  1. So before we kick off we are bottom 3. Whilst it’s very unlikely we steal 3 points tonight we need somehow to start taking points from the top half sides to stay close to/ try and pull away to safety. Hopefully we can be competitive tonight and make it difficult. Take a draw now.
  2. Not expecting much from today. would say we should try and park the bus but not sure the lads know where they last parked it.
  3. We are desperate to add quality to the back line but also pace. If Chilwell is desperate for game time I guess there is a chance of a loan deal but, I think right back is more pressing at the minute. If, and it's a big if, the deal was right (finances / wage share) and he had the right attitude it could work / you wouldn't turn it down. Same argument for Maguire / Lindelöf.
  4. The whole football operation is (or appears to be, take your pick) not joined up and it’s just clear to many of us that you need someone with a proven record to come in and get a grip. There are so many issues: - multiple centre backs in the squad of a similar quality / possessing no real pace. - too few full backs (numbers & quality). - relying on a almost 38 year old (legend) to carry the burden of goals. - recruiting several players in the summer who can’t get a game / haven’t improved the first XI - Failing to provide any real pathway for emerging / youth talent. As others have said the squad is much weaker than that which got relegated in 2022, we have no sellable assets beyond Mads and the we need a minimum 3/4 additions in January. Hopefully we can have a strong window but, even if we do, the best bit of business we could do would be to bring in a new DofF. If we don't move him on history tells you we will face the same problems again.
  5. There is a lot of work to be done in January, probably very little funds, meaning you need an adept operator to move some out and some in - but Rudkin ain’t that bloke. Sadly.
  6. Have @Ric Flair’s famous Rodgers era fook off rant in my head after that result.
  7. Wholesale change.
  8. We are so, sooooo bad
  9. How many times will we get caught out on the right before we learn….. it’s getting like the set piece weakness under Rodgers before he was binned
  10. Another excellent episode 🙌🙌 Debate on Skipp right on the money. Also interesting discussion on academy. There was a time when we employed likes of Paul McGuiness you thought they were going to really focus on developing / bringing through the younger players.
  11. No doubt the constant pressure on our defence is a big issue - as it was in the relegation season - and is possibly as critical as the need for a new RB and CB. The Skipp transfer so far has failed to improve us and looks a waste of money - especially as Soumare seems now to be preferred. Can we buy another six before selling one of Ndidi / Soumare / (can we sell Skipp in the same season as buying him?). I think we will struggle to do more than 3 deals but most of us probably think we could do with 5 or 6 incoming.
  12. Defo RB. Probably a CB also as priority must be to reduce the number of chances.
  13. Sorry to hear Ric. Hopefully things improve and we hear from you and the lads soon as it means things have picked up.
  14. Agree that we will struggle to get in more than 3 this window. key for me is they must, must improve the first XI and be ready to start pretty much straightaway (no extended bedding in period). Lots of areas need strengthening but Imagine we will prioritise a right back and new centre back.
  15. Once again we approach a transfer window which is critical for the Club, both in terms of its league status and financial performance (PREM survival, avoiding EFL penalties )and hoping beyond hope (ignoring the mistakes)that Rudders & the recruitment team has lined up a few quality recruits, we are ready to press the button and complete deals. I still don’t think Rudders has the attributes we need to be successful long term but here’s hoping he proves me wrong this window and we recruit some first XI players who are ready to start / improve us.
  16. The January window was always going to be important but you feel even more so now.
  17. He has never really established himself at Yanited and played less games this season than Evans. That said he probably is an upgrade on what we have, can also pay right back and comfortable on the ball, so I wouldn't be unhappy with a loan.
  18. With Ricky P out for a long time and if we are going to return to inverted full backs, then a new right back is needed.
  19. Centre back with pace and inverted right back.
  20. Great fight from the lads. hopefully we can add a bit of quality in Jan and pull away from bottom three
  21. likely that it will take another relegation before Rudders is given the shove.
  22. For a supposed international the lad is so inconsistent and often reckless. He has been here long enough that I doubt any coach can eliminate the mistakes in him Time to say thanks and off you go
  23. What is left to say about this defence #whiteflag
  24. You just know Ruud will be askingTop / Rudders - how much did you say was in the transfer kitty cos I think I need an entire, new defence
  25. Not before time. Hopefully the next manager is already lined up and we don’t spend weeks negotiating with the first, second, third name on our shopping list. Let’s not waste time trying to charm Potter ….again.
