You would hope that it would register that picking the progressive option has massive upside potential. Big week.
-
Wilder would be a lazy appointment. If there is no appointment this week I think there may be a rush appointment but would have thought, in that scenario, Carrick would better fit what Top wanted (Man City lite).
-
Given the youth and patterns of play today I can’t see them going for Dyche, Wilder etc but if we really are fcuked with lack of cash I could see Rudders and Top going for Kingy.

Leicester vs Peterborough United - Pre-Season

Only preseason and game1 in but Aluko impressed me today. It is promising that we should have a few lads (Aluko, Page, Monga, Evans ) around the first team squad this season. -
Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR

Don’t know why but Villa annoy me, probably because they have surpassed us, seriously upgraded their manager when we dithered to bin Rodgers, recruited a top class Sporting Director in Monchi, and have continued to spend never minding the rules -
Of course no gtee he will hit the ground running or dominate but part of team promoted from Bundesliga 2last season contributing 11 goals and 6 assists.

Maybe so, just depressing the state the game is in general. -

Not saying we can reach automatic places, that would take a crazy, sustained runs of wins but I think we could get playoffs even with a 6-10 points deduction (expect we challenge anything above, there is some agreement reached to settle under this).

Even though there is a lot of uncertainty around the PSR penalty and identity of the new manager there are reasons to be hopeful. Stolarczyk has shown enough to suggest he is more than capable to step up and be our No.1 this season. In Mavididi, Fatawu, Monga we have pace and threat in attack. With the likes of Alves and Evans also in the mix this is a promising source of assists and goals. Hamza, Winks, McAteer, Nelson can operate in the Championship. Winks has a question mark over him because of his attitude this season but, if he knuckles down during preseason / under the right manager he could still be useful - so the jury is out on him. Ricky P - assuming he stays - still has quality, if not the same pace as before. He may not be able to play as an overlapping full back but would be a quality playing in midfield alongside a more mobile, physical midfield partner. The standard in the Championship was poor 2 years ago. It may be more competitive this season but we dealt with Ipswich and Southampton at the end of the season, who are likely to be contenders for the title and I don't see us being a million miles off them. Questions | challenges We appoint a progressive manager that creates an identity and holds the players to high standards. I think Rohl is that but if not him someone whose career is on the up. We need a reliable striker - have we got the money and scouting network to identify and bring in someone permanently (budget permitting) or a season long loan (just don't mention Edouard)? How many need to be sold for us to be righteous under PSR and then how much of the proceeds raised can be reinvested in the squad. Can we find buyers for the likes of Coady (this one seems likely), Vestergaard, Faes, Mads, Bobby Reid. I can see us finishing in the play offs - lots depends on the manager and that he is backed, allowed to spend a chunk of what transfer fees are brought in.
-
Think the logic was that 12 was a starting point - using Everton as the comparison (Prem recommended 12 but IC discounted down to 10, then 6 on appeal) but we hadn’t played nice so unlikely to receive discount for being cooperative. But who knows.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy - Sacked - Official
JimmyC74 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
What I don’t get is why announce immediate termination today - a few days before end of June / reporting period - as I expect we now need to record cost of termination in this years financials? Strange given PSR. Can only assume we made decision based on waiting for a decision from a specific manager (Röhl) agreeing to take job. -

Gone. What now? ambition or safe pair of hands. -
Likely wishful thinking..........what's the chances post Jul1 there is an announcement about the ownership position / bringing in a co-owner or selling a controlling stake to another Thai company?
-
With the developing news of KP's financial problems, you might think (if there is any credence in the Thai investment talk) we would be hearing more definite talk of someone coming in as a co-owner / buying a controlling stake.........maybe after July 1st?

I think rudders stays in role so long as Top remains Chairman……… Imagine it’s a bit of we have had a bit of bad luck (no one could have predicted Rodgers to implode, Enzo leave so soon) but will turn this around with time. Let’s keep the faith and stay the course.
-
Likely to be at least 8 more days of radio silence before a decision on the manager, which when it comes will be seen as underwhelming by some. No news on transfers incoming / outgoing but potential points deductions and other sanctions (maybe transfer embargo) hanging over the Clubs head and no change in who runs our great Club. Would be great if there is a plan which we can all get behind so we can look forward with some optimism…but no chance of that being communicated…..feel increasingly disconnected from the Club.
-
You would like to think there has been strategic planning, everything is lined up and ready to go …..but would you really be surprised if they didn’t, we keep RVN and either bring in some new coaches or promote Kingy?
-
More chaos. But am sure Rudders has a plan….. well maybe
-
The prem is where the money is tho. Eliminate Chelsea and Man U where to we sell him that delivers a double digit million fee? And if we don't get that where else to generate funds? My worry is if we fail to sell Mads our (incoming) transfer business is seriously curtailed
-
Danny Röhl….it was fun whilst it lasted…….. Next managerial cab off the speculation rank…..the ginger mourinho
-
I thought the recent fan channel interviews with Rob Tanner were very telling (if not a surprise) - suggesting Top was steadfast in his loyalty to Rudders due to the support he had given to him, his family over the years (especially the passing of Vichai). That loyalty is very admirable, but it is a handbrake on the Club progressing. If Top can't see that as a *minimum* Rudders needs the support of a sporting director / someone to share the load then we are destined to repeat the same mistakes as in recent years.
