I've said it before but it is astonishing how he seems to consistently get better every week, especially when he was already playing to a high level. You just have to wonder how long he is going to keep improving and whether he will be able to keep up the consistency.

Aaron Ramsey joins on loan - Official

He showed enough in those couple games before his hamstring that i think it's worth sticking by him depending on the severity of his injury. We're threadbare in midfield as it is. -
5 apparently although Im sure there were a few more that he "lost" but did enough to put off the attacker. (Ignore me that stat is from the other game against Derby earlier this season)
-
It makes our situation even more galling how lucky we have been with our outgoings.

All thanks to me for slagging of Reid for starting

Get ready for losing key players to Wrexham/Coventry in the next couple seasons.

There is a strong correlation between Ayew and Reid starting every game and my growing desire to stop watching this sport.

Do we really want promotion this season ??
honeybradger replied to Timfox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Let's be clear, if we go up this season we are breaking Derby's record, last time we had our record net spend in the summer on top of a far better and more confident squad and we were still rubbish. This time we will not have much money to spend and what we will spend will go towards players in the Ayew, Reid, Skipp mold I.e. benchwarmers of established PL teams. Much rather have another season in the championship with the likes of Braybrooke, Nelson, Alves, Evans, Hutchinson, Aluko, Page playing a regular part than us go up and watch our current seniors and new recruits stink up the pitch every week. -
It's honestly saddening the number of people chomping at the bit to have a go at him on here. Faes has been catastrophic for us yet you still have fans adamant he's our best centreback coming into this season, Vestergaard was worse than Nelson against QPR yet he's still somehow considered one of the best centrebacks in the league by fans. Nelson has one bad game and it feels like he's on his last straw before being completely written off for some. I just cant comprehend why the academy players are held to a higher standard than the highly paid seniors who required a fee to bring in, should be the other way around.
-
He's statistically one of the best dribblers in the championship already. QPR fans are raving about him after his brief cameo against them, some saying that he is one of the best players they've see at this level. It's only our fans that are strangely negative about him but if he were playing for another championship side we would be saying Monga would be a dream transfer for us. It's this strange effect of the grass always looking greener on the other side of the fence that stops our fans from appreciating what we have.

Development/Youth Squads 2025/2026 Thread - U18/U21
honeybradger replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Crazy goal and assist from Hutchinson for the u18s the other day. You cant convince me that Ayew is better than this. He got 2 goals and 2 assists in total but havent seen clips of the other two. -
Philogene was rubbish against us as he is most weeks. Scores a banger every 5 games off the bench then does nothing for the other 4 games, if that's what we need then we should have kept Demarai Gray. Much rather have Monga.
-
Alves is 20 and already has a decent half season in the championship on loan and was doing fine in league one before his injury. You're talking like he's 25 and has struggled to perform when out on loan when that is not the case. Very strange to be so confident about a player struggling when Alves is on track for a good career at the level we're at currently despite his injury issues.

Im not saying he's crap, im just saying that the squad and culture and whatever else that he left us with was not good. Maybe he would have done a better job than Cooper and RVN but in terms of leaving the club in a healthy state so that the next manager can benefit, which Pearson and Puel did, Maresca absolutely did not do. In terms of culture you cant factor out the way he left which left us in disarray and the whole "this is the way we play" mentality being drilled into the players made it an impossible job for the next manager to put his tactical stamp on the team. Also many of his favourites, Faes, Winks, Mavididi (who i like but he gives up too easily), Vestergaard and also Fatawu (who is our best player but also temperamental) are part of the culture problem at this club. Maresca didn't leave us any leaders.
-
Would be an upgrade on Skipp at least but I think we would be better off with Braybrooke.
-
Enzo was not a builder, the state he left the squad in when he left was not good. He played Faes all season and hardly gave Nelson a sniff, contributed to Vestergaard re-signing, hardly played Akgun who has gone on to be a good player, brought in Winks who has mostly stunk up the place, brought in Coady who entirely stunk up the place, brought in Mavididi who is as fragile as they come, Fatawu was a good pickup. A proper builder would have gutted that 23/24 squad and not brought in Winks and Coady, would we have gone up that season? Probably not but we would likely be in a better position now.
-
Who would we start instead. Even if Nelson was as bad as Faes, which he isnt, it's better for him to play than Faes as he's still learning and can also get us a decent fee if we sell him.

QPR 4-1 LCFC, post-match thread

Are we just pretending that everyone wasnt saying "he's finally starting to get it" when the lineup came out? -
Dom Ballard is better and younger.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid joins permanently - Official

Had a good run of goalscoring form but sadly outside of knowing where the net is he's a league 2 level player. -
Aluko is the same type of player to Woyo but better.
-
He might want to stay at Newport but frankly we need him. A player that always plays to his best no matter the situation around him would be like gold dust to this side whose heads drop as soon as we concede.
-
I dont understand the love in he has for Ayew I just dont. Popov, Evans, Mavididi at striker, Hutchinson. Anyone over Jordan Ayew. We just need some dynamism up front.
