The definitive list of King Power / John Rudkin c**k ups.
Le Renard replied to AKCJ's topic in Leicester City Forum
I suspect our problems stem from Top micromanaging the club and being too involved, we now have our own Vincent Tan. He should set a vision for the club and then employ the people to implement it. Instead, he's trying to run it and make crucial decisions and I suspect Rudkin just goes along with it; why bite the hand that feeds you? Most of us here wouldn't turn down his salary and probably all the other perks along with it. I want Rudkin gone but I don't think that will address the matter, maybe Top will bow to pressure and serve up Rudkin's head on a platter, but in this current climate, fans will want his next. -
When will the phrase "the players are not playing for the manager" rear its ugly head again? On this evidence, the players are just shite and it doesn't matter who the hell the manager is. And if Top listened to the players and got rid of Cooper as a consequence, then more fool him. Players are overpaid primadonnas and must be treated as spoilt children and not indulged!

RVN has made Cooper look like a master tactician. Most of us thought Cooper was too negative and that this team could play better. How wrong we were. -

I think I'd rather have Delia Smith! -
Well, our club better be prepared for the prostate exam by the EFL, they are going to make sure their finger is nice and thick.
-
Trust our club to buy players from a club that has the backbone of an amoeba. We've become a lower-level Spurs.
-
It is clear the club looks for a certain player profile, but what worked 10 years ago doesn't seem to work at this moment in time. The club has let valuable assets go for free, and rewards players who don't seem to merit it, and now they are shopping around in the bargain bins for a potential jewel that doesn't seem to exist anymore. Other clubs have seen what we did and usurped us, done it better, and are still doing it better. Maybe Rudkin isn't 100 % at fault and he could be just the yes man and I suspect it is a "don't bite the hand that feeds you scenario". Everyone hates the emperor's lackey or needs a Terry Thomas-style villain to vent their anger/frustration on, maybe that is why Rudkin is kept in his job, and Top evades most of the criticism. Either way, this club needs a reset, some fresh eyes, and maybe a Director of Football who can turn around and tell Top some home truths.

I don't blame him if he walks. The team is s**t and they think they are better than what we saw with Cooper, well that's been proven to be wrong They are still crap with a new manager with a more expansive style of football. I never thought I would say this but get Dyche, he can work with bang-average footballers, and he'll soon bring them down to earth. -
At this moment in time, why would you come to Leicester, I think he's made the correct decision. You can't force a player to play with a pile of s**t!
-
Players and board thought they were better than they really are, RVN can't polish a stinking slimy turd. Whoever comes in will find it almost impossible to get this bunch of crap further up the table. Perhaps Cooper saw the writing on the wall, he knew he had been dealt a poor hand so had to bluff his way through matches.

Spurs academy players are made of the right stuff for our club.

Get MON in, at least we'll play with a bit of grit and determination, it might not be pretty but who cares at this stage! -

Spurs must be laughing, fancy buying players from a club with a losing mentality! -
I would never have believed it, but is it time for Big Sam.
-
At least put buonanotte on for a bit of creativity!
-
Those upstairs believe we have enough quality to fight to stay in the division, need to get their heads out of each others backsides. They are deluded and if they can't see what we're watching every week, then they have clearly been taking too many drugs!
-
The crowd didn't turn in the 22/23 season when we had a squad to finish mid-table. The Irony is that the crowd will turn when everyone can see we're a dog sh*te team. Perhaps that's why it might become toxic, all the hope has nearly gone for now and the near future! I have just come to a calm(ish) acceptance that we're 90% relegated.

I don't think most managers can do something with our defence. That backline hasn't really changed since the 22/23 relegation season. It is no wonder that they look like rabbits caught in headlights at crucial moments, and the scars of 22/23 weigh heavily. RVN needs to find his Huth because I don't see a leader to marshal the backline, Coady isn't that person, he may think he is, but the evidence doesn't seem to lie. -

I don't think this is a right-wing or left-wing issue, with FT only representing a certain political leaning. It is a common decency issue about having some standards and not descending into the gutter, which we as football fans find so easy to do. BTW years ago I went into a working men's club, full of hard-core working-class Labour supporters, it was full of homophobic, sexist racist bigots, racists come in all shapes and sizes. -
Yep someone is getting some kickbacks, and I don't know who that someone could be.
-
Top's/ Kingpower's loyalty towards players and those upstairs is good when everything seems to be fine, but once it starts to stink the place out, then action is needed. There has become no jeopardy for the players or staff, Danny Ward shouldn't be at the club for crimes against Goalkeeping, but knowing our powers that be, he'll get offered a new 3-year contract.
