The Premier League was too manic for him. There is a decent player in there, but it was the wrong club, the wrong league, and the wrong manager. Spanish football will suit his style........ manana!
-
Loan him! If it goes tits up with Maresca ball, then the next guy who comes in will have to be a Pep acolyte or we're buggered. I wouldn't trust Ricardo or Justin to stay fit for half a season.
-
I know Rodgers had an unhealthy obsession with right & left backs, but it seems we've gone completely in the opposite direction. So probably a loan is a good option for now!
-
Can't complain at the moment, but I do worry he'll ship nearly all the RB's & LB's out of the club, then it will go tits up and we'll have to rebuild the defensive side of the team for the umpteenth time!

It is early doors but after last season, I'm just happy for us to win a few games.

Mike Stowell, Adam Sadler, and Lars Knudsen are leaving
Le Renard replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
This is usually the case, people on the outside can see the winds changing, but those involved are usually blind to what is happening. We have all probably experienced it with family, friends, or through work with a boss or colleague, but it still beggars belief that they even though top eight was possible. -
That's classed as obese in France!
-
Or some players have a cycle for 3 or 4 years, Ferguson was a master at refreshing parts of the squad if you look at Man U's forward line during his time, it was usually changed every 3 years. I don't think there was the same forward line for more than 3 years in a row.

Then there is the UK version!

Rudders & Whelan to review this season’s failings next week
Le Renard replied to JimmyC74's topic in Leicester City Forum
TBH I'm not sure you can put much blame on Whelan, she's just the financial operations, this should be on Rudder less and Top, they would have made the footballing decisions. If Whelan was going to be critical of Rudkin, then it would be kept in-house and not for the consumption of us plebs. -
Tielemans actually only had one good season with us, yes there were purple patches at times but he wasn't really very consistent. His time at Monaco was pretty poor, so out of the 6 seasons since he departed Anderlecht he's only had one outstanding full season. I hope people at the club are hanging their heads in shame at not selling a prize asset 2 years ago, all that nonsense about us not being a selling club anymore, as mentioned by Rodgers after the cup win, has royally screwed the club. You can't keep players who want to move on, it creates problems in the dressing room. Whoever listened to the snake oil salesman needs to fall on their sword.

Manager for the Championship rebuild - who do you want?
Le Renard replied to Happy Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Interviews are Russian roulette, just need to give each of the candidates a truth serum to cut out the bulls**t. I think if you want a manager just to get you a promotion it would be Scott Parker, although we are Leicester so it would probably go the opposite way...it is just the way we do things at our club. If I was looking to copy and paste Pep/Arteta/Kompany then it would have to be Maresca, perhaps he would be the real deal, as opposed to the self-obsessed/absorbed/arrogant Pep wannabee we had last time. -
Just because people aren't shouting from the rooftops doesn't mean those in the know haven't taken note! Spurs didn't go near him, and Rodger's probably was an ideal fit for them a year or two ago. I'd be surprised if any top-ten club touches him with a barge pole. The chairman/owners would have watched his antics last summer and wouldn't want that crap from a manager, they are probably bemused as to why he was kept in a job for so long. Also, they will look at the devaluation of the playing squad under his watch, and no club wants that.
-
It is all too easy to pile the blame on our own Rasputin. But for all we know, he could have advised Top to sack Rodgers earlier, and sell players like Tielemans. How much power does Rudkin really have? Is it a bit like Everton, where the board is just there as a convenience, because as we can see it is the owner/owners who are making the decisions? Although it still doesn't stop the Everton fan's call for the board's sacking.

I wish I had as much faith as you, but the glass is half-empty at the moment. -

I didn't say he'd come to our club, he'd be insane to do so! -
Manager for the Championship rebuild - who do you want?
Le Renard replied to Happy Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
He would probably get us up, his record with Norwich in the Championship is pretty good. I just wouldn't want him in the prem for the following season, games would be exciting but we'd ship more goals than this season. -
Can I be the sixth person to say "It's Tuesday"?
-
Without being Einstein, we know that was written for him, he's just signed it off. You have to be off your rocker to own a football club, didn't anyone tell Top that as soon as things go south, fans will want blood? It doesn't matter what you've done before or how much money you've spent, it will never be enough.

What is the first thing the club has to do?
Le Renard replied to BenTheFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Stop being in denial! I mean how could it happen to a world class board, world class squad and world class manager. -
Dean Smith New Interim Manager - Official
Le Renard replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
If he's guilty of anything, then it is not realising the players weren't good enough to go toe to toe with most teams. The penny dropped when it was too late, but he hasn't been the only one to be hoodwinked by the supposed quality of the team. -
TBH they have all been s**t so it doesn't really matter who he picks!
-
It has happened to a few clubs pushing towards the top end, and then it goes horribly wrong. Leeds, Sunderland & Villa are teams that have pushed for that top 4 or 6 place, they have come unstuck due to owners pulling the plug or just financial mismanagement. If you look at the prem, clubs like WBA, Bolton and even Stoke were talked of in glowing terms, they were pushing toward the European places at one point, then the wrong manager and wrong buys, then after it goes tits up. It is probably us winning the Prem & FA Cup that makes it more extreme, Leeds were playing Champions League football and pushing the top clubs, so I would think we are a closer example to their demise. Let's hope we don't end up in the wilderness for 20 years.
