pep wannabee, or maybe those up above might go for a Klopp wannabee, remember there are only two choices now!

What Have You Enjoyed Most About This Season?
Le Renard replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
Being able to sleep most nights after a midweek game. -
It is easy to say "Sell the club and p**s off", but who'd want to buy us with another season in the championship and a points deduction incoming?
-
Let's be honest most of us got swept up by the FA Cup win, and probably thought it was right at the time to keep our players and push on. Although none of us could foresee the drop off by the current squad and the sh*t we bought in the 21/22 season. I could imagine the furor if the club had sold our so-called crown jewels that season, who'd want to be a football club owner? But I still can't understand why those in charge were so blind. Most of us on here could see the drop-off, and the team was only going one way and Rodgers needed to go at the start of the 22/23 season. Since then we've been a laughing stock and have gone from 'How to run a football club' to 'How not to run a football club' in less than 2 years.

We cannot lay this all at the manager's door. The players need to look at themselves, they look like rabbits caught in the headlights, doubts have crept in, and confidence has drained under the pressure of promotion. There seems to be a reoccurrence of the two 4th place finishes that were in our grasp, only for our team to shoot themselves in the foot on more than one occasion. Some of the same players that were damaged from those campaigns remain at the club, hence we bought Coady to be a leader on the pitch and in the dressing room. Not playing Coady seems to be an odd decision by Enzo, if it is leaders we lack on the pitch and the club did indeed think that was the only reason we went down, then you have to play him. Obviously, those at the top never point the finger at themselves, but why spaff all that money on a player when the club is skint, and then don't use him? This to me seems to represent the malaise the club finds itself in. It could be a long few years ahead, but I hope not, and the players grow some and get us promoted.

I can't see Mr Hubris on the list, although that applies to many of them.

In my conspiratorial mind, the 22/23 season is starting to make sense. The club tried to sell players but were being lowballed because they knew we were up crap creek without a paddle. Agents were probably telling their players that the club didn't have a brass farthing to its name, so other clubs weren't going to pay the fee Leicester wanted. Hence the "run down your contract for a fat payday" scenario that the club faced and is still facing. Add the manager to the mix, who was sulking, lost his way, and is partly responsible for the mess the club was in. Then add to the mix, a board that seemed to be absent and had buried its head in the sand, and voila you had the perfect storm. Why is it our club seems to be the masters of shooting ourselves in the foot, head, arse, and then blowing its genitals off? It is never a dull day in 'Alice in Foxes land' ....it's time to bring back the 'Mad Hatter' as DoF to sort it out with a few head butts here and there.
